Blueberry, mango, earl grey, pistachio, ube, caramelized banana

I'm from Washington so I'm judging off of those standards. My partner's cousin who lives in the area took us here, and I would say that it was solid! Drinks: (4/5) I got the pistachio matcha and what stood out to me the most was how strong the matcha flavor was. I believe they use 5 grams per drink which is A LOT. Even then, it wasn't bitter at all which I think you can tell based off the color alone. I was a bit disappointed though that the pistachio flavor wasn't really there so it just tasted like a plain matcha latte. My group tried each other's drinks and I would say that my favorite was probably earl grey, while my least was the seasonal caramelized banana (overpowering). Service: (5/5) Although I didn't interact much with the person taking our orders, I admired how all the staff were still really nice while tackling a BIG Sunday afternoon crowd. All the tables were taken and the line was consistently long. Other notes: I don't think they change extra for alternative milk which I really love. It also seems like they hand whisk everything to order.

This is a joint place with 66 Dessert. Honestly, I came for the matcha but stayed for the dessert. Im just posting my review for the matcha here and the dessert will be on the other page. I got the pistachio matcha ($9). there was a very slight hint of pistachio, but it was mostly stuck at the bottom of the drink. i could also kind of taste the matcha but it was covered up because the drink was too sweet and milky. also the thing was 90% just ice so I felt like i just got scammed. $9 is a lot for a cup of ice haha

My boyfriend showed me this matcha place recently and we decided to check it out and pick one up before a dinner reso earlier in the week. The matcha place is a clean white stand located inside 66 Dessert House on Kingsway. I like that there is lots of seating which makes a good place for a chat with friends or a work/study sesh. There are many options on the menu and we decided to go for the matcha taro milk and the pistachio matcha latte. It was nice to see them whisking the matcha and preparing the drinks in full view. However, I did notice the taro mixture was a lot lighter than the one in the picture. When I tasted the drink, the taro flavour was good but seemed to be very subtle. I also noticed the large amount of ice inside the cup and the drink was not even filled all the way to the top. I think the matcha itself is good, but for the price point I was hoping they would be a bit more diligent about consistency in quality and quantity. I would maybe return if I'm in the area but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Pretty solid experience. Came on a weekend right at opening and was served quickly. The space is quite large with lots of seating, but it does start to fill up quickly. I do wish the hours were shifted a bit earlier (perhaps 9-5? Considering it's a cafe) as currently 12-9 is out of the ordinary for a place that serves caffeinated drinks. Got the strawberry matcha & taro matcha. The taro in my friend's drink was much lighter in person than as advertised, and not as strong of taste. I quite enjoyed the strawberry however. It's a tad pricey but there's no upcharge for alternative milk. If I'm in the area, I'd return.

Matcha corner cafe is one of the most viral cafe in lower mainland. What we got - Vanilla bean matcha latte(signature drink) and Strawberry cream Matcha. Vanilla bean Matcha latte came with Vanilla cream form on the top of basic matcha latte. Vanilla cream form was very creamy, but I felt a bit less amount than I expected. Matcha latte was just ok. Strawberry cream matcha came with strawberry form on the top on Matcha drink . Matcha drink was more flavorful than the vanilla matcha latte. Strawberry form was creamy , but I hope it would be more amount form on it. While I was at shop, there were long line-up and I found a lot of customers ordered strawberry matcha latte. This one must be very popular menu. They offer variety of matcha menu. I will drop by and try another drink.

Located in the heart of east van, The Matcha Corner finally opened its doors to the neighbourhood. It's packed everytime I pass by! Given that they're completely brand new, the wait can be quite long especially during their rush hour! This might actually be one of my newest favourite matcha spots in vancouver now!! The matcha flavour is rich and strong because they use 5g instead of other cafes that usually use 4g (I should probably fact check that lol). Their menu has a plethora of options. We ordered the double matcha, ube ice cream matcha and strawberry match. They were honestly all 10/10, but my fave had to be the ube ice cream matcha. Some other items on the menu caught my interest and I'm going to be back to the next week!! The drinks aren't exactly cheap but for how expensive everything is, I'd say it's pretty average pricing all things considered. Milk alternatives are available at no cost! The interior is modern, cozy and spacious. The owner is super sweet and calm even amidst their long lines. They're training new employees right now, so things are slowly getting up and running. The owner's mom (I believe that's who she is..) tries her best to be sweet and friendly but it felt a little intimidating when she was literally staring straight at the machine to see if they were being tipped LOL. Anyways, you should definitely go visit.

