Came a couple times for coffee (twice for takeout and once for dine-in) while I was in the area. The cafe is usually quite busy with people working and it seems like a popular spot also for takeout. Noise level is quite minimal with the quiet chatter here and there, making it a good spot to get some work done while people watching. My go-to's for ordering are their matcha drinks for sure. Strong matcha taste and the right amount of sweetness. I've tried the original matcha and the ube matcha before and both were pretty good. If I'm feeling like drinking coffee, I liked their dirty ube latte! I do prefer my coffee on the sweeter side, so something to keep in mind if you're into darker roasts. Also had their hazelnut latte and that was on the bitter side (for my tastes). We also ordered a matcha cookie the last time we were there and it had a strong matcha taste as well. On the sweeter side though since there was also white chocolate/macadamia bits. Would pair well with an espresso. Would definitely come again (as I have already)! we were looking for a brunch place that could double as a study spot for afterwards and we stumbled upon caffè mira. we ordered the ultimate ham sandwich, the prosciutto italia grilled panini, and the iced hazelnut matcha latte. the service was quick and efficient and the cafe was not busy, making it easy to secure a table for two. on to our order! we got our food within a reasonable amount of time after seating ourselves. we first got our matcha, and although not pictured, the matcha latte was quite light in colour and looked a bit lackluster. the taste was not bad, but also not life-changing; the hazelnut and matcha blended together too much for me and it was hard to distinguish each flavour. the sandwiches were yummy, but the bread was a little weird. for the ultimate ham, the bottom piece of bread was soggy and thin. for the prosciutto italia, the middle of the bread was soft and the crust was really tough. the marinara sauce was a great addition to the ultimate ham sandwich though. other than the bread, the actual contents of the sandwiches were delicious! overall, a really good caffè! the abundance of seating and quick service was great and made it easy to get into the groove of studying and working. read more

attended pleasant day fest on saturday and, before wandering the stalls under the sweltering heat, i knew i needed an ice cold pick me up. googled 'matcha near me' and found caffe mira, a cozy spot near heritage hall a block and a half away from the car free day festival. there was a short line at the front, door, a handful of plants, warm lights, indoor seating and a couple of patio tables outside. tables were packed pretty close together, and a glass case displayed sandwiches, cookies, and tempting croissants. a back room with a wooden bench sat empty, offering a quieter corner away from the bustle. i ordered a strawberry matcha latte with oat milk, a picture perfect drink in three distinct layers. at the bottom, a deep blush of strawberry purée, in the middle, a velvety band of pale oat milk, and on top, a rich, earthy uji matcha. the flavour was light and pleasant, though the strawberry pieces weren't blended enough and tended to get stuck at the bottom of the straw. the texture leaned slightly gritty near the end and it could have been a touch colder, but its soft pastel colours and gentle sweetness still made it a refreshing start before the rest of the day's exploring. read more

Charming neighbourhood cafe. Caffe Mira is a great place to drop in for a coffee and a croissant or to stay and work for a bit. There's a small covered patio outside which is nice in summer, even with it being right on Main Street. It can get busy and there's always a bit of bustle going on around the tables as people come in and out. The staff are warm and welcoming. Service is usually quite quick, even when busy. There's a limited selection of pastries, baked goods, and cakes - most are ok. Personally, I'd go savoury at Mira and get a pastry elsewhere. The sandwiches and paninis are decent for a quick lunch - can't go too far wrong with the turkey lover and chicken club. read more

What a lovely little cafe, a few steps away from Heritage Hall on Main St. My friend and I stumbled in here, as we each had a hankering for coffee. The place appeared full when we entered, and we weren't keen on sitting outside (there's a small outdoor seating area in front). The weather was spotty and misty, and it felt like it could rain a hard rain at any given minute. When you enter the shop, the main counter is right in front of you and the main seating area is to the left. All the tables and chairs appeared occupied. However, if you venture further into the cafe, there's a dividing wall at the end of the counter, and to the left of that wall is an intimate seating area for two people, and beyond that, a built-in bench area for 3 to 4 people. These two seating areas are somewhat hidden from view from the front door, so be advised to check the back before thinking there's no vacant seats here! The display case contained some delicious looking pastries. My friend opted for a gluten free brownie (which she loved!), and we both had a chai latte. I gotta say, our coffees were DELICIOUS. One of the best chai lattes I've had in a long time. SO SO good. read more

