Great ambiance, but limited seating space. The staff were also incredibly kind and patient. I didn't get a chance to try their coffee, which is what they're known for so I'll definitely have to go back for that. My experience this time would be 3.5/5. I got their strawberry milk matcha. A large (which is really just reshapes size at other places) is $10 after tax and tips. I find that a bit too pricy even for today's market. Granted, i know their strawberry milk is made from real strawberries. I think the strawberry definitely overpowered the taste of the matcha. It seemed very popular and what majority of the people were ordering there. Overall, it wasn't bad. But I didn't order even or stay long enough to warrant an accurate general rating-- this is for this experience only.

A cute coffee shop located in Downtown Vancouver. We're still raving about how good their specialty cold brew was months after our trip. The cafe doesn't have many tables, but it offers plenty of seatings with benches next to the floor-to-ceiling windows, and an outdoor seating area. Restroom available. *Tiramisu Cold Brew, Salted Caramel Cold Brew I personally prefer the salted caramel one a little bit more -- it's a savory-meets-sweet coffee with the sea salt caramel cold foam. Opt for the larger cup size and you won't regret it. Both specialty coffee wasn't too sweet. A good balance between the bitterness of cold brew and sweetness from the cream foam. *Croissant So flaky and buttery. Didn't expect to get croissants of really good quality at a coffee shop so it surprised me. We were lucky to grab the last croissant from their pastry shelf.

I stumbled across this cafe on my way to nemesis to kill off some time before meeting someone at the convention centre, and I'm glad I did. They sell a variety of pastries and drinks. The strawberry matcha I ordered was delicious and perfectly sweet. They used strawberry milk (i think?) instead of the typically strawberry jam. I ended up staying for a bit to read my book and I love that it is so much quieter than nemesis around the corner. Such a cute spot and would definitely come back to try other stuff on their display/menu!

The interior is pretty and calming. They've got big windows with natural lighting. The drinks are good too, but there are limited seatings available since it's not a big place. I think the hojicha latte my friend got would be a better option. If you're here for the matcha, there are better places to get it from.

Lovely spot for coffee. Great ambience and service. Enjoyed my americano and chocolate chip cookie. Moist, flavourful, good amount of sea salt on top.

Omg this cafe is one of the best I have tried in Vancouver. Their iced strawberry matcha latte is amazing! And the coffee tastes so good. I will definitely come back !

There was only one family ahead of me when I entered, who was asking questions about bean recommendations. The person at the order counter was really helpful providing them with good information. When it was my turn to order, it was quick since I had already selected beans that I wanted to purchase, and my oat latte. Option was asked if I wanted to dine in or takeout, and I went with the latter. After I got my drink, I took a seat on one of the benches they have outside the store. There's also a decent amount of indoor seating and an outdoor patio section in front of the store. Not my first time trying Nemesis since I've been to Vancouver before, but definitely a reminder of why they are listed as one of the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops. If I wasn't so full from brunch, I would have also gotten one of their pastries. Seeing them all was very tempting.

Not a place to sit a work for hours. Ok for just 30-45 minutes. Be ready to pay $$$. Music on louder side. The food at first glance looks and sounds like every other upscale coffee place with expensive croissants and loafs, BUT, when you order off their menu you get a very nice palatable surprise!!! The chef has designed really gourmet modern twists using familiar ingredients like Asian style pork belly eggs Benedict or asparagus danish with yummy mozzarella cheese grated on top. Very unexpected and very tasty in a premium experience way. Like Michelin star level. The reason I have four instead of five stars was because of my ordering experience. I had stood at the counter waiting to order. Awkwardly waiting for the staff to finish chit chatting. And then giving me a little look like I'm interrupting their conversation. The person who ended up serving me was pleasant but my first impression was made. The architecture was very aesthetically unique compared to anything else that I have experienced. I thought it looked and felt like I was inside an apple. Not sure what it was though!! It's quite over the top for a coffee spot or restaurant, but considering it's right next to Emily Carr University, it makes more sense that the building is art too. Would come back again.

I really like "Asian" style doughnuts as they are less sweet than their western counterparts. I had the matcha cream and could definitely taste the matcha. My boyfriend lined up at 9:30am for a 10am opening and there were already 25 people ahead of him. By the time the store opened, the line was over two blocks long. This is a cute location where the emphasis is on sweet and savoury croissants but they offer Danish, cinnamon buns, tea, and coffee options. We ordered the limited offering of the strawberry creme croissant plus got a regular croissant, onion jam & bacon, pistachio & raspberry, and ham & cheese. All of these croissants were DELICIOUS and the regular croissant brings me memories of Paris! Yes, they are pricey but at around $1.50 to $2.50 more than a croissant from Starbucks a block away, it is well worth it as a treat. I look forward to tasting more flavours and taking friends here to catch up over a delicious croissant and hot cup of tea. The River District neighbourhood needed a cute café like this and so glad they are finally open. Pro tip: if enjoying the treats at home, reheat the croissants in low heat. They taste better warm!
