Finally a place where I can actually taste the matcha intrinsically appreciate the uniqueness of the flavor profile of both the matcha and hojicha used here. I appreciate the R&D that went into selecting these matchas to stand out from the other matcha cafes in Vancouver, and the fact that this pop-up is only open on Sat and Sun right now respects the fact matcha is a special occasion thing, not an everyday thing. They just opened this past Saturday, July 19th with a rotating menu and are slated to go until mid-October (unless they extend? pls pls pls). They use 5g of tea powder in their iced latte drinks and sweeten the matcha ones slightly with simple syrup, or maple syrup in their hojichas. For lactose intolerant folks or milk alternative lovers, you're in luck becuase they're free and you can choose between barista oat or soy. For usuchas (thin tea) and koichas (thick tea) served dine-in only due to them being served in chawan bowls, they use 2g and 4g respectively. I love the open bar concept where you can watch your personal drink being made in real time and it's so considerate of them that you might want to get the money shot of your matcha or hojicha being poured into the milk. Everyone's so polite and you can really tell they are passionate about their craft. If you end up loving the drinks as much as I did, they also sell their matcha and hojicha powders + whisks to take home. Chawan bowls are coming soon!

Been to Emeri a few times and sad to see it's closing soon:( It's been a great pop-up matcha bar and I've enjoyed the drinks I've gotten. The menu is very informative; it breaks down the notes of each flavor as well as strength. Roku with my oat milk is my personal favorite! They also sell their matcha/hojicha powders.

My friend and I visited Emeri Matcha Bar during our short trip to Canada. Definitely a highlight of our weekend. We tried the roku, umi, and classic matcha. I would definitely say that the roku was my favorite! The service is nice, we enjoyed watching the baristas create their magic. The ambiance is good as well - didn't mind the line too much!

Finally a place that does matcha right! They are currently only open on the weekends and there is usually a little bit of a wait. I found that the line moved at a decent clip and everyone was super friendly. I love how they have so many different options for matcha and finally I had a latte that allowed the matcha to shine through. We also got the classic hojicha latte which had a nice roast flavour to it. If you are hoping to dine in, they do have a few spots for sitting both inside and outside but would have to say it is limited. I would highly recommend Emeri even with the little bit of a wait!

Now they open Mon - Sat 8 am - 4 pm which is better. This is a very welcoming cafe. Every time we enter the cafe we are warmly welcomed by the owner or the staff members. To me this is really a +1 star as I believe business owners should connect with customers so they know better what the customers want relationship building is important to local business. We ordered the Daisy dogs and Mozzarella twist. They are freshly made and baked in the kitchen. Texture and taste are natural and yummy. Coffee is undoubtedly in good quality. The vibes is good. The ambient music not too loud and the light condition is perfect. I'd definitely recommend this bakery cafe and visit again more often.

Fully expected to see more than presented, our biggest surprise was how expensive their baked goods are for the size. Compared to Michele's Cake Shop or Cafe Artigiano, it was underwhelming and overpriced. There were a handful of small tables available, the shop was virtually empty. We did not find anything suitable to eat so we decided not to stay. I can't comment about the coffee quality but I think they need to reconsider the prices and selection if they want to build a loyal following.

Larger versions were available to for the Holiday season. My Peppermint Hot Chocolate was decent. Nothing to write home about. I think it could have been hotter. I've tried some desserts from this place before. I have a feeling if I'd ordered a dessert to go with my hot chocolate, I would have probably been more impressed with the dessert than the hot chocolate. For what they were offering, and compared with other fancy desserts in other places, I think the prices were pretty average. Average these days though tends to be on the pricey side I think, no matter where you go. I didn't feel like splurging on this particular night. Giving this place an "OK" rating since my hot chocolate was really just OK. If you're looking to splurge a bit though, based on my past experience...I'd recommend trying the desserts.

The mains being served smelled quite good in the air, but since I had a big lunch, I just ordered a ginger turmeric tea and a gluten-free tiramisu brownie. There weren't too many GF options but I did enjoy that brownie! My order for those two items totaled to a little less than $14. I found that pricey, especially since my drink was only a 12oz hot tea My take--I probably won't re-order my last order, but I'd like to come by again to try a main menu item and their coffee! :)

It's very light, slightly acrid, and highly recommend because it didn't leave me feeling heavy in my stomach unlike some oat lattes do. I loved the croissant. Signature flaky pastry with a vibrant center of whipped matcha cream layered over tangy strawberry jam, finished with a fresh strawberry and matcha dusting. Dough was very crispy outside just like they described signature flaky pastry. And whipped matcha cream had strong matcha flavor, very creamy and not overly sweet. So, it paired with strawberry jam so well. Strawberry jam had well-balanced tangy and sweet flavors, I really liked it. I highly recommend this item! Service was very good and friendly
