    Patio for lunch
    Sam C.

Stayed at the Westin for work a few weeks back and I'm still thinking about my "Girl Lunch". Green Goddess Salad with grilled chicken and a side of truffle fries. Oh, and a glass of champagne of course! Loved the park and water views and enjoying the cooler air. There's a fire pit and outdoor heaters when it gets cold.

I wanted to celebrate my parents 30th wedding anniversary at the Dome's Winterlust dinning experience inside H Tasting Lounge. I tried to book something in November but they were already fully booked till Jan. They did have a waitlist option so I had put my name down and luckily got a spot two days before their anniversary. I wanted to get a cake and stuff and the staff were so amazing to work with. They were very fast to respond to emails as well as phone call. The dome experience was incredible! They have speakers inside the dome where you can play your own playlist through spotify. They also had fake snow to better the ambiance! Such an amazing experiece, my parents thoroughly enjoyed it. Their food options were also pretty good. I would say overall it was not too pricey considering the ambiance and service. The minimum spend for us was $150 which is very easy to do for a party of 5. I would highly recommend checking it out!

Myself and a group of 5 friends decided to book the Winterlust Dome Dining for a fun post-Christmas night out. We had seen a number of videos on social media with people enjoying the unique beverages, incredible looking food, and fun aesthetic. Once we arrived, the host was friendly and receptive and took down our license plates (if you are driving make sure to skip paying for parking and just register your plate with the host). We were sat in a gorgeous dome that definitely emitted Christmas and winter goodness. Our server was kind, knowledgeable and helfpul with all our questions. One thing to note, don't expect the drinks you see on social media necessarily. We were there on December 28th and that happened to be the day they changed over their bar and had taken away the holiday drinks and replaced them with "drinks from around the world". The drinks still were good, but definitely not as showy or "instagramable" as the holiday ones. I ordered the Laka A Lono, a cocktail topped with dole whip. It was refreshing and not as sweet as I expected which was a pleasant surprise. For starters, we ordered the roasted parsnip hummus and the san marzano tomato meatballs. Both were delicious and loved by all at the table. There were only 3 meatballs in the appetizer, but by cutting them in half there were enough for all 6 of us. For the main, I ordered the steak frites, medium rare. Although I felt the steak was a little more on the medium side, it was still delicious and flavourful. The fries were some of the best fries I have ever had and whatever seasoning they used was incredible. We were too full to order dessert, but that just means we'll be back again for another round!

The service and location is great! We came for the meat platter special on Wednesdays and it did not disappoint. The special butter for the corn bread was delicious! The brisket was juicy and tender. The ribs and macaroni was mouth watering. Will definitely be back for more bbq around the outdoor patio.

What a wonderful and special experience! I'm reviewing for their Winnie the Pooh High Tea. Reservations highly recommended. At the time, I was 16 weeks pregnant and the manager and staff were all so accommodating, this made the entire tea experience so special! My husband and I were also celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. The attention to detail (the menus, the decor, live harp music, food, and ambiance were so nice). This was such a cute high tea theme and we loved it!

This restaurant is one of the few in Vancouver that has a very fun with lots of science aspects or popular themes. They use things such as dry ice, smoke all the way to themes like Winnie the Pooh or other lovable characters. The high-tea is a beautiful idea with the cute themes and on the weekend there is a harpist but unfortunately the restaurant is in the middle of a very popular hotel lobby. This is where I would opt to go into their winterlust domes as it is the highlight of the season. They are warm and private domes where you can even choose your own music via your private speaker accessible through bluetooth. It has the holiday cozy theme with even fake snow sprinkling sporadically outside! The servers are friendly, informative and have great suggestions for menu items. I'm a fan of seafood so I go for the fresh oysters and the seafood pasta which is packed with prawns and a bunch of other shellfish! The quality of ingredients is high and the chef really cares about the food that they put out in a unique and beautifully presented manner. Care, quality and creativity are the H Tasting Lounge's top qualities for sure!

