A friendly Korean-run resto with an emphasis on their burgers. I love that their patties are super juicy and flavourful, and it come with a choice of salad or fries as your side. My partner LOVES the burgers here and comes by any chance he gets. Our favourite is the Bob's burger though I've also tried their peanut butter one and while it's definitely messy, it was an interesting combo for sure. Recently I tried their Wednesday special which is Mum's Spaghetti - did it it make my palms sweaty, knees weak and arms heavy? Maybe from the sheer volume of pasta (linguine) that you get! I really wanted to love it... So after some recommendations from some trusted foodies and fellow Yelpers we decided to give To Dine For a try. The space is fairly open with adequate seating. We were in the area for a photo and video shoot for several hours and noticed it was full most of the day. Obviously it must be popular. The food. They have a variety of inspired burger offerings as well as some Korean fair. I decided to try the PB and Bacon Burger and the rest of my posse tried various other burgers. Although I thought the food was good I wasn't overly impressed. The descriptions sounded decent but the actual execution was just slightly under my expectations. The burger seemed preformed and possibly frozen (not the end of the world), the bun was very soft but the peanut butter was too overwhelming (your saying "that's what you get for getting PB on a burger" I know lol). If they just used an unsweetened version and about 50% less I think it would have been excellent. In any event, the rest of my table seemed to enjoy theirs so maybe I just ventured from the norm too much? Would I go back? Ya probably if I was in the area again. Should you give it a try? It was tasty. I eat peanut butter pretty much everyday with my steel cut oats. Occasionally, I'll have a satay skewer with peanut sauce. Occasionally, I'll have tan-tan noodles done with peanut sauce. Here, I finally tried a peanut butter bacon burger. It was pretty delicious. Home made patty, with crispy bacon bits, peanut putter lettuce tomatoes, red onions and a side of fries. I would eat this again no hesitation even though it was kinda messy. Friendly owner, with a cafeteria setup. I came on a Saturday looking for a late afternoon lunch. The place was empty except for a table of 4 Korean ladies. To Dine for is located close to Terminal and Main and it is a popular spot for people who working in the area to grab lunch. I believe this restaurant is a Korean Fusion. We came here for department lunch and if you do have a large group I do recommend reserving and ordering in advance as well. This place gets really busy at lunch with all the business and schools around the area. The servers were pretty nice they had our reserved table ready and the food came out really quickly since we pre-ordered. I ordered the Original Korean Rice Bowl for $13.95 and it contained rice, spinach carrots, pickled radish, cucumber, seaweed, marinated beef and a perfectly fried egg. I am surprised how much I like it. It was really delicious will all the different flavors and textures. I do wish there was more beef but overall it was so tasty. This also really filling and it is a healthy option. They are also known for the PB burger and the Korean kimchi burger. I do look forward in trying those items. read more

I have to say this place does have really good burgers. Its a hidden gem. I ordered the PB Bacon Burger. The burger was really juicy. I did find the burger a bit small or maybe I am too hungry. It came with organic salad or fries. I chose the salad and the salad portion was quite big. The only issue with this place is that it closes at 6pm. As well it is located beside a gym. So while, I was eating I as constantly hearing thumping noises. Things started to shake a bit too but I don't mind. I find it quite memorable though. The place is not busy during dinner time. My cousin had been talking about the PB and Bacon burger at this place for years, so I finally went there and picked up some food for lunch the other day. Let me just start by saying, this restaurant is a mess. Not to say it is untidy, but it is lacking a system. You can order at the till, or you can sit down and get table service, but no matter what you do, it is not a beautifully choreographed performance. The whole operation relies on the servers being on-top of everything. I have not experienced it personally, but I am sure a few mistakes get made when things get busy. Lunchtime gets busy and because they don't have a system in place, they have hired quite a few servers to make up for it. That's one solution, but if they hired someone (with prior experience managing a restaurant) to design a better system of operations they could be turning more profit. They could be serving more people, with less servers, with less mistakes. With all that said, sometimes the charm of family run businesses such as this, is the human element, the lack of a system. I didn't leave this establishment feeling great about the service, but when I opened up the food I took home with me, my frustrations vanished. They've got tasty burgers and sandwiches. To Dine For Eatery is a nice small family run burger joint located at 333 Terminal Avenue in Vancouver. You can pay to park alongside the road in front of the restaurant. The interior is that of an old school 50's diner with some small modern touches. The owners are so nice and helpful. They have great pastries and coffee drinks, their burgers are absolutely amazing! On this visit I ordered the Classic Cheese Burger with a poutine, the burger had a 6 oz homemade patty with cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles and their special house sauce. Everything about the burger was spot on. Perfectly cooked patty and the toppings were fresh. The poutine wasn't your typical cheese curd poutine but I still loved it, the gravy was flavourful and the fries were crispy, I would definitely get it again. All in all it was a great lunch and if I ever find myself in the area I will surely stop in and try another spectacular burger! I highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

