Been visiting this restaurant with a friend twice already. Pho Khanh has variety to choose from rice, noodle, vegetarian, appies and drinks. Even if someone is not good in English, the menu is written in Chinese and Korean next to English descriptions. Depending on your appetite their noodles come in small, large and x-large sizes. My friend ordered 6 Beef Brisket noodle (small $15.95) while I ordered 64 Grilled Chicken and Spring Roll with Vermicelli ($18.95). The size was just about right for Pho. Mine was big. It had plentiful of veggies with freshly cooked spring rolls and meat. Noodles weren't too mushy. I somehow felt fish sauce was too little for my food. Later I called the server to request for more fish sauce. He started talking to me in Korean even though I didn't have communication issue in English. Anyways service was great. Food was fantastic. I'd warn ventilation system wasn't great so you might pick up food odour on your clothes. I felt cold sitting in the restaurant as the door was swung open for that reason. This place has very quick service! We were seated quickly and were brought water after we sat down. After we ordered, the food arrived very quick as well. I ordered a small rare steak and beef brisket rice noodle soup and I thought it was pretty good! The broth was very rich in flavour and there was good amount of meat. Looking for a place that served pho in the area, and there's not a lot of options. Pho Khanh has the usual offerings, seating and service was quick. Pho nowadays are getting pricey though, at $18 for a bowl of large pho. The large size was filling and they weren't stingy with the toppings. The broth was standard, didn't stand out either way. The spring rolls was deepfried, oily, and bland so I wouldn't recommend. It was an OK place for a pho fix. read more

I really enjoyed the satay broth vs the traditional pho broth. The spice level was probably a 1.5-2 which was personally just right for me. I appreciate the subtle peanut flavor. I also really enjoy the spring roll there. I would love to come back the next time I'm in the downtown Vancouver area. The service was friendly and prompt. I came here for lunch. The staff at the store are very pleasant and quick. There was something interesting on the menu, so I decided to order the orange pho that caught my eye. House Special Satay Peanut Butter Coconut Milk in the soup. It was the right orange soup and tasted as the name suggests. I think you have a taste for this, but it was worth a try. We ate here a couple of times as the hotel we were staying by was nearby. We really enjoyed the quick service. They seated our party of 4 immediately every single time we were there. The staff was super friendly and even remembered us a couple weeks later when we came back. We went in June and it was hot outside. I don't know if the air conditioner doesn't work, or if it's broken, or non existent. I recall they have the back doors propped open and a fan. It was uncomfortably hot, truly feels like I'm in Vietnam eating a big bowl of pho in the heat. The menu is quite extensive ranging from Vietnamese and Cambodian.The kids loved the pho, but my daughter didn't like the meatballs. I thought the food was good, the broth was hot, and I liked that you can order various sizes based on how hunger you are feeling. If we are in the area again, we will come back. Looking for a quick lunch, I went to Pho Khanh. I've walked by so many times and always perked up at the smell. I got the salad rolls, iced coffee, and grilled shrimp on rice noodles with pork. My previous review 2023, I gave it 5 stars. It is now 2026 and we have been back there several times since 2025 and 2026. I gave it a 2 star now because I believe the business has been sold to new owners. I've asked them and they said no, but I don't believe it. The taste of the beef pho tastes different, the portions are much smaller, and even the staff is different. We don't see any of our regular servers, as you can see we are regulars there and have been for the last few years. The menu has changed along with the price. This is my go-to Vietnamese spot! I always order #4, the rare beef rice noodle. I'm not a big eater, so the small size is usually sufficient. I've had the medium size a couple of times in the past, but I didn't finish the bowl and ended up with leftovers. The servers are friendly, though some may come off as a bit blunt or just doing their job. The service is generally fast. It can get a little busy when there's a game, since it's next to the stadium, but I don't usually need a reservation. I believe they don't have many large tables, so you may need a reservation for a big group. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting Pho Khanh Express during my month-long stay in Vancouver, and I liked it so much, I went back 4 more times! It was located conveniently close to my Airbnb so Pho Khanh Express quickly became my go to comfort meal. Their menu is very extensive but I tried my best to try as many dishes as possible. Everything was delicious but there were a few standout dishes that deserve special mention. The spring rolls, in particular, might have been the best I ever had. They were perfectly fried, not greasy at all, and flavorful - making them an ideal starter for any meal. The Hue's special with egg noodles was my favorite dish on the menu. The broth was rich, aromatic, and the egg noodles were cooked perfectly. It's a must-try for anyone visiting Pho Khanh Express. And, of course, the pho! It's rare for me to try a memorable pho nowadays but the broth is wonderfully flavorful and hot, which was especially appreciated on those chilly Vancouver evenings. The generous portion of tender meat and fresh herbs complemented the broth perfectly, making each bite a delightful experience. The service at Pho Khanh Express is impressively fast. My water was refilled every 5 minutes and the food comes out very quickly as well. The only minor inconvenience is that they don't accept American Express, but I didn't really expect them to. This place is phenomenal. The owner and staff are all so friendly and service was quick. We had a party of 4 and were seated right away. Three of us ordered Lemongrass chicken with rice and egg, and one of us had pho. When the food came out, the portions were so massive that the plates barely fit on our table together. I mean, one serving of lemongrass chicken was two large chicken thighs. On top of that, it was delicious; so flavorful and cooked to perfection. Exceptional pho, rolls, and service On the walk to our hotel we passed by Pho Khanh and made a note of it. And when I searched online I saw that the 'best Pho' in Vancouver was also the closest. Happily, we agreed with this assessment wholeheartedly. The Pho was excellent with great broth, noodles, and sides. We were also quite pleased to discover that you can order just one roll, so I and my wife shared a (fried) Spring Roll and a (cold) Summer Roll and both were delicious. Good veggie pho, though far from the best. 4 stars for the food, minus 1 star for business practices. We stopped in for lunch on a Friday around 12:15pm and it was packed, but they sat us right away. My wife ordered the veggie noodle soup and I ordered the satay veggie noodle soup. Both came out in about 10 minutes. The regular veggie broth was decent and amped up nicely by some chili oil (which they charge $0.50 for -- never been to another pho place in town that charges for such a thing). The satay broth was heavy, relying mostly on the coconut milk, with a solid satay character. Both soups were large portions, had plenty of fresh veggies (broccoli, carrots and green cabbage), lots of well-cooked rice noodles, but no tofu -- which is definitely a downside, as most other veggie phos in town come with tofu. The menus we were given said the two soups were $13 and $14 respectively. When I went to pay by bill, the charges were $15.95 and $16.95, respectively. "We increased our prices a few months ago." Me: "Okay, but you gave me the menu with the wrong prices then." She shrugged it off. That's not cool. So, needless to say, their tip decreased. So I popped in on a quiet holiday Monday afternoon, just after Valentine's Day for a small snack. Firstly, that pink decor is... woah. Is it possible for something to be so kitschy that it goes from tacky to fabulous? Honestly, it looks like someone with a Barbie Princess obsession ran out of money after the walls and (very ornate) crystal chandelier and just ended up getting the chairs and tables from a church basement garage sale. I hope whoever's responsible goes all-in and finishes the place off with tables and chairs to befit the outrageous decor! Oh, and if the pink wasn't enough, it was enthusiastically decorated for Valentine's Day too. It's definitely not for everyone, but ya gotta admire the commitment! As for the food, I only had a small snack, but they were perfect for my needs: The (not spicy) pork skewer was unbelievably delicious! Definitely one of the better things you can do with your $5. It was juicy, moist, perfectly basted with a delicious sauce, with just the right amount of unctuous fat ribboned through the meat. The deep fried spring rolls