Came here for the soft opening. This matcha cafe is located in a shared location with 66 Dessert. (Both are new). I've had matcha corner lattes before when they had their pop up at a restaurant. I loved their matcha! The attention and care put into each drink was really special (despite the wait). As a soft opening, I'm a bit more lenient on the rating. They're still figuring out the POS system and it took a loooong time to get the drinks. (Longer than one would usually wait for a freshly whisked matcha latte). I understand that there's a lot of interest for the soft opening but beware a hefty wait to order and to get your drink.

Popped by for another matcha - this time the one with strawberry cream on top with oat milk. Remains quite tasty. I think the original matcha still tastes the best :) No line at around 4pm and got my drink quickly.

This summer I've been getting into iced matcha lattes. Tried their strawberry matcha latte, it was so good! With puree strawberries. Bit of a wait, it was a long line but worth the wait. About $8 plus tax & tip. The space is super minimalist and clean. Parking is somewhat hard to find but there is some street parking if you get lucky. Overall it was good, I'd be back.

In LOVE! The matcha taste itself brought me back to Japan. They use matcha from kyoto and the flavour did not disappoint. It has the right amount of sweetness and tea. Inside was really spacious and had tons of seating. Got there at 1 so there wasnt too bad of a line, probably waited for 15 mins. They also service dessert (66 dessert) in a separate menu. This is gonna be my new go to spot.

My friend finally suggested it to me and after having lunch in the area I was able to pass by. I am a sucker for all things pandan so it wasn't hard to make a choice (although the ube latte also spoke loud to me...). It was a good choice, the latte was not too sweet but the flavours just mixed so well together. The workers were helpful in helping my friend decide on what to order. She got the ube latte which I also tried and thought it was delicious as well! The little shop is a order at the counter type situation and there is minimal seating inside. The seating was reminiscent of those little Vietnamese market stalls where you sit around on stools with boxed crates as your table. I'd love to pass by this spot again and give it another try!

All of their pastries I have tried have been great - buttery, flaky, and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. This time around we decided to try the plain crepe with powdered sugar and it was good but nothing amazing so I'd recommend getting a more loaded crepe or sticking to the pastries! Just like in the movies, this coffee shop is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. They have a long menu of delicious, sounding crêpes, as well as pastries, and some unique drinks, including multiple types of London Fog, of which we enjoyed the rose fog. I also had a lavender Matcha, which was super tasty with beautiful latte art on top. The tomato confit and cheese crêpe was delicious as was my pain au chocolat which is my benchmark for how good the pastries are everywhere I go! Really flaky, buttery, but not dripping in butter, with melted chocolate because they keep them in the warmer. There's some seating outside as well as limited seating inside, but early in the morning this is a peaceful place to come. I wish we lived close by so that we could come here every weekend!

This is a order at cashier spot with no table service so they meet my simple expectations for their service with decent politeness, accuracy and efficiency. Plus i find it convenient that they open as early as 7am. Some of my usual purchases here are the matcha drinks, chocolate croissants and earl grey muffins. I give 5 stars to their matcha and I recommend trying their sipping matcha drink if you are a matcha lover like me. They are quite spacious and you can work on your laptop here but it can get busy. It's not my first choice as study/work cafe because I prefer cafes with quiet corners with outlets or relaxing soft music and I find this spot has more of a hipster ambiance and is more ideal as a chill place for hanging out. Hmm, maybe come here to reply work emails but why overwork here when its vibes are set for unwinding ;-) There are side street parking available -- being able to park close by is a plus. Cafes in location with free parking options are the best, so you can buy items to go or you can choose to stay and relax, without the hassles of metered parking expiring and getting parking tickets. This place sells coffee beans and a variety of higher priced merchandise items, in case you need gift ideas or want the luxury of retail therapy for happy vibes.

I actually did some digging and self reflection before writing this as this was some weeks back that I tried to sit with my initials reaction. Popped in around 3pm on a weekday as I was in the area to pick up an americano and some pastries. The 5 minutes that I was around the counter and the interaction between myself and staff (one barista and one cashier) was odd. I made myself sit in a corner to sit with my own feelings post interaction. I'm not going to spend more time ruminating that encounter in detail. However, if one googles the signs and ideology of what a hipster is. I've received pure negative stereotype of a hipster. I found the cashier to me cold and smidge condescending, the barista didn't even acknowledge me, ignored my question and is clearly not deaf or blind when he was calling other patrons drink orders out. This poor Canadian even muttered an accidental thank you when I picked up my drink out of habit. That last one is one me. My 1st world problem of "to be me and be kind to others or straight out be reactionary when put in such situation is going to have me ready for my next battle with a passive aggrissive hipster at their work. ding ding let the battle commence. I'm ready.
