Our hotel room wasn't ready, so we went to get something to eat. As others reviewers have pointed out, the hotel and the restaurants are somewhat pricey, but the view of the harbor was top notch along with the service and the food. We shared the fish and chips along with the baked local brie. I loved this place so much, that a few days later, I came back and ordered the exact same thing.

Very friendly and welcoming to road weary travelers. Food was fine, drink was lovely, live guitar was pleasant, hockey game on the screen explains the traffic! Thanks for soothing finish to the day!

I'm up late still thinking about my time here. My husband and I are here visiting from Hawaii and we wanted a luxurious experience for my birthday, so we decided to come here. The hotel is pricey, so I expected the restaurant and bar here to be a great experience when having a long overdue visit with a friend I haven't seen in years. I ordered a dessert and two glasses of wine which were alright. She ordered chicken strips with fries and a few Shirley temples and it all looked great. The major issue was feeling sick during our experience, as we started to see multiple mice running around our table. I didn't want to make a big deal about it, but after counting three different ones at the same time decided to let our waitress know. I was really shocked by her answer, mostly when she told me she was aware of the issue and that it was because they leave the doors open with construction near by. After seeing five total at the same time, I was getting distracted from my conversation with my friend, and tried to put my feet up while finishing our drink because I knew our visit was limited, but I didn't want mice crawling on me. We continued for another twenty minutes or so, and they just kept coming around, so I low key gasped and told the waitress there were five now at the same time. She seemed annoyed with me and suggested we can move to a different location across the other side of the restaurant, and so we did quickly. She never really came back around us to assist or follow up. When sitting in the new spot on the other side of the large restaurant, I saw another one even closer by our table, bringing the total to six different mice spotted at the same time. We finished quickly because we didn't want them crawling on us and it was ruining our time. I couldn't help but think that if it was this bad in the seating area with multiple tables of people being served with out a care from staff how it might be in the kitchen where our food was being prepared. It ruined the ambiance pretty quickly for me, despite the beautiful view and good company. After telling the waitress I have now seen another mouse in the new spot too, she offered to give us our last round on the house. It was an alright gesture, however, with this type of experience I really think she should have done more or at least shared more care. I'm staying in the hotel for four nights, and now I can't sleep because I keep worrying about if they are in the hotel rooms too. The location is great here, but I don't feel like they care enough at all about this serious issue. They should have at least pretended to I think. Not the best birthday spot right now.

Manhattan and Old Fashion for hubby. Cheers!

Amazing view, great drinks, awesome service! We stayed here at the Pan Pacific Hotel and came here at the bar every night!

My colleague and I flew to Vancouver for a convention, but we ended up staying at different hotels. I stayed at the Fairmont, while he stayed at the Pan Pacific. I totally swore by the superior service and classiness of the Fairmont, but when we visited the Coal Harbour Bar, I realized that the Pan Pacific is just as swanky and fun. There was lively music playing. The glass walls on a bright and sunny day felt so uplighting. The cocktails were incredibly strong. There was a light buzz of conversation but it wasn't too crowded. And best of all, the service was very welcoming. That alone encouraged us to have perhaps one more drink than we should have. I would have loved to try some of the food here, but the happy hour was such a good experience. Even if I wasn't staying at the Pan Pacific on my next trip to the Vancouver Convention Centre, I'd definitely make it a point to come to Coal Harbour Bar and spend even more time relaxing here.

Utopia Elixir and Pisco Sour. Great place for live and chill music, bar snacks and a drink before dinner and dancing follow.

I was staying at the Pan Pacific on business, and ate here for two nights of my trip since it was easy and convenient.

We got a table inside, and the music was extremely loud (think club vibes). The music was amazing, but for the wrong setting. Our group ended up texting one another as we couldn't hear ourselves. As for food I got some pasta and truffle fries. The pasta was incredibly bland, but the fries were delicious! Our server was also lovely - friendly and attentive.

Their food was really good, truffle fries are quite rich and flavourful, same with the beef carpaccio. I don't think the menu mentions it comes with these sliced toasted baguettes which were topped with olive oil and balsamic glaze. Service was slightly disappointing as our service was quite flat. Two instances, both not the fault of our server, but the bar had a friend a drink in a dirty glass, she ordered a clear drink but it was brown tinged, and had a weird flavour. Multiple people at the table tried it before we told the server that it seemed off. It was slightly off putting, but our server went back and got a new one for my friend. Second thing, they said they updated their POS so for some reason the person who had the most alcoholic drinks had been put in with a really high autogratuity, but it was strange because everyone else at the party had the regular autograt of 20% I believe and the only person who was drunk ended up getting 30% or something of the sort. Our server again, amazing and took care of it working with the manager who fixed it and came to apologize but the optics of that only happening to the one drunk person if the party, well you know. Kinda left an unsatisfactory taste in everyone's mouths regarding the service. Food was still great and so was our server, and the manager who came to personally apologize about the issue.

Everything on the HH menu is $5 3-6pm and all day Wednesday. We also got the meatball appetizer and the Baccala on toast. Bartender was friendly enough, gave some recommendations where to go for dinner. But then a very large party was being seated at the adjacent restaurant that the bar seems to also serve, and she got tied up pretty bad. We did see a couple come in and wait for a pretty long time and then just take off. And then the bar was closed for this private party at 7pm, and we had sort of planned on a nightcap after dinner in there. Fortunately we found PLENTY of awesome places to go after dinner so it was not an issue. While there during Happy Hour, the crowd was empty at first and the place filled up completely by the time we left. 30's and 40's crowd.

If you're looking for a comfortable, quiet, and cosy bar this is not the place for you. This is a place where Vancouverites get dressed up in their finest dark washed jeans. Am I being facetious - yes I am...but lets face it that's what passes for high fashion in this city. Celebrity sightings are not totally uncommon here, the servers are all friendly and quick to bring your drinks, and you're guaranteed plenty of beautiful people eye-candy. It's also a bar targeting a slightly more mature age group with their larger disposable income - so no annoying teeny boppers knocking back B-52's here and whoohooing it up. One shocking thing I discovered on my last visit to OPUS Bar, was that they aren't allowed to do "real" bottle service there. So if you order a bottle of Goose for the table, be prepared to have your server take it away and bring it back out only when requested or when glasses start to go empty - thankfully Champagne & Wine are exempt from this strange rule.