were pretty decent - were they the best? No. But they were better than most out there, and definitely hit the spot. The service was very cheerful, friendly and fast. He wore a pink shirt to match the decor - I appreciate the thematic commitment! The place was quite clean, and the seating was well spaced out - it's much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. Great new Pho in Downtown near the BC Place Stadium ( is this what its still called now? )...being a long time Vancouver residence, I still remember the exact site where this Pho is built on...this used to be a parking lot at the end of the Cambie Bridge (North end). And why you ask I remember so vividly? Well, during a rainy day in the late 90's I drove my Civic hatchback on Cambie Bridge towards my workplace in downtown, lost control and my car flew into the parking lot! Call me a crazy driver, but hey that was me in the 90's...fast forward to 2020, no more parking lot and the BC Place Stadium is almost surrounded by high-rises and apartments and you hardly see the top! Back to the Pho, this is like a Vietnamese Nail Shop / "French" Patisserie / Hip Afternoon Tea Shop / Whatever! Yes, it is not your regular Pho place, the whole shop has a glow of Pink in whatever you see...oh yes, back to the Pho...good solid beef soup base, Pho noodles are cooked to perfection i.e. al dente! My "Cambodian" Egg Noodle soup is also done well, but nowadays, its hard to find more authentic Cambodian noodles, so I would take this over any other I have tried recently, (they don't give you the fake crab meat, YAY!!). So if you are near this end of the town come and see for yourself, and enjoy a hot bowl of Pho in a not so Pho Shop-like setting. read more

It had the ususal carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, green onion, etc. with the numoc fish sauce. I enjoyed it but the one thing I did not like was that the noodles were already either broken or purposely cut short...and I don't know if that's because they were overcooked or intentionally cut that way. read more

We are staying at a nearby hotel (Georgian Court) and had a long day of walking and so we didn't want to venture far. Found this place which was less than 5 mins walk from hotel and the reviews are pretty positive. It is a corner restaurant and inside looking out, there are plenty of seats. I got the rare steak with tendon rice noodle soup large size and my son got the grilled chicken rice noodle soup. Both these dishes are piping hot and pretty decent for pho noodle dishes. Good thing is they are not too salty. My wife got the grilled pork with shrimp over rice vermicelli and she thought it was just average and could have used more vinegar for that acidic punch. We share a fried pork rolls (2 piece rolls which they cut up into 8 pieces) which is not how we usually have it and just alright. Overall, will give this place 3 stars but will have to say the service is pretty good and lots of customers do come in for dine in. read more

Came here on a rainy night in Vancouver. Great service and delicious food. The owner came over and took out order and chatted with us. Broth was fragrant, comforting and filling. Its tough for me to find a Vietnamese restaurant that I'm willing to come back to because I grew up on homemade Vietnamese food and so the bar for taste is very high. Disappointed! Saw the 4.7 out of 5 and we decided to have dinner here tonight. I have not ever had a worse tasting meal and my wife left 60% of her food untouched. Seriously lacking taste, our food was made with very little spices and herbs that defines the cuisine, it was lacking so much flavor. The summer rolls were literally wrapped iceberg lettuce and few strands of noodle and thin slices of shrimp for decoration. That's it! Where's the cilantro, where's the mint, where's the usual herbs that make this a decent summer roll? I ordered the #14 Pho. Same thing. Flavorless, it came with bean sprouts, one wedge of lime, three small stems of basil. I'm used also having slices of jalapeño, Cilantro, more basil, but was told it was extra and had to pay for it. This is NOT a 4.7 to our taste. Maybe a 3.....maybe. The #62 Vietnamese salad with grill pork and egg roll had very good flavor and mouth feel and seasoning of the meat and the egg roll. That's it. The rest of it was watered down noodles and a few specks of herbs for decoration it seemed. not even asking for extra fish sauce and lemon could fix it at our table. Yeah, not coming here again sorry to say. We were asked by the owner regarding our experience, we were just going to go but had to tell him.