I've been keen on trying new cafes, in search of ones with good drinks, good vibes.. and some outlets for working since I can't seem to focus at home!! Asian inspired cafes have my whole heart-- a regular at cafes like Lotus Cake Boutique, La Foret, and Ki Cafe etc. As I stumbled across Caffe Mira, I think I might've found another one I can add to my "favourites list". Their unique menu blends different favourite menu items together, such as citrus with coffee, matcha with rose and many more. We got the strawberry matcha and rose matcha. Both were so aromatic. I got 50% percent sweet and found it to be perfect! However, I was a bit taken aback by their extra charge for an iced drink-- I thought it's cheaper since it's more ice and less liquid? But I could totally be wrong. They also had a variety of pastries-- both sweet and savoury. While I didn't get to try any pastries this time, I'm excited to come back and try some next time! The entire cafe was filled with fresh pastries smell and I almost couldn't resist (but I had to because I had a huge lunch prior to visiting). Their atmosphere was a foresty, woody vibe. Most of the cafe was willed with wooden/brown decor with a wall of green at the back (great photo op). Their music choice was also a whole vibe. Even though it was a small space, they had an abundance of table/chairs (I could tell they really tried utilizing their space). It did feel a tiny bit cramped though. Good place to study or work with some unique drink option. Vibes are cozy and there's lots of woods decoration with good lighting. Staffs were friendly and accomodating. I got a dirty ube latte and it was pretty good if a tad too sweet (I typically have my coffee black). Ube taste could be stronger as well. Pastry was unfortunately average. I asked for the spinach puff pastry to be heated up but it was still cold when I ate it. Texture was too crispy and tasted a bit too salty. read more

This is actually my second time to visit this cafe. I like the causal vibe of this cafe and they serve good quality of breakfast sandwiches. Italian sausage sandwich is my fave. The sandwich was nicely made and heated and brought to me by the server. She was cheerful and polite. This made me feel comfortable. The coffee tasted good, not sour or bitter. I was here know February 2nd Sunday for a coffee fix. It was a small coffee shop in casual atmosphere. I've had difficulty finding seats the moment I went in so I got Latte and gluten free double fudge loaf. Coffee and the loaf were good. I had to sit on the patio on Sunday afternoon it was not bad. I've passed by this cafe so many times and am now sad it took me this long to visit!* Cozy space and a little small - tables can't afford to be distanced. No vaccine proof checks, which we would have been more than happy to show, but I guess some places that could easily and more often be to-go are navigating it in their own way? Their chai had enough spice to it, wasn't overly sweet, and their signature mugs kept it nice and warm throughout my meal. Their chocolate croissant is a bit different from a traditional pain au chocolat - the top has a melon-pan-like cookie crust and it's been sliced in half with a chocolate custard-like spread in the middle. Highly recommend letting them warm it up for you! Delicious and would definitely come back for this. The panini was good but not the most unforgettable. It was nice that it wasn't greasy and the soup of the day, a vegetable one was full of veggies and some rice. *It was the meeting point for my friend's candle business (Malaya Handcraft - check it out & support local WOC biz ;). read more

I order here for the first time hoping for the best. It pains me to give a bad review but they are just tasteless. I order the turkey panini, the Hawaiian pizza, Mediterranean salad, a smoothie and a frappe. The only thing that had any flavor was the frappe. The pizza, salad and panini were so tasteless. How do you make a panini without flavor? Another thing was the portion sizes. The salad was so small, the pizza its a child pizza, I wasn't expecting a big one but a little bigger for sure. The panini wasn't a panini either, its a warm sandwich. The salad also was bitter, im sure the lettuce was bad. Very disappointed as it wasn't that cheap. Your salads should not cost 10 dollars. We wanted to try this place after walking by it so many times, surprised it never showed up in my yelp searches for coffee before. We came here mid-afternoon to enjoy some coffee, treats, and get some work done. We ordered two coffees, a white chocolate blueberry scone, and an almond croissant. The croissant was so flaky on the outside, but moist on the inside, sooo delicious! The scone was so soft inside and almost melted in your mouth. It came with a blueberry butter on the side made of blueberry jam and lemon zest. They have a wide menu of sandwiches and other foods that I would love to try next time. Their drink menu also had some yummy sounding drinks I would have tried if I didn't have a sore throat. There is a good amount of seating, outlets along the wall, and free wifi. Ambiance was relatively quiet, there were some people chatting and eating but it wasn't overly loud. They also have a selection of a few books and games to play (scrabble, chess, monopoly, etc). Caffe Mira is a cute, local shop with great service and snacks. I came here twice during my visit to Vancouver, and left satisfied both times. The Lavender Earl Grey Latte is a unique latte drink that Earl Grey lovers will certainly enjoy. I added a shot of espresso for the extra caffeine boost, and the lavender and earl grey flavors still came through the drink. The London Fog scone was another tasty earl grey treat. It was just a little dry, but a bit of butter fixes that. I also tried the Coconut Coffee, but did not love it. The coconut oil made the coffee tangy in a strange way, and I normally love the taste of coconuts. I would stick to plain Drip Coffee in the future. The workers here are also very dog-friendly. I brought my dog along with me, and sat outside on the patio. Along with my order, the worker also brought out a fresh bowl of water for my dog. read more

