    Egg coffee and SG brown
    Samuel F.

Have been coming to Hem 377 often and have enjoyed the high quality drinks every time. I like how the interior, especially the coloured crates as seating, feels like you're in Asia. Felt like I was back on the streets in Vietnam. Ordered the pandan drip, SG Brown and the egg coffee; Overall enjoyed all three! Pandan drip: the pandan flavour was very apparent, and worked well with the viet coffee. It was a tad bit on the sweeter side but overall had the typical Vietnamese coffee flavour. If I'm feeling a drink with additional flavour notes other than Vietnamese coffee, I would definitely get this again or try the ube latte instead. Egg coffee: I found the drink very good! The addition of egg reminded me of a Taiwanese milk tea as it softened the intense coffee flavours but added extra creaminess to the overall flavour. I personally wouldn't get this drink again as I crave the intense flavours of Vietnamese coffee. SG brown: I believe this is their most popular drink, and for good reason, as the coffee flavours are intense with the distinct Vietnamese coffee flavour. It's my go to whenever i visit as it satisfies my Vietnamese coffee craving. Be warned, the drinks are quite caffeinated so if you have a lower threshold for caffeine, the drinks can be quite intense!

Our daughter had her booster shot recently and since it's never fun to have a needle poked into your arm I decided to buy a sweet treat for her afterwards, to help soften the blow. We went to the Vietnamese coffee shop Hem 377 as it was just a few blocks further up the street from where she'd had her shot. She chose a drink called Spicy Peach and I bought an Ube Latte for myself. Spicy Peach: Sweet, refreshing, peachy and minty. Not at all spicy. The "Spicy" part of the drink actually referred to the mintiness of it. While mint isn't actually spicy it does tend to tingle your mouth a bit, and I suppose it's because of that tingly sensation that the word "spicy" was chosen for the name of the drink. Our daughter loved it and said she would order it again if we ever ended up at that coffee shop again. Ube Latte: I honestly felt that this drink was overrated. I'd seen and read about it quite a lot through various sources of media when Hem 377 first opened up. It's not a bad drink, but I couldn't really taste anything special about it either; I certainly didn't taste any Ube in it. It just tasted like a regular iced latte to me. I think I liked my daughter's Spicy Peach drink better. I'd order the Spicy Peach for myself if I ever go to Hem 377 again. Parking: Street Parking Service: Fair Location: Small shop on Victoria Dr. amongst many other Vietnamese shops. Keep a sharp lookout for it, or else it can be easy to miss.

Right on Victoria Drive, so we parked right down the street and walked in. It wasn't busy when we came in around 11 AM on a Tuesday morning. The decor reminds me of visiting the streets in Vietnam, people talking and having coffee over stools. I imagine it would be a great place to chill with friends. We ordered a matcha strawberry cheesecake, egg coffee, hue style coffee, and a sugarcane drink. Service was quick and she was very kind and patient.. however other reviewers are right that the "no tip" option is covered. We wanted to tip anyway, but it's a bit shady that you can't even select "custom tip"! Otherwise, the drinks were really good. The egg coffee was creamy and flavorful. The matcha strawberry cheesecake was surprisingly so well done!

It was my first time here! It's quite fascinating! I love the decor at the restaurant. The owner is trying to provide an eating environment for customers to dine in Vietnamese. Customers could sit on small plastic stools with some cheap yellow baskets as dining tables. Very cool ideas and cost effective! I saw a lot of people ordered and posted their ube latte photos online, so I also ordered one. My husband ordered the egg coffee because it's a very popular coffee beverage in Vietnam. Both beverages were good! I would like to come back and try other beverages one day. Customer service was good. Dining area and washroom were clean. Pricing was reasonable or affordable. Street parking on Victoria drive or the small streets in the residential areas. At least all these parking are free. I would recommend others to try this restaurant

After seeing so many Instagram posts I was really looking forward to Hem 377. I have mixed feelings. But take this as a grain of salt, your experience is your own. The interior makes you feel a bit like you're in Asia, with the plastic stack-able short stools and the stacked milk crates as a table. What made its more authentic was all the fruit flies that seemed to be buzzing around. But that can be remedied. The drinks are strong and delicious! We ordered a Coconut Drip ($5.95) House Viet drip coffee with milk and coconut cream. As well as a Pandan Drip ($5.95) with Ube Cream ($1). If you like Vietnamese coffee then this is the place for you. We also tried the Fried Pork Roll Grilled Butter Baguette ($7.75). They called it a 'deconstructed Banh Mi in a bowl'. I'm pretty on the fence, it was surprising for sure. It was a French baguette filled with pork filling, pannini pressed then cut up into bite size pieces. Spattered with a green onion sauce and their special hot sauce. Its an interesting concept, but not for me. Hem 377 has a lot of other items to offer, sweet and savory. So if you're in the area and looking for a caffeine hit, check them out!

I've gone back a few times and while their drinks are good, they consistently forget to apply the happy hour discount which they've changed to only have Tues to Thurs from 3 to 5pm (there used to be one in the morning and another starting at 2pm). I'm also fairly certain their points system doesn't work either...

