    Carrot cake

Sooooooo many menu items! I'm not used to having this much to choose from! We got the Mac & Cheez Burger and the MeeT Burger with poutine fries. They were so good! We split a slice of carrot cake, which was a smart choice because I could have eaten the whole thing by myself. We ended up ordering another slice and the Rocky road ganache tart to go. Everything was really delicious. Our server was very friendly. We got there just as they opened so we expected a little bit of wait for food; it wasn't terrible. The restaurant started filling up, and our server was handling it all by herself. There was another woman working there, but she sat at a table near the bar most of the time and only ran food out a couple of times, so I'm not sure what the deal was there. The service was a bit slow but, again, nothing terrible. The restaurant was a good size, not too small, and the atmosphere was trendy. Their larger tables used Singer sewing machine legs/feet for the table legs. I thought that was very clever. Overall, we had a great experience. I can't wait to come back and try something new when we're in town again!

Visiting in town and stopped in for happy hour and appetizers. We got the poutine and Korean fried chicken. Both 10/10 the sauce on the chicken was fireee.

Dietary restricted brunchers REJOICE!!! Also fun/hot tip...when all the other brunch spots have multi hour waits, go to a vegan/gluten free spot because all the stubborn meat eating dads of the world would never so there was no wait AND we as vegetarians didn't have to scour the menu for a single option because we could eat ALL OF IT! Their fun drinks were an unexpected highlight for me too. The homemade Yerba mate was perfect, not too sweet and the cinnamon flavors made it warm in a way. I want to try all of their homemade sodas too. AND, not too expensive. The gastown location is such a vibe. It felt like we were eating in a greenhouse! Staff was nice and super personable. Would definitely go back

Delicious burger we shared! Beyond burger with Mac n cheese, onion rings and jalapeños

This was our first stop for a meal in Vancouver in GasTown and it did not disappoint. I had a list of places to try that could accommodate gluten free and it was top on my list because I could actually try poutine!! Everything we tried was delicious, the staff were very warm and Knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable eating there. It is a vegan restaurant so no meat used in any of their dishes, but it's so good, it doesn't matter. I highly recommend for anyone looking to eat safely while travelling.

I'm always impressed by vegan cuisine that doesn't make you miss meat and dairy. MeeT does an excellent job of creating flavorful dishes that are satisfying and delicious. I ordered the Steak Tostadas, which are described as "Three tostadas loaded with marinated steak curls, jalapeños, onion, and cilantro, all finished with our house-made sour cream and fresh lime." I'd never had soy curls before and I was blown away at how the texture and flavor was of flank steak. One friend loved her Cheesy pesto spinach dip, but I found it to be a bit bland. My other friend loved his vegan chicken and waffles. Great service, ambiance, and location. Would come back here again.

I was traveling through Vancouver with a vegan and this was a top rated option on Happy Cow. I'm really glad she found it! Street parking is available and we found a spot super quick. We were a party of five and were sat instantly. There's an outside patio, but it was very cold so they didn't use it. We ordered a bunch of meals to share so we could all taste a bit of everything. My favorite was the gnocchi. The "ricotta cheese" on top was the best fake ricotta I've every had. My least favorite was the poutine. Could it be because I'm not Canadian and my palate is not fancy enough for poutine? Maybe. But to me it just felt like eating mush and was no different that just drowning your fries in ketchup. If I'm ever back in Vancouver, I will come back.

I needed food while I was in Gastown and didn't know where to get it. Looking on Yelp for vegetarian food, I found this place and boy was I happy. 100% vegetarian restaurant that I don't think I would have found without Yelp. We got various dishes and they were all a little bit too salty, but they tasted great. - OYSTER MUSHROOM KALAMARI -- very good! I wish there was a bit more mushroom and that they were in slightly bigger pieces. - CRISPY BBQ BURGER with BUTTER CHIKKIN POUTINE upgrade for $6. The burger was so much bigger than I expected with a FAT patty. The poutine was also really good! - BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER MAC N' CHEEZ so creamy and good. The cauliflower was not crispy like I expected though. - NOODLE-Y THAI - I'm surprised a non-Asian restaurant cooked up some noodles this good. Service was decent. They made some suggestions of what to get and also asked if we had any allergies after we ordered. The only downside was our water cups were empty half the time. I would definitely come back next time I'm in town.

MeeT!! What a CUTE location! This was our first MeeT experience. And it could have been a meet cute :p sorry for my humor. I know it's bad. I loved the courtyard atmosphere. And our server Shea (I'm so sorry if I spelled that wrong!) Was phenomenal. So attentive and very kind and conversational as well. She gave us some recommendations and we both got the Pineapple Basil Smash to drink (it's SO good!!!) Which is loaded with great flavor and so complimentary to each other. I had The Big Yum: Roasted yams, organic kale, shredded red cabbage, beets, corn, tempeh, Edamame, and Hemp Hearts served on organic brown rice drizzled with super umami tahini sauce. It was EXACTLY what I needed for a feel good meal! I'm not a fan of tempeh so I gave that to my husband but MAN was this bowl delicious. Full of ALL the good things, texture and flavor! I felt amazing after having it and boosted in energy and a full belly! Hubby got The Full English, as he's a Brit and well, he is about as close to the UK in Canada as he can get being so close to Portland Oregon, which is home. It has tofu scramble, home fries, baked beans, a roasted tomato, bacon, sausage, toast and mushrooms. I tried everything and it was all just okay to me but he said it was very good. As you might imagine we have quite different taste in food! Since it was day 1 of vacation, I got a gin Seltzer with elderflower. It was a bit too sweet for me, but that's okay because I shared. And then we got the cookies and cream mousse to share. YUM. Absolutely delicious. Creamy, rich without being overwhelmingly chocolate and the perfect end to our late breakfast/late lunch. In all, a great experience for a "chain" restaurant since we don't have many, especially plant based only, in Oregon. Would definitely go to another MeeT. Or return to this cute spot!!

