This was takeout. Service was quick, attentive and friendly. They offered tea or water when we waited for our food. Food was delicious, it's just as tasty as the real chicken. Clean cozy restaurant.

Food here is South east asian influenced, I was excited to see Laksa on the menu! - Spring rolls 3/5 The outside didn't taste properly cooked, it was all boils and really chewy instead of a crispy flakey easy to bite into roll. - Eggplant clay pot 4/5 This was a favorite for the table, but the sauce does get overpowering half way in. It is quite tasty though, eggplant is cooked well and the faux meat tastes more like bean curd. - Laksa 3.5/5 Grew up non v and eating laksa, and having that experience, this doesn't quite hit the mark for laksa. Granted, a seafood based soup dish is hard to recreate in flavors. Think of this more as a mild curry. Not a huge fake shrimp person, but table did think it was impressively similar. Service: Very sweet people who work here, friendly and inviting. Ambiance: Came for valentines and strangely it wasn't busy, just a few tables were full. Clean, modern. Strangely there was dub step type music playing which was a weird mix with the environment and food. Hope they are popular at other times, definitely awesome to see more creative v places.

I was pleased with my visit to The Hestia. All the dishes had great flavors and decent portion sizes. I honestly couldn't tell the difference with the vegan meat, and it was super tender and yummy. The crispy summer roll and papaya salad were my favorite dishes, they both had great levels of crunch and paired perfect with the sauces . Loved the super fun presentation of the storm noodles. The dan dan noodles tasted amazing except I noticed there was a small piece of plastic in there after biting in (it felt like a bone but I remembered it was vegan meat so upon inspection that's when I noticed). I also appreciate how our server was very attentive and patient, even though she was busy attending all the other tables at the same time.

Super delicious food! Would definitely come here again and try all the dishes! We recommend: Lemon-grass tofu, Miso Udon Truffle Carbonara, Eggplant Claypot. Waitress was very nice and open!

I have been searching for food that speaks the language of my gut...and that's as meaty as I'll get haha the warmth and happy welcome to this earthy restaurant is a delight. My heart is happy to see such flavours of dishes I used to eat along the drive. My health has transpired to be more of a lifestyle no diets on this menu full flavour tasty options my eyes are in heaven to see such delicious dishes Thank you, to The Hestia Veggie!! I'll be back for brunch, lunch, dinner!!

I'm glad I got the chance to try this place! We made a reservation (at least, I think we made a reservation since I never received a confirmation), but it wasn't necessary as the restaurant didn't get too busy. Decor was minimal but comfortable and the soft music playing in the background was relaxing. The two servers got mixed up and brought one of us the wrong entrees, but they were nice and chill about replacing it. I ordered a lychee iced tea, eggplant claypot, and cheesecake. The lychee iced tea wasn't a super sweet drink, it was a smooth black tea with subtle lychee flavour and pieces of lychee fruit. Nice and refreshing. The eggplant claypot was really god - the "vegan meat" (probably made from soy protein) was crisp and tender, and soaked up the delicious sauce so that every bite was a mouthful of flavour. The menu description definitely doesn't do this justice. The friend I was with ordered the caramelized tofu claypot. I had a taste of the tofu and it was also delicious, and my friend sad he really enjoyed it. Both claypot dishes came out sizzling. Mine came out a few minutes before my friend's, possibly because that was the one they had to redo, but it was still hot by the time his came out. Finally, the cheesecake was a nice way to finish. It was very dense and the bittersweet coffee flavour was perfectly balanced. The portions are pretty filling so that value is good, especially for a meal downtown. I would love to come back to explore more of the menu since I'm always happy to support good vegetarian businesses and their dishes all sound interesting!

The BEST vegetarian food I've had in a long time. The mock peking duck is CRAZY. If you're even slightly curious you should get it. Overall, every dish I was able to try left me with a smile!!

They also have a bar area. Kind of an Asian French fusion menu. Food dishes were good and creative, but it didn't really appeal to me. I appreciated the good service and chill atmosphere, but not sure if I would come back. I would say that their house made spicy was really good. A mix of sweet, sour, and spicy. Had a brightness to it yet also very, very spicy. Tastes great on many of the dishes, especially if you wanted a nice "kick" to the food. I believe you can order a jar to take home if you wish.