Wow caffe Mira! I am impressed! Ordered in on skip the dishes early on a Sunday morning and did not disappoint! I was craving scones so I bought two, a blueberry white chocolate and a savory scone for tomorrow. Ordered an almond latte. Great flavor and smooth!!!!!! I was about $8 away from free delivery so I decided to try the ultimate ham sandwich. Was $0.08 away from free delivery (don't you hate that?! Lol!!!) so I added hot sausage for $1.25 to my sandwich. 30 min later I got my food and it was amazing! Their ultimate ham sandwich totally reminds me of a Benny burger from Benny's market in Chinatown. Only Mira's was sooooo much better! The bread was so good, not cold or hard. Just a good soft room temperature bun. Probably toasted slightly before or fresh out the oven this morning. Sandwich came with ham, lettuce, tomato, egg, provolone, garlic mayo... and my added hot sausage (such a good move). Great sandwich. I highly recommend. Would also be a great sandwich to order if you need to cater a daytime baby or bridal shower. Or if you want to drop in or order in. I'll be back sooner than later!!! read more

I ordered the roast beef and chicken panini. I had the roast beef panini and I tasted more of the bread than anything else. The beef was very thin slice. I was expecting more beef. Maybe due to inflation, they got stingy with the beef plus raising the price the sandwich. There was a small portion of salad that goes with the panini. The nice thing was that the panini was warm and that made it nice for a cold weather. My boyfriend had the chicken panini and there was a little more chicken on his panini than my roast beef panini . He enjoyed his panini and for that reason I gave it 3 stars, otherwise, it would be 2 stars. I do not recommend the roast beef panini. I wish I had some photos to post but we were having a quick meal before getting back on the road. read more

Their hot Italian grilled breakfast panini was yummy. Melted provolone cheese, egg and onions with sausage, made a satisfying bite for breakfast. I had this with an almond milk latte. I liked the nice soft jazz in the background and abstract art on the walls. Very relaxing. Also, tempting grilled lunch paninis and soup. Their baked items looked good too. My only negative is that they can improve on their cleanliness. My table had crumbs on it, but a quick wipe took care of that. Only one server doing everything. Amongst the chain coffee places on this stretch of Main St. you find tgis quaint little caffe with a very nice staff and quite eclectic menu. In keeping with the longstanding Italian deli that it succeeded, Mira keeps many Italian menu offerings with their own special creations disbursed within. I didn't want to mess around and had the Americano and the 'ultimate ham' breakfast sandwich. Nice organic beans and a decent serving of sandwich was enjoyed. The room is quiet and cute. They also offer a variety of baked goods and also have pizza and pasta available. If you're looking for a place to hang out for a few minutes while walking Mt. Sunny little cafe on Main. Tried the peanut butter cookie (yummy but hard to finish as it was quite sweet) and a iced berry hibiscus (also yummy but very sweet). Would come again as the music, interior and general atmosphere is great for spending a sunny Saturday afternoon. (They also have Catan!) First 2 times i ordered the paninis were perfect! but then as i continues ordering, I dont know if they switched the sandwhich makers, but the sandwhichse are no longer grilled well at all. the bread is soft and everything falls out. I even would put in the notes to grill well, and still would not be done. It's been consistently like this everytime I order now. I have come here almost everyday since the end of August and I will be continuing this! This cafe is perfect for studying, or meeting with a friend. It's very relaxed and usually very quiet. All of the baristas are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and respectful. On the coffee: - I usually order mochas or frappes and these types of drinks here are soo good! - I'm also a fan of their drip coffee. And they provide honey as well as sugar for sweetener. On the food: - They do a good job making paninis that taste fresh and the usually will have a potato salad to go with that is to die for. I haven't tried the pizza or pasta but I'm sure it is of the same quality. All in all, I'm so glad I found Cafe Mira! read more

I decided I'd try out a new restaurant and got a pretty wide selection of things from Caffe Mira, such as a Hawaiian pizza, a mocha frappe, an oatmeal chocolate cookie, and a BLT. The good: The BLT was very good. Bread was just right, the garlic mayo wasn't overpowering, and the inclusion of an egg is a great choice. The okay: The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was passable. It wasn't good, but it also wasn't bad. Not sure I'd go out of my way to get one of these again. The bad: The Hawaiian pizza and mocha frappe were probably the worst I've ever had. There was so little sauce on the pizza that I'm actually not sure if there even was sauce on it. I didn't taste any, and I couldn't see any. Additionally, the pineapple was unusually sweet, and this sweetness bled into the cheese. Not great. The mocha frappe just tasted like cold coffee. I would have given Caffe Mira one star but the BLT saved it. The sandwich really was fantastic, and well worth the price. Everything else, though, gets a big thumbs down from me. read more