Oh my, I was so pleasantly surprised to enjoy the best burger ever at this diner! I ordered the mushroom cheese burger which came with lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickle, and a nice sauce. The patty with all the fixings were delicious. The bun was perfect, not dense or bready. The only problem was fitting it into your mouth and not being able to put it down once you've started. The Flaming Burger is not for the faint of heart. It is true to it's description and was flamin' hot! My partner thoroughly enjoyed it. I had one bite and that was all the spice I could take. We upgraded to the side of poutine which was a great decision. Crispy, not greasy, fries topped with shredded cheese and gravy. The side of salad was your typical mixed greens with a honey mustard dressing. We got there just in time for last call from the kitchen which is 6:45pm; they close at 7pm. Server was super nice and smiley. They take credit card. We got a parking spot right on Terminal. I don't think I could go anywhere else to have a burger after this experience. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I've driven by the enormous "best burger in town" sign so many times and finally took the opportunity to try it out. There's free parking out front but I had to circle a few times before I managed to find a spot, otherwise there is a paid lot to the side. Turns out the sign was not kidding. Burgers are fantastic. Thick, juicy, and with quality fixings and bun. I had the mushroom burger which ended up being a little messy as there was more liquid that came out, but that's expected from mushrooms. Be sure to ask for extra napkins! The fries were fresh, could have done with a little more salt. Overall I think for the quality of burger the price is decent. You would pay the same rate at other restaurants for a lesser burger. Service was good. Servers were very friendly. I wish they had better hours so I would have more opportunities to go again! I was tempted by the PB & Bacon Burger, but i wanted to see if the plain burger lived up to the claim. I decided on "Bob's Burger". A 6oz homemade patty with cheese, bacon and mushrooms. Along with an ample serving of tomato and iceberg lettuce, topped off with a house sauce that had a little zing - all between a perfectly toasted bun. It was quite a handful. Boy, was this tasty! the hamburger was so juicy and the mushrooms and bacon didn't disappear. I had the fries...the fries...you know, nothing beats house-cut fries. you can taste the difference. perfectly crisp even until the end of the meal - now that's a good fry! There are other reviews that say that the offerings here are too pricey. Let's just say that I'd rather pay $13.95 for the burger that I had here than pay $8-$9 for a burger meal at the golden arches. They provide good honest food here. The service is impeccable. I will be back to try the other offerings on the menu - the guests at the other table were enjoying Eggs Benedict - perfectly poached eggs! Love these guys! A little cafe style location in the Uniserve building on Terminal Avenue. And only open on weekdays until 5 so make plans. Really friendly staff as well. Made fresh, hand pressed burgers. Their signature burger is the PB&B, aka Peanut Butter and Bacon. And it's not just crappie shelf bought commercial grade peanut butter or bacon. The bacon is chunks of nice double smoked maple bacon. The Peanut Butter is nice and creamy and chunky - and seems all natural (but, admittedly I didn't check) Their fries are crispy outside and soft inside and seem to contain a hint of peanut oil. We also had the soup of the day, which was minestrone. It was nice and chunky and lightly spicy with celery and corn and chunks of ground meat. Admittedly, it wasn't just me... My boyfriend and I went here today (my first time) however we arrived just as they were closing. We thought they closed at 7 based on what it said online, and we arrived a couple minutes after 5 just as employee was locking up the front door. He confirmed they did close at 5, but I guess he saw how disappointed we were and offered to accommodate us - even said we could dine in for 30 minutes if we wanted. We decided to order to-go, just to be courteous to the employees so that they may leave on time. Service was great despite the fact that they were closing up, and the food didn't take too long to prepare. Though it was a little pricier than the average burger combo (every burger comes with fries or a salad - no drink), the portions were more than enough for the both of us. I ordered the Hot TDF Burger (really good, just a tad too spicy for my palette) and my boyfriend had ordered the Bob's Burger which was super yummy as well. We were stuck in traffic for a bit before arriving home to eat but the food kept it's temperature for the most part, and the fries still tasted amazing (did not get soggy compared to fries I've had from other restaurants). Unfortunately with the exit of their opening/head chef awhile back, To Dine For has had to re-do much of their menu. With Justin's departure, so did many of the dishes that made this place stand out and make it a destination for many people on their lunch break or dinner after work. Many of the unique burgers and sandwiches are gone and have been replaced with the standard burger/cheeseburger and I'm sorry to inform my non-meat eating brethren but so has the love for anything vegan (the vegan hulk was seriously one of the best burgers in the city). Where it was once a playground for us vegans for new interesting dishes (I remember talking to Justin about what he had been working on and seeing how excited he was) it's now completely barren. Of course I can't speak for the burgers but my meat eating coworkers have stopped going altogether which I'm assuming for the price point it really isn't worth the trip. If this were a month ago I would have given a solid 5 stars but now without some ingenuity in the kitchen I'm afraid this may fall into the forgettable greasy spoon category pretty quick, which sucks because the staff is amazing. read more

