Not going to lie but I like the way they do their Banh Mi here. Might have to be my favorite. I just like the bread they use, its always soft. October 27, 2025 - Today, I try Pho Mimosa. We got the fresh roll (I don't recall what the other appetizer was) and I got special beef noodle soup. The fresh rolls were fresh and packed with veges and shrimp. The pho was really good too. The soup base was not too salty. It was filled with noodles, garnish, beef and an assortment of vegetables. Randomly discovered a vietnamese gem on uber eats in the downtown area. Their shredded chicken pho and stew beef vermicelli tastes super bomb too but forgot to take a picture. I love the presentation of the mango sticky rice and this one had a different kick then what i'm used to. This one came with crushed nuts to sprinkle on top in addition to the coconut milk. I love how the sticky rice is green and was moulded into a heard shape. Pretty decent portion for only $8. I can't really say what the overall restaurant looks like as i've only had it through uber eats a few times. But all times i ordered, the food was always delivered fresh and piping hot. Great presentation and portions. You know a vietnamese restaurant is good too if it tastes just as delicious when delivered vs eating at the actual table. The service was pretty good, order was accepted and ready in a reasonable time and delivered as quoted . They close at 11 which is later than a lot of vietnamese restaurants. This is a pretty no frills sort of place where the service is a bit short and to the point, but damn the pho was pretty tasty so I can't help but be happy for it. Fantastic pho and wonderful rolls. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The pho tastes like a rich bone broth and not the salty junk we get in the United States. This was a cute little restaurant a few blocks from our hotel. It was full at 9pm on Saturday night. The servers were nice and attentive. The spring rolls were really good. My husband had the vegetarian pho which he quite liked. I had the Lemongrass Chicken Bun which was tasty and fresh but I wasn't blown away. One tip-they do not bring the check to you so go up to the bar when you are ready to pay. Luckily the table next to us let us know when we were waiting for a bit. In addition, there were very few crushed nuts, and many of them were full-on burnt instead of toasted. It was also fairly sweet. The sauce, which was even sweeter, was on the side. The vegetable curry with rice was fine. The salad rolls were very large. I wish they were available to order one at a time. The food was securely wrapped, so no spillage. read more

I was recommended this place by a friend and they have a satay pho so I made it a point to come. It is located on Davie and Granville so I expected it be quite busy. They have great reviews as well so I came prepared. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by this place. I ordered the veggie pho and upgraded to the peanut satay. Popped in randomly for lunch after thrifting along that street! It was pretty good. They gave a ton of noodles and toppings and for the price, you can't beat that. The broth was pretty good, I wish it had a little more beef flavor but I was still very happy with the flavors! Good amount of greens were given too. I also had their avocado smoothie which was perfectly creamy and sweet. The waiter was kind and would keep checking in on us to see if we needed anything or more water which was highly appreciated. We needed some food for our 6 hour flight back to NYC so we thought of banh mis. Pho Mimosa was a short walk from our hotel. We called just before 11 on a Thursday, when it opened, for a pick-up order. We got one classic cold cut and one pork patty banh mi. I must say, this might have been one of the best pork patty banh mi's I've had - even when eaten cold, hours later. They give a good amount of pork patty and actually cut it up so that it's evenly distributed throughout the sandwich. So you won't get a banh mi where all of the meat is on one side, and all of the pickled veggies are on the other side. They were still making the sandwiches when we arrived after their quoted time, which was fine because that means they're making it fresh. I'm just sorry we didn't get a chance to try some of their other dishes. But if you need something for a flight, Pho Mimosa is a wonderful option for banh mis! read more

The papaya salad lacked a bit of flavour. But, the chicken salad rolls were to die for! They were packed with vegetables and chicken which was amazing because usually it's all noodles. This unassuming restaurant on Granville street serves up some fantastic Vietnamese cuisine. My favourite (#58) Bun Ga Nuong Cha Gio is grilled lemongrass chicken and a spring roll on vermicelli with a coleslaw like salad and roasted peanuts. It is delicious and very reasonably priced. I eat dinner at this place almost weekly with friends. The service is so prompt, we barely sit down and there's cold water and menus on the table. And the orders come to the table quickly. Over the past few months, they have been updating the ambiance. The first time I noticed was when they added new lighting, then the freshly painted walls. They are getting better and better. I went to this place for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. On that day, I ordered the Pho with Beef and Tripe. The dish tasted ok. The broth was a little under-seasoned for my taste. I was having a difficult time finding a high rated Asian food place near my hotel. This one came rated the highest. The ambience was okay...sort of old place I think. Service was friendly and excellent. I ordered my standard salad, vermicelli and eggroll. But this time I ordered the chicken also. I think my friend ordered the same thing. But she also ordered a plate of short ribs. Portions were very large except for the 4 very thin and small slices of short ribs. Biggest salad I ever got in a Vietnamese place. Big and tasty eggroll. I would have preferred grilled chicken breast, but all they would provide was thigh. So personally, I did not enjoy the chicken that much although It tasted fine. Also I would have liked more of the tasty salad veggies you usually get. Maybe it is different in Canada than the states? I would've given them 4 1/2 star since generally things were very good. Very impressive veggie pho options, with a killer spicy peanut sate broth. I stopped in for dinner one evening having seen that they have a vegetarian section of the menu, which include a veggie pho, a veggie curry noodle soup, and more. I went with the veggie pho ($14.25 plus tax), and added on the spicy peanut sate broth option (+$1.65 plus tax). The soup came out in under 10 minutes in a very large bowl of delectable sate peanut broth. The closest comparison in the city I can think of is the sate peanut veggie pho at Pho Goodness, if you're familiar with that: similar to there, you get lots of veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, onion), deep fried tofu, and a nice portion of well-cooked rice noodles, with the usual garnishes. Super tasty, rich broth with a good kick. Another great pho spot that has a great veggie option. read more

Amazing pho! Definitely an authentic experience. I got the pho with rare beef and brisket. The meat was pretty standard, but not chewy at all! Hurray! It had a nice texture and taste. They gave me ample fresh basil and bean sprouts to accompany the pho, which was a delight. The broth was savoury--everything you'd expect--but not too salty! Loved it. The bowl was pretty balanced overall (they didn't overload it with noodles or anything which is great). Serving size was very generous and filling. Service was quick and personable! The only thing was, the music was pretty loud and it was mostly obnoxious pop music, but it was bearable. They played 1 or 2 songs I actually liked.
