I've been to Knight Street Cafe a few more times after my review and they are solid. Best items to get is the breakfast burrito. Half order is already huge and packed. Delicious and satisfying. The other is their Knight Street Burger. That patty was enormous with a good char and bun was soft. Even for take out it was great!

I've passed by Knight Street Cafe a million times but never stopped in for breakfast. They're a family run, all day breakfast spot around the corner from Pallet Coffee Roasters and Do Chay. We dropped in on a busy Saturday (around 11:45am). There was a continuous stream of people coming in. The inside has a mix of tables and high booth seating (26 seats total). Service was adequate. The menu consists of breakfast, omelettes, sandwiches, salad/soup and flame broiled burgers. - 3x Coffee ($3.00) - came by several times to refill our cups. However, their coffee is light. Better off getting a cup of joe at Pallet. - Knight burger ($13.95) - went with the soup of the day (chicken noodle). Good flavour and a nice mix of pasta, chicken, onion, corn and carrots. The burger (7oz) was massive. Beef had a nice char but was still tender. Only thing I'd change is to toast up the bun. - Corned beef hash ($17.95) - B opted for sunny side eggs and sourdough bread. Nice touch with a slice of watermelon. Corned beef was juicy and decent amount of vegetables. The hash browns were okay but could have been crispier. - 2x Knight St. special ($12.95) - sausage had a good bite; reminded me of a Hungarian style sausage. - Butter tarts - complimentary butter tarts. Homemade goodness. My favourite part of our visit. Decent portions at KSC. No frills, neighbourhood spot.

A little cheaper but a whole lot better than nearby White Spot. The first time we went here, I thought it was a consolation prize for not being able to get seating at White Spot. But, now, I'll go to White Spot if Knight Street Cafe is too crowded or closed. There is something special about the way they make their burgers. Patties are super juicy and thick. There's also a hint of Worcestershire sauce that gives it a tangy kick. I've tried several variants of their burgers, but my usual is the Knight Street burger. The patty is hanging off the edges, it's so big. The other reason to check this place out is the breakfast. Your usual suspects, but larger than usual servings make it a great deal. The pancakes and sausages are our favorites, although my wife loves the made-to-order omelets as well. A meal that costs $50 at White Spot will only be about $40 at White Spot. And, the owner offers us free butter tarts to take with us when we leave. Like a cherry on top. Cool.

2.2.2.2. breakfast 2 eggs, 2 maple smoked bacon, 2 sausages farmer's sausage, 2 buttermilk pancakes

I have been meaning to dine here they opened; but for one reason or another, today was my first visit. A full breakfast was in order so I opted for the 2.2.2.2. (2 eggs, 2 maple smoked bacon, 2 sausages, 2 pancakes $15.75) everything on the plate was fantastic and it was nice to see the old school, plate-sized pancakes -very fluffy! The room has a tradition diner vibe with a bank of high tops opposite the tradtional table seating. There is even window bar seating to watch the hustle and bustle of Knight Street go by. Food was fantastic and filling. The unlimited coffee was nice and rich. A Family run and local small business deserves our support. Very friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit if you have a hankering for some traditional breakfasts and brunches. Vegetarian option are available!

A friend ordered me a burger and soup. It was surprisingly a very good burger and it was huge. The patty was super think and huge. It was charred but didn't taste burnt at all. Tasty burger. The soup was delicious too. Lots of flavour but it was in tiny cup. Could have used a bit more of it. I would recommend this joint.

It seems like all the sea salt ended up in our dishes today. What happened? Why was everything so salty? Afraid for a cardiac problem from getting high blood pressure I had to stop eating. We all did. Not sure about the others who are here but it was very salty. Even the toast seemed to have salted butter . Hmmmm can that be ? Impossible i thought. I did ask for no butter in the toast but it came buttered. I got the omelette with feta cheese so I did expect it to be salty and actually it was quite good. But the taters were salty as was the ham and sausages. I wonder why? The pics on Yelp looked so delicious! Our food looked wonderful but maybe it was just an off day for us. So I'll chalk it up to us. We just had an off day for tastebuds.

What a lovely place for breakfast. I can see why it is so popular on yelp! Why I liked it: - No queues when we arrived at 9:30ish - They have a good selection of yummy sounding breakfasts - What we were served was simple, but really tasty - The freshly squeezed juices are lovely (I had grapefruit) - It didn't take long for everything to be served I didn't try the hash browns, but now I have seen the other reviews, I may have to go back to try them!

I'm giving this place a 5. I was just looking for a place to have breakfast but woweewoowah I didn't expect to find this hidden gem. The way they prepare their french toast reminds me of the way my grandma does it, dipped in egg and sprinkled with cinnamon so that beyond that layer of egg, the bread stays absolutely soft. Definitely won some nostalgia points. The bacon strips are thick, not those dainty grease covered strips you get at some other cafés. Normally I don't mix the sweetness of maple syrup with the saltiness of breakfast meats but I was really enjoying how the cinnamon and syrup complement the bacon in this particular instance. Speaking of complementary, the honeydew and sliced peppers worked surprisingly well with the hash brown. The whole dish was just so well put together. Delicious.

It's so cute and quaint, fits maybe 8-10 people, so perfect for a little lunch date or girlfriend chat fest. We ordered lattes ($5), which were delicious, not too milky, definitely good strong espresso. We shared the daily special which was cream asparagus pasta and a mortadella sandwich. Perfect amount for two people. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and tasted so fresh, it had plenty of fresh cheese on top. I found it was a little salty, and a bit dry, but it was still delicious ($21). I will try another pasta next time. The mortadella sandwich ($13) we asked for grilled and it was sooo good. The fresh made foccacia was amazing. It had plenty of mayo and arugula which paired perfectly with the creamy mortadella. They sell plenty of fresh pasta sauces like bolognese, cacio Pepe, truffle cream sauce, along with fresh pasta including gluten free fresh pasta We loved our time here and we will be back!

It's not my first choice as study/work cafe because I prefer cafes with quiet corners with outlets or relaxing soft music and I find this spot has more of a hipster ambiance and is more ideal as a chill place for hanging out.