    Inside a winter dome

Came to experience the winter domes (like clear igloos). They gave wonderful holiday decor and lights, blankets and a heater above. There was faux snow periodically (not often enough) made of foam soap! The food was pretty good, the drinks were better. It is a great experience all together. And if you wanted to do a fun thing with children, they were also doing Winnie the Pooh inspired tea and desserts you could book as a whole experience. The service in the domes always a little slow, but I'd go again regardless of that and show some more people the domes! There was a minimum spend and reservations needed on Tock.

We had dinner here twice during our stay. Great location with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the marina. The menu and wine list are both compact, but they have all the bases covered. We particularly enjoyed the edamame, smoked duck banh mi, seafood tower, and french fries. The service both times was excellent.

Magical. Magnificent. Marvelous. We came to experience the Winterlust and was completely blown away by the whole experience of dining in Domes. It was decorated so beautifully with Christmas ornaments complete with heaters, throws, blanket and music. It felt like we're eating outdoors but we're indoors at the same time. Service was excellent as they bring each dish into our dome. Luckily it wasn't raining but I wonder how they'd keep food from the rain as they bring the dishes from the kitchen into the domes. We started with the BURRATA, ALBACORE TUNA and moved on to CHILLED SEAFOOD TOWER for 4 - from oysters, mussels, clams and huge shrimps to dips. Everything was fresh and portion was huge. We also had the CERTIFIED ANGUS BEEF TOMAHAWK - it was delightful how they prepared this in front of us. SEAFOOD 'NDUJA BUCATINI PASTA, a simple pasta dish yet very delicious. DOUGHNUTS & COTTON CANDY and CALAMANSI TART rounded the night. The cotton candy definitely added enchantment to the perfect night.

H Tasting Lounge is the perfect spot for patio season in Vancouver. Overlooking the water with fires and outdoor heaters, it's cozy and warm. Service was great. Friendly and fast. We loved the calamari and seafood pasta. Highly recommend.

High Tea was such a beautiful experience at H Tasting Lounge! The service was great, very prompt, explained all of the yummy treats along with history of why they chose it. We did the themed high tea "Around the world in 80 days", so the menu was country themed. Delicious. This high tea is pricier than most but I felt it was worth it.

The food is really good but I'm not sure why I had to wait two hours for it. I do come in a large group of seven people though. The fish is flaky and flavorful. Every part of the dish complements the fish. My plate is completely clean when I finish. Since we waited a while, we do receive a complimentary cotton candy, which we appreciate.

Bite sized food was divine with their ham and cheese finger sandwich and deviled eggs for the win. Dessert wise the Eton mess, was excellent. Very elegant high tea served on a Ferris wheel with cotton candy on the side. Great for celebrations especially with a live harp player in the background.

We sat, my gal excited for the evening was perusing the wine list to select something special. Three times we were approached to see if we were ready to order food. We hadn't selected wine. We had been there less than 10 minutes. We were told at that point (for the second time) when we had to leave by. We selected a top bottle and when we ordered were told what time we needed to vacate the table. At that point I had enough. I wasn't prepared to spend that much on a beautiful bottle of wine (and dinner) to be harassed the entire time we enjoyed it. Very embarrassed I had to ask my guest if we could leave. Went to Cin Cin on Robson and had a proper dining experience with professional service. I will NEVER return to sequel despite living a block away with significant disposable income. Cannot recommend strong enough you avoid this place and I hope the wonderful musicians find a venue close to soon. I stand by this as I comment never, reach out directly.

For dinner we shared a diavola pizza and smoked salmon parpadelle. The pizza was good but the crust was soggy. The salmon parpadelle was good but I think it would have been better with another pasta - spaghetti, linguine or fettucine as the pasta could not be twirled with a fork and spoon and had to be cut up. The service was excellent. When our server Malaka heard that we were coming in from Abbotsford she said that she would give us the "best seat in the restaurant". When we opted to sit on the patio she gave us a complimentary tiramisu as a thank you. It was such a kind gesture. It was a nice relaxing evening and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
