HIDDEN GEM! Well it's true what they say. The best pho restaurants usually have a number in the name. And I can say this is true across America and Canada. Cali girl here *wave* I tried a bunch of different places but couldn't really say any was a favorite. I finally asked my nail tech what her favorite place was and she recommended Pho 37 and she was not wrong. Then I remembered that my nail tech will never leave me astray. I only had to try their pho once to know, THIS IS IT. Then I had to get their Bun Bo Hue, just tomake sure. The triple crown will be their Banh Mi, which I'm excited to try next but so far 5 stars all the way. Best Pho broth and the best Bun Bo Hue that I've found so far in the downtown Vancouver area. I'm sure as you fan outside of the city limits that there are just as good options but I've finally found my go to spot close to work and home after 3 months of living here. A plus plus is the huge portions but I also have to commend the meat to noodle ratio is just perfect. This is a cute little spot on Robson. Don't sleep on this one, ladies and gents. I stopped in around 5:30 p.m. on a Sunday, and nearly every table was full. Even with the crowd, I was seated right away. The only small issue was that it took a little while before someone came to take my order, and I eventually had to wave someone over. It wasn't a big deal, though, especially considering how busy they were. The portions here are huge, especially for the price. The broth was a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but it was very clean, clear, and flavorful. This is what I look for in a good bowl of pho. The noodles were cooked perfectly and had a nice soft texture. I ordered a combination bowl. My only suggestion would be a bit more of tripe and tendon. The tripe was a little sparse, and I honestly didn't realize I had tendon until I was almost finished with the bowl. But I like those, and not a lot of people do. Despite the restaurant being packed, the staff was stayed attentive, kept food coming out quickly, and did a great job taking care of everyone. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming. There was a nice mix of people. Some quietly watching videos on their phones, others catching up over conversation. It felt like the kind of neighborhood spot that attracts everyone. I forget the name but it's a different flavour from what I'm used to but still really good and I'd get it again. We come here regularly and the staff are really nice. This place serves delicious, large portions of vermicelli bowls and pho. Best part about this location is little to no wait compared to their Richmond location. Ordered the chicken pho which isn't fully chicken (it has pork in it). However, it was still really tasty! The broth was slightly meaty given it had some pork broth, and it was large enough for 2 people to share! Also ordered the spring rolls which came out piping hot and were delicious! Came here for dinner with the family. We started with a sampler platter, which was a mix of spring rolls , shrimp, salad, roll, and meat with vermicelli. It was well cooked and tasted great, especially with the dipping sauces. Everyone at the table had pho. My boyfriend had number 12 medium rare beef noodle soup. He enjoyed it. I tried it and it was delicious. Someone else had beef tenderloin noodle soup, which they enjoyed thoroughly. I had number 17 the seafood noodle soup, which was also good and the first time I've ever had seafood in my pho. Probably not gonna get it again, but it was good to try. FOOD - Bun Nem Nuong Cha Gio: vermicelli noodles with grilled minced pork and egg rolls (spring rolls). I call it egg rolls but some people call it spring rolls. It's the fried ones. Haha. The nem nuong was tender and flavorful. The egg rolls were good but their nuoc mam was a little on the bland side. 4.5/5 SERVICE: Fast and friendly. We needed change for parking but we didn't have cash or coins. We asked if we can pay extra on our bill and get some change for parking but the staff just gave us the money for it. There's an extensive menu that includes a wide range of appetizers and mains, including Bun (vermicelli bowls) and Banh Mi sandwiches. We were recommended this chain by a friend who is local to the area. However, I think the experience may vary by location. When I tried the soup, my first reaction was that it was a bit too salty (but not too salty to where it was unbearable) As someone who is particular about pho, the only downside was the saltiness, but the flavors were still great, and I would come here again. We got cold and tired while exploring Vancouver so we popped in for a warm lunch. The food was SO good! My husband actually doesn't usually love pho and tend to go for the rice dishes but I guess the cold weather got him to want to try some soup. He got #37, the house special noodle soup, I wish we knew how huge the bowl was going to be and we definitely would've split it between us. The portion is so generous! The #37, as our waitress explained to us, is the namesake of the restaurant, and it's a special recipe.We have never tasted anything like it, there's a rich, toasted flavor to the broth that is so much more nuanced than my "normal" pho, which is also super tasty, and has more spiced/herbaceous notes. We both enjoyed our lunch and could not finish bc the portions are huge! We highly recommend this restaurant and def the #37! read more

This is one of my new fav places in the heart of Vancouver's downtown. It seems small and casual from the outside but inside the ambiance is cozy/elegant. The service was super great and servers very friendly and attentive. I loved the variety of menu that was ample enough but not overwhelming. And the prices very reasonable. Everything was wrapped nicely, paid shopping bag for 15 cents it was sturdy. The portion of my food was huge. Friend said Banhmi was so delicious. Couldn't take any photos due to glitch on my Iphone. Highlight items: **Hue Style Beef Noodle Soup ... this is their version of Bún bò Huế : BBH, I like that they are honest enough not to use the original BBH name as I find a large number of Pho places say they serve "BBH" but in fact it is not the "full" version where they have chunks of Pork Hock, cubes of Pork Blood etc. I like their version here as they do have pork blood cubes & boneless sliced pork hock, and of course their soup base is a perfect balance of spice in a savoury broth!! **Sample Platter for 2 ... if you are in the mood of sharing this is a great way to savour different items and still room for dessert!! I read some other reviews before dining and am sure glad I did. Tuan's Special Beef soup, on the back page separate from the various phos, was huge and fantastic - the broth oh the broth! Two people could share it for sure. The spring rolls were fried (to my surprise) and very good, crunchy with good flavor without being overly oily. The pho ga (chicken) was... bland/boring to me? Life changing pho 11/10. Pho Tuan's Special Beef Noodle Soup (#40?). This is their specialty dish that makes this restaurant stick out. If you come here, you need to get this. It's flavor profile is different than any other because the soup has a very nice charr flavour to it which I've never had at any other pho or beef noodle restaurant. It's a rich, soup with no MSG. Very large portions with lots of noodles, soup and meat. The pho came hot, the meat was cooked well with a good amount of it still rare which I like. Typical garnishes/herbs with cilantro, spring onion, pickled slivered onions and bean sprouts w/ thai basil on the side with a slice of lime. Overall, really well done. Nice thing about this restaurant is that they have the hoisin, sriracha sauce out as a lot of restaurants have stopped because of covid.