Do you get deja-brew? Went to this cafe today to check out their coffees, and it's definitely a place with a huge variety! They even some food there too if your feeling hungry!! * Old white ($5.45) ~ this is one meant for sweeet tooth's for sure! It's less coffee taste and more condensed milk, highkey reminded me of candy. 7/10. * Egg coffee ($6.45) ~ this was actually so good! You need to get it 1/2 sweet! It was yummy and creamy and smooth. 10/10. * Pandan drip ($5.95) ~ this was stunning but it wasn't prominent in pandan. It was super creamy though. 7/10. * Strawberry latte ($6.25) ~ this was good the strawberry worked surprisingly with the espresso. It wasn't too sweet but perfect. 8/10. * Overall their drinks are creamy and a bit on the sweeter side! I recommend the egg coffee for sure! Next time I need to try their fresh milk drip and durian latte.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while since they opened their doors but unfortunately I was left a bit disappointed. I came to meet with friends and the seating space is not the most inviting. It is usually just plastic chairs and the "tables" are two crates stacked on top of one another with a round woven basket on top. As we had a toddler with us, it was not the most safe and the chairs weren't too comfortable. I ended up getting the egg coffee and although it wasn't bad, it wasn't anything special either. I was a bit miffed that even though we were sitting in, they had no other option but for a to go cup which I was charged 25 cents for, and it was also missing the label sticker (it's the little things!). They also don't have a public restroom for customers to use.

Wanted to try this out because I saw so much hype on IG and tiktok but it was bit overhyped for me. I feel like the drinks are quite average for the price. The Pandan drink had an okay flavour and was not too sweet. The egg coffee was pretty lackluster for me, the coffee flavour was not too strong and it just tasted like a watered down version.

Came a few times during soft opening. Once at 7pm where they told us they were closed (tho hours said 9 to 9) so we didn't get served. Second time, I came half an hour after opening at 930am, there was no line, but they were already out of the mint mojito drink which was the reason I came in the first place. Sad. They said it wouldn't be in til next week? So I ended up trying a pina colada drink and a rose drink. Both were quite unique and different. The pineapple flavor was subtle and the rose one initially was very strong but the flavor gradually grew on me, especially as the foam incorporated more. The rose drink was refreshing and nice to taste the coffee flavor, and not too sweet. It was also nice they give the option to do the foam with either oat or regular milk. The third/forth time, I finally got to try the mint mojito drink tho their "free drink" grand opening time and offerings were not clear. The mint mojito drink didn't turn out to be free tho that was the drink photo featured on their instagram post advertising the free drink special. It was also not the same as Philz, but it and the basic latte was ok. The robusta coffee came through and definitely tasted different as a latte. The kumquat sugar cane juice was very good. A few notes: * Communication and logistics are still being worked out. * Like some other establishments, they charge extra for cups, which I personally think should be incorporated into their price or customers should at least be informed of the extra charge. * The gal serving me didnt seem as familiar with the drinks yet, giving different info on whether a drink had milk or not. Another gave mixed info on what drink was included in their grand opening special and which were not and hours are posted inconsistently on many platforms. Very confusing. * I also put in my phone number to go towards drink rewards but not sure it actually worked any of the times I tried since it always said 0 points. I know its a soft opening so they're probably working out all the kinks... so its a grace period. But all in all, its fun to see new shops like this in the area and I appreciate the effort to do something different!

We decided to try this cafe because we were in the area. We enjoyed both drinks we got. I was worried we would have to wait long, after seeing reviews online, but the service was actually pretty quick. We wanted to try their flan but they were already sold out. I would definitely go back to try their other drinks.

Egg coffee = amazing. It is a sweet coffee so be warned

The egg coffee here is some of the best coffee I've had in Vancouver. It's so freakin delicious. It's Vietnamese egg coffee. A bit sweet but not too much of you like sweet coffee, you'll love this, if you like unsweet coffee it might not be your cup of tea. The girls that make this are really nice and sweet. I had this coffee 3 times in one week, I love it. Anything else on the menu I haven't tried and I cannot comment. I'm a loyal man, loyal to the best egg coffee in town.

    Alex N.

The best Vietnamese coffee I ever had. Much better than seattle because it wasn't overly sweet. It had lots of flavor that wasn't overpowering the coffee or cream. Highly recommend!

It's so cute and quaint, fits maybe 8-10 people, so perfect for a little lunch date or girlfriend chat fest. Perfect amount for two people. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and tasted so fresh, it had plenty of fresh cheese on top. I found it was a little salty, and a bit dry, but it was still delicious ($21). I will try another pasta next time. The mortadella sandwich ($13) we asked for grilled and it was sooo good. The fresh made foccacia was amazing. It had plenty of mayo and arugula which paired perfectly with the creamy mortadella. They sell plenty of fresh pasta sauces like bolognese, cacio Pepe, truffle cream sauce, along with fresh pasta including gluten free fresh pasta We loved our time here and we will be back!