I'm not vegan, but I'm always open to trying vegan options in the city! A friend and I went for lunch. I had the chickun burger. I was a little disappinted in the chickun, which was oyster mushrooms. It was in tiny pieces that were falling out and a lot of the pieces were just purely fried batter. I think it would've been better if the pieces were chunkier. The fries were also okay, they didn't have any salt on them. I did enjoy their poutine however. I have gotten one of their rice bowls to go and quite liked that. I would visit again because I love the location, grungey feel. Service is always kind as well.

Top- bbq burger and salad. Bottom- Thai noodles.
    Laurie L.

Great location. Decor is fun and interesting. Food is heavy, comfort, diner type food. Alcoholic beverages are tiny and expensive and don't seem to have much alcohol. The poutine was delicious yet very salty. The Thai noodles were just ok. The bbq burger was tasty and rich. We ordered dessert to go and when we got home we realized that we had gotten the wrong thing which was so disappointing s as we were really looking forward to trying the cookie with mousse. Staff was friendly and helpful although it took a long time to get them to bring us the Bill so we could leave. And they have us the wrong dessert. I'd come back for the poutine and maybe to try that dessert I missed out on. This is not a place to come for a healthy meal although they do offer salads and some healthier looking bowls so maybe it could be done. I bet non vegans would enjoy this joint as well.

    Kalamari, Butter Chikkn Poutine

Vegan comfort food! It was my last night in BC and I knew I was going to make this one of my great meals! I kind of went overboard and over ordered for one. Ordered the Kalamari oyster mushrooms and the Butter Chikkn Poutine. Man, it was a heavy meal but still really good ! I liked the Kalamari but my stomach can't handle too much deep fried food. I would recommend to try this! Def comfort food! You cannot come to Canada and not try poutine. So glad there was a vegan version to try! I loved their take on it. It was a lot of food and was def comfort food! I'd recommend sharing with someone if you can, lol! Thank you for the experience as my last night in BC!

MeeT is my favorite restaurant in Vancouver! They have a huge menu with a variety of different types of entrées, so there's something for everyone. I have brought meat eaters here and they have enjoyed it. Start them off on the amazing poutine as a gateway to plant-based food haha. This time I ordered the classic burger as I am trying to make my way around the menu. It was great. I love their fries and the chipotle mayo tops them off perfectly. The location has somewhat of a dive bar feel but the food is definitely way beyond that. It's a little hidden off the main street, but not hard to find with the signs. Try this place today!!

Oh my goodness...it far exceeded my expectations!…read moreHats off to the kitchen staff for coming up with such a creative and whimsical afternoon tea. First thing that caught my eye was the cover of the afternoon tea menu. It was red with a picture of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin printed upon it in a shiny gold colour. When flipped over, it had the menu for the afternoon tea printed upon it. I was super impressed that they even had a separate menu printed for Vegetarians. (I opted for a Vegetarian menu). There was a cute little ceramic jar that was shaped like a Honey pot, and it had sugar cubes in it! Then there was this booklet that was pages long, and divided into Chapters. It was basically the menu again, but in the form of a small book. Each Chapter of the book described different foods from the afternoon tea. The last chapter listed all the different tea flavors one could choose. When we sat down and read this menu, I heard more than one person at the table say that they wanted to take this menu home. Guess what? For the price of $25, one could take this menu home as a memento of this extraordinary afternoon tea? Maybe I'm a bit of a sucker, but how often does one get to go to an afternoon tea as special as this? And I've always been a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh. So I coughed up the $25 and brought one of these menus home with us! Food was sooo good. I loved how warm the scone was when I cut it open. This was one of my favourite items. The sandwiches were amongst my favourites as well. As phenomenal as the experience was, I do think there are a few things which could have improved the experience. For one, a bit more service would have been appreciated. I had to wave my hand in the air to get our server's attention so that I could ask her to refill our tea pots with more hot water. Would have been nice if she'd just come around a bit more often and offered to top it up for us. Tea cozies on our tea pots might have been another improvement. A lot of my tea cooled down by the time I got to it. I like my tea hot but I didn't get in very many cups of hot tea as there was a lot of food to eat and by the time I was ready to pour myself some tea to wash down my food, the tea was...not so hot anymore. Oh, and while most of the food was appropriately sized, there was this one chocolate cookie sandwich that was really gigantic and suggested to be eaten last. We were so full already from all the other foods in the afternoon tea, and then to squeeze that giant cookie sandwich in...right at the end? A smaller and daintier cookie sandwich would have been preferred. It was overall a truly phenomenal experience. Yes, I do think it could have been slightly better, but I do emphasize the word "slightly". The points lost were so minor...I would still highly recommend this afternoon tea to anyone. It was well worth the money. It's offered every weekend for now but not sure how long they'll keep this around so if you're interested in a Winnie the Pooh themed afternoon tea, I'd make a reservation for it ASAP!

The setting is cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Staff was lovely and we were not rushed. Unfortunately they require full payment at the time of booking including a tip % automatically applied. I find this quite distasteful. It is one thing to pay a deposit to secure our spot ....but asking for the tip for a service yet to be provided is terrible. My friend really wanted to go and therefore I agreed to it this one time but I would never do it again.

My second drink was spreadsheet (beefeater, st. germain, lime, strawberry syrup, green strawberry bitters). I enjoyed this drink better as it wasn't too sweet and the flavor profile was more to my taste when it comes to cocktails.