The space is much nicer, with high ceilings and lots of light - great looking bistro. I ended up trying the following: - Mussels: Very good. Classic dish, but I really like the use of cream in the broth. - Bánh Mì Cay Hải Phòng (Spicy Baguette Sticks): Good. A nice little snack, although it would be easy to recreate at home. - Lamb Chops: Very good. Cooked just right, and the pepper sauce added extra flavour. - Fried Frog Legs: Very good. This was probably the surprise dish for me. They weren't just the legs, but the entire bottom of the frog, so the pieces were huge. The garlic, butter and chili flakes gave it a extra punch. I really enjoyed this one. - Pho Bo: Good. Not the best pho I've had, but it's good enough to stand on it's own. Service was quite good. Very cheerful and quite attentive. Overall a nice meal. It's a great space, the food is solid, and service to match. What I really like is having the variety of both French and Vietnamese dishes, without either of them suffering in quality. Only downside is that is it expensive for what you get.

Cali girl here *wave* I tried a bunch of different places but couldn't really say any was a favorite. I finally asked my nail tech what her favorite place was and she recommended Pho 37 and she was not wrong. Then I remembered that my nail tech will never leave me astray. I only had to try their pho once to know, THIS IS IT. Then I had to get their Bun Bo Hue, just tomake sure. The triple crown will be their Banh Mi, which I'm excited to try next but so far 5 stars all the way. Best Pho broth and the best Bun Bo Hue that I've found so far in the downtown Vancouver area. I'm sure as you fan outside of the city limits that there are just as good options but I've finally found my go to spot close to work and home after 3 months of living here. A plus plus is the huge portions but I also have to commend the meat to noodle ratio is just perfect. This is a cute little spot on Robson. Don't sleep on this one, ladies and gents. Dine in or dining out, don't forget to ask for the chilli garlic oil and garlic vinegar on the side. These condiments will level up any dish!

The only small issue was that it took a little while before someone came to take my order, and I eventually had to wave someone over. It wasn't a big deal, though, especially considering how busy they were. The portions here are huge, especially for the price. The broth was a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but it was very clean, clear, and flavorful. This is what I look for in a good bowl of pho. The noodles were cooked perfectly and had a nice soft texture. I ordered a combination bowl. My only suggestion would be a bit more of tripe and tendon. The tripe was a little sparse, and I honestly didn't realize I had tendon until I was almost finished with the bowl. But I like those, and not a lot of people do. Despite the restaurant being packed, the staff was stayed attentive, kept food coming out quickly, and did a great job taking care of everyone. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming. There was a nice mix of people. Some quietly watching videos on their phones, others catching up over conversation. It felt like the kind of neighborhood spot that attracts everyone. Overall, this is a convenient, affordable place with good pho and generous portions. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely come back. .

Went in for lunch with my granddaughter, both of us fans of Vietnamese food. Ordered Green Papaya Salad ($12), Lemongrass Chicken on Vermicelli with one spring roll ($17), one lime soda ($6.50) and one pop ($3). Food arrived within minutes of ordering. Portions were very generous. The salad was perfect with everything very fresh, as it should be but often isn't in some places. Plump prawns and the scent and taste of basil was prominent. Delicious! The lemongrass chicken (we ordered extra chicken) with a spring roll was also very generous. We did not finish it between the two of us. Again, all was fresh, tasty and hot. This is one of our standard orders and Pho Goodness did not disappoint. Granddaughter declared it better than at our regular favourite, and Pho Goodness is around the corner from her home and not a bus ride out to Kingsway! Service was friendly and responsive. We asked that the volume be turned off on the massive TV over our heads (which nobody was watching) (it was), requested a glass for the pop and immediately received a tumbler full of ice. Lovely. We have found a new favourite on Davie Street, a true foodie heaven with a collection of independent restaurants of many ethnicities available. My wife and I stopped in for dinner one evening and each ordered the aforementioned noodle soup--she got a small ($11.75 plus tax) and I got a regular ($12.75 plus tax). We also got an order of salad rolls ($7.50 plus tax), which comes with 2 rolls. The rolls came quite late. They were pretty standard, coming with fried tofu, vermicelli, and lettuce. The peanut dipping sauce was on the liquidy, salty soy sauce side of things -- I wish it were creamier and less salty. 3/5 The soups were decent. The broth was peppery, with some nice, gentle spices detectable in there. I asked for a side of chili oil, which helped amplify the broth. You get a generous portion of noodles, fried tofu, and vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, carrot). Unfortunately the veggies were quite overcooked -- the broccoli was almost soggy, so were the carrots and bok choy. 3/5 All in all, middle-of-the-road veggie pho. The broth is pleasant.