But their prices I think reflect the captive audience in the location as their competition is across a busy street or possibly random food carts down the block. $12 will get you a gourmet burger with interesting ingredients (but no fries/salad side) from (for example) Romer's Burger Bar, so go elsewhere if you are looking for an interesting burger. That said, if you are trapped in the neighbourhood, then you at least will get a really decent burger for your money and only overpay maybe $1-$2. I saw this place go up and I thought "how could this place be at all good with a tacky name like this?" Truth: even with a name this tacky, it can still be pretty damn good. This diner/restaurant is located in the middle of nowhere for a lot of people but that's okay by me because my office just so happens to be right next door. Finally, an actual food option (I don't consider McDonalds to be "food" and I consider Tim Hortons to be borderline). As per the menu recommendation I called 30 minutes prior to my lunch hour to place an order for take away. The order was ready exactly 30 minutes later, still fresh. I ended up ordering the "Kimchi Monster" Burger: 6 oz beef patty, mozzarella, deep-fried onions, paprika aoli and last but not least kimchi relish. They referred to the kimchi as "kimchi relish" but really, it was just stir fried kimchi. The burger itself was already pretty kick ass but the kimchi gave the burger even more of a kick! I really liked their fries too, which was partially skin-on. I can't really see myself coming out here for the sole purpose of eating here but if you happen to be in the area (central station, science world, main/terminal skytrain station), this is your best bet. read more

I saw this reviewed on the front page of Yelp on May 6th and had to try this place based on the pics alone. I was afraid that there wouldn't he any "healthy" options, however, I managed none the less with what I had. It is a guilty pleasure place, however, I did survive. I've gone by this place many times, however, from the outside it is very unassuming. Especially since there is no real foot traffic and it's in an area that you would never think would have a decent dining place. I used to always think that this was just a cheap greasy spoon for a quick bite for the workers near by. They're open late which is very appreciative for the working class. I had the Korean bowl, however, I found that some of the veggies were a bit too greasy but overall it was a satisfying bowl. The customer service was awesome and friendly. read more

Being a fan of Asian food, I went for the most Asian thing I could find, the original Korean rice bowl, which is a rice bowl topped with a variety of finely cut vegetables such as cucumbers, carrots, radishes, and sprouts along with beef and an egg. It was seasoned to be somewhat spicy, the seasoning tastes like gochujang, a Korean spicy paste. Overall, the dish had large portions and was quite filling, the seasoning was enough that when mixed in with the rice and veggies, it was a perfect blend. I work a few blocks from To Dine For Eatery, so I finally got to try it for lunch on a Friday with one of my coworkers. The restaurant itself has a decent amount of tables for two or four people for dining in, but you can also order anything on the menu for take out. To Dine For Eatery offers a great selection of sandwiches and burgers, which are priced between $8.50-15. If you want to get french fries or a salad on the side with a sandwich, it will cost an extra $3. The food is a bit pricey, but it is fantastic, and much better than anything you'd get at McDonald's or Tim Hortons. I opted to try the B.E.L.T, which was fantastic. I really enjoyed the bacon on the sandwich, it wasn't soggy like the bacon you get on sandwiches at some other places. The fries are well seasoned, and they were nice and crispy. The service itself is okay. Our server was really nice and our water glasses were always full, but he did forget to give us our bill for a few minutes. We were still out in 40 minutes, but it did slow us down a bit. Overall, if you're in the area, I recommend getting a sandwich or burger from To Dine For Eatery. read more

Easy to find at 333 Terminal Avenue, 2 blocks from Greyhound & Via station, and Main Street sky train. Huge floor to ceiling shiny clean windows made for good people watching while awaiting dinner. Hubby had the chicken mushroom poutine ($9) and I had the Vegan Chicken (multi-beans, tofu, diced veggies - true meal deal) $6. Can't beat those prices. We'd set out for a quiet hearty comfort meal, and ended up as very satisfied customers. We will return to this new restaurant to experience their varied menu. This place catches your attention with that huge "best burger in town" poster. I love when restaurants do that, it gives me a nice chuckle. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and substituted the bun for lettuce(gotta keep up wth that new year's resolution). I was impressed by the thick 6oz patty, and how the bacon was stuck in place with the melted cheese. Clever design! Was this burger truly the best in town? Hands down the best burger in Vancouver - period. I had the mushroom burger with salad. And man, did I hit burger heaven. meat is tender and "meaty". By that I mean it tastes like actual meat and not the styrofoam stuff you get from McDonald's. It's like having a filet mignon grounded up, grilled then put between two soft sweet delicious buns.
