I really enjoyed the satay broth vs the traditional pho broth. The spice level was probably a 1.5-2 which was personally just right for me. I appreciate the subtle peanut flavor. I also really enjoy the spring roll there. I would love to come back the next time I'm in the downtown Vancouver area. The service was friendly and prompt. We came on a Sunday morning just as they were opening up.

Great as usual. First came here three years ago when we first moved to Vancouver. A lovely option for lunch in the midst of a busy conference at the Parq. Gave my leftovers to a homeless man under the bridge nearby. Hope he enjoyed them.

Food: 2.5/3 Service: 1/1 Ambience: 1/1 I come here all the time for food with co-workers since it's close to work, but I've also come here on my own for dinner many times. The food is consistently good, the staff is friendly, and the service quick. Their menu is also quite large too, filled with all the standard vietnamese fare you would expect so you have options even when coming with a large group. I am a regular here and would say it's always a good spot to hit up when you're in the mood for hot noodle soup or Vietnamese food in general. They don't have any items that are specially unique to their menu, however I can always count on them to consistently serve a good meal.

I came here for lunch. The staff at the store are very pleasant and quick. There was something interesting on the menu, so I decided to order the orange pho that caught my eye. House Special Satay Peanut Butter Coconut Milk in the soup. It was the right orange soup and tasted as the name suggests. I think you have a taste for this, but it was worth a try. Lol Pho has three sizes, but even small was enough. And I added fried Pork Spring Rolls. I want to come here again and try other menus.

I really like this place cuz they have a great pho, smells amazing and service is pretty good. Very casual and peaceful ambiance. However I took one star off cuz every time I put bean sprouts, the broth cool down too much..

Looking for a quick lunch, I went to Pho Khanh. I've walked by so many times and always perked up at the smell. I got the salad rolls, iced coffee, and grilled shrimp on rice noodles with pork. The service was excellent, promptly seating me and bringing out the dishes. The coffee was rich and flavourful. The salad roll was well constructed and tasty. The main course wasn't my favourite with the spring roll having a very soft texture. Overall a good experience!

If ramen and pho had a baby, it would be the house special satay soup. I had the #22 Rare steak and beef balls satay rice noodle in soup. Served with a side of mint leaves. 5/5 for the food and price!

We landed in Vancouver at night and was looking for dinner near the airbnb. It was about a 15 minute walk from our airbnb and was well worth it. Hot soup needed for a cold night. My family and I ordered 2 XL combo pho, lemon grass chicken, and pork spring rolls. The pork spring rolls is a must!!! It was soo crispy and fresh. The food here was soooo delicious! The service was so friendly. Busy place.

Great place to grab a quick Vietnamese bite. I am Vietnamese and thought the Pho and Chicken rice were on point. Servers were fast and efficient

Normally I wouldn't come down town for Pho but I had the itch and was in the neighborhood. Had the summer rolls plus the pork skewers. Rolls were standard but the skewers were well seasoned. The pho is good. Clear broth. Fresh ingredients. The only complaint is the soup (which is the most important part of pho). It was a tad too sweet. It hit the spot on a rainy day. Satisfied.

The pho here is so good! And the sizes are true to what you ordered. I ordered the XL, and it was truly an extra large. Everything about it was great. No complaints. Definitely hit the spot on a cold winter night.

Took a chance and wasn't disappointed. Everything we had was super delicious. Can't wait to go back.

They also have a bar area. Kind of an Asian French fusion menu. Food dishes were good and creative, but it didn't really appeal to me. I appreciated the good service and chill atmosphere, but not sure if I would come back. I would say that their house made spicy was really good. A mix of sweet, sour, and spicy. Had a brightness to it yet also very, very spicy. Tastes great on many of the dishes, especially if you wanted a nice "kick" to the food. I believe you can order a jar to take home if you wish.

The space is much nicer, with high ceilings and lots of light - great looking bistro. I ended up trying the following: - Mussels: Very good. Classic dish, but I really like the use of cream in the broth. - Bánh Mì Cay Hải Phòng (Spicy Baguette Sticks): Good. A nice little snack, although it would be easy to recreate at home. - Lamb Chops: Very good. Cooked just right, and the pepper sauce added extra flavour. - Fried Frog Legs: Very good. This was probably the surprise dish for me. They weren't just the legs, but the entire bottom of the frog, so the pieces were huge. The garlic, butter and chili flakes gave it a extra punch. I really enjoyed this one. - Pho Bo: Good. Not the best pho I've had, but it's good enough to stand on it's own. Service was quite good. Very cheerful and quite attentive. Overall a nice meal. It's a great space, the food is solid, and service to match. What I really like is having the variety of both French and Vietnamese dishes, without either of them suffering in quality. Only downside is that is it expensive for what you get.

Went in for lunch with my granddaughter, both of us fans of Vietnamese food. Ordered Green Papaya Salad ($12), Lemongrass Chicken on Vermicelli with one spring roll ($17), one lime soda ($6.50) and one pop ($3). Food arrived within minutes of ordering. Portions were very generous. The salad was perfect with everything very fresh, as it should be but often isn't in some places. Plump prawns and the scent and taste of basil was prominent. Delicious! The lemongrass chicken (we ordered extra chicken) with a spring roll was also very generous. We did not finish it between the two of us. Again, all was fresh, tasty and hot. This is one of our standard orders and Pho Goodness did not disappoint. Granddaughter declared it better than at our regular favourite, and Pho Goodness is around the corner from her home and not a bus ride out to Kingsway! Service was friendly and responsive. We asked that the volume be turned off on the massive TV over our heads (which nobody was watching) (it was), requested a glass for the pop and immediately received a tumbler full of ice. Lovely. We have found a new favourite on Davie Street, a true foodie heaven with a collection of independent restaurants of many ethnicities available. We will return to Pho Goodness when the urge for Vietnamese food strikes again.

The Garden Rolls were absolutely the #1 worst ones we've ever eaten! We've had hundreds of fresh rolls at dozens of places and sadly, none were as tasteless as these. They consisted of noodles, a bit of flavorless tofu and cucumber. Fresh rolls MUST have at least one or more of the following: fresh mint, fresh cilantro or fresh Thai Basil. Hestia's had NONE!. To add insult to injury, the watery sauce also had NO flavor. To add more insult, they were baggy and poorly wrapped and the innards kept falling out. Not fun and definitely not good. The king oyster mushrooms were very good, but there was a ton of pink mayo dousing it. I would have preferred the sauce be in a separate bowl so we could choose how much dipping we'd like to do. The saffron tofu bowl was sensational! Perfectly spiced and full of a huge variety of well-cooked veggies plus the saffron rice was good too. No one came during our meal to ask if we needed anything or to ask how our meal was. The customer service is in need of some work.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner one evening and each ordered the aforementioned noodle soup--she got a small ($11.75 plus tax) and I got a regular ($12.75 plus tax). We also got an order of salad rolls ($7.50 plus tax), which comes with 2 rolls. The rolls came quite late. They were pretty standard, coming with fried tofu, vermicelli, and lettuce. The peanut dipping sauce was on the liquidy, salty soy sauce side of things -- I wish it were creamier and less salty. 3/5 The soups were decent. The broth was peppery, with some nice, gentle spices detectable in there. I asked for a side of chili oil, which helped amplify the broth. You get a generous portion of noodles, fried tofu, and vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, carrot). Unfortunately the veggies were quite overcooked -- the broccoli was almost soggy, so were the carrots and bok choy. 3/5 All in all, middle-of-the-road veggie pho. The broth is pleasant. The veggies were overcooked, but plentiful and nicely chosen. Decent place for veggie pho.
