I love their garlic and spicy seasoning. My go-to place for crawfish this season! The only problem, however, is that its not always consistent. Sometimes it'll be right on, and other times it'll be overly seasoned without requesting it. Nonetheless, when they do it right, I really enjoy it. read more

BYOB - purchase beer inside 99 Ranch Market; Garlic butter flavor and Cajun flavor! Also something different.... Pho... With crawfish meat! 10% off with your yelp check-in! read more

I usually order the crawfish with the garlic butter sauce. I've had the cajun sauce but it's not as flavorful. They have 2 levels of spiciness just medium and extra spicy. I go with the medium, it has a little kick. I got the spiciest one once but it was a bit too spicy for me. The sweet potato fries are also great! I've also had the beignets and it was also great. I usually don't get it though just because I stuff myself with crawfish :) They only have canned drinks which is a con (i like my free refills from a fountain soda machine). I still like the whole sha bang sauce the best at boiling crab but I think this is a good alternative especially since it doesn't have the long wait. But definitely would recommend this place! read more

I've been coming to this place since it opened up a few years ago and the owners, Richard and Minson are incredibly amazing. They are so friendly and they trained their staff to be the same. They know me and my family by name and are always helpful. Lately, some of the crawfish quality hasn't been up to par but overall I can't complain. The Pho here is pretty damn good for a crawfish joint. I come to to this location about twice a week and get my weekly fix if I don't want to drive all the way down to Bellaire since it is right around the corner from my house. Speedy service with a smile. I always leave with a full and happy stomach! read more

This is my go-to place for crawfish, asian style crawfish is starting to gain its popularity, and this is the place to go. My favorite is the garlic butter style medium spicy. Come early, as the line can get crazy at times. read more

Went to this place one day for lunch. The place looks like a shack but not in a bad way. My girlfriend and I got 6 pound of crawfish. 3 & 3 of their two flavors but both taste the same IMO. 5.99 is cheaper than most for crawfish so I can't complain. Their basil wings were decent kinda sweet and the sweet potato fries could be better. They also have pho but i didnt try that. Overall I would recommend this place to other people to try. read more

Pretty much have gone here weekly since I found out about this place ;) I've tried all the other big crawfish joints in town but this one's my fave because: 1) Long lines, but it moves fast since there's plenty of seating in the food court outside of LA Crawfish. If only Boiling Crab had unlimited seating like this, their lines would move too! 2) Their chicken wings are amazing and cheap! And since your hands are a mess from the crawfish, you can chow down on your wings without worrying about making a mess! 3) Their crawfish is about $1/lb cheaper than their competition 4) Their "beverage selection" is better than any other restaurant and has better pricing since you can basically just buy whatever you want from the supermarket and bring it in! 5) Crawfish pho. Sounds gimmicky since you're probably expecting regular beef pho with some dead crawfish sprinkled in there. But the soup is actually crawfish based and better than some of the best pho restaurants in town! 6) The garlic butter sauce. Medium hot cuz spicy is too much for me to handle. 'Nuff said! read more

Wow. Hands down the best crawfish in Houston. The flavors and freshness here are unlike anywhere else. Tried the snow crab in spicy garlic butter - outta this world. The spicy Cajun seasoning was on point too. This place gets super busy, the line no less than 10 people the entire time I was there, but service is quick. read more

It's super spicy and delicious! We got the Cajun style shrimp, crawfish and crab. BYOB.

So I finally got around to trying this place recently. I've been on the hung for GREAT crawfish. Being a New Orleans native I know that there is 4 things you must look for when eating crawfish. Heat Factor, Size, Flavor, and price! This place gets about 3.5 out of 4. The only that that made me deduct points was because of the 2 different favors. Spicy Garlic and Cajun. I personally don't believe that crawfish should have a dry seasoning. The price was great. 5.99 lb. Overall They're doing a good job. read more

Super awesome crawfish place not so much for the crawfish.. Although it is good.. On the flavor side I have hAd better it's more so good for the convience (located inside a Asian market) grocery store/other Asian restaraunts/ Little boutique type stores as well. They also served pho but i was not impressed at all.. And I have had pho in many states and small and big cities... It also had a BYOB policy... There tea wasn't sweet enough for me... Other than that cool place! read more

My all time favorite. My bff and I visit this location religiously, almost every week, and all I can say is wow! I love their seasoning. My friend always gets garlic, i always get hot & sour crawfish and shrimp and it's an addiction. I've tried other plates and they are also delicious. We love the staff! Always smiling, helpful and just awesome. read more

OMG i should be a recruiter for his place. I found this place on accident one day on my lunch break. I had the crawfish pho. SOOOOO delicious. My next visit was with my mom and kids about 3 days later, my son loved it, he even said mom i can eat all of these crawfish cuz they are so good, and they dont burn my lips like when you cook them lol. I came back AGAIN with my cousin and she had the gumbo which she said was very good and I once again i devoured the crawfish pho. LOVE this place so much!!! ANd we were taught the correct way to pronounce PHO!!! EVERYTHING HERE IS WORTH THE PRICE. read more

Best Pho ever!! And the staff are always fun and friendly very good atmosphere. I definitely recommend.

Been going to LA Crawfish for a couple years now. Used to be reliable for decent crawfish but this past outing was a different story. The crawfish tasted like its been sitting for a while and the seasoning was way underdone, except for the spice... spicy drowns out any flavor at all in what seems like old stale crawfish. Seems like a good strategy, turn old crawfish spicy and customers wont notice. Yeah right. On top of that, ordered some pho 'to-go', but they brought it out 'for-here'. When I told the teen cashier that I had ordered it to-go, in his soft girly voice he says 'well, we already made it'. What kind of legit establishment says something like this??? So I told them to go make it right and into a to-go order. He takes it to the back and I can see the fat asian cook and the girly pale asian cook laughing as they put stuff into a container, and the order comes back out... naturally, I'm going to double check my order. They just took the same noodles out from the soup and you can see it drenched as it was laying in a styrofoam container. Anyone who has taken pho to-go knows that this is a big NO, the noodles taste like shit when you get home. So I take it back to them again, and finally they get some fresh noodles for me. I mean seriously, what's the point of doing all this? Why not just make the order right from the beginning? Needless to say, there are just way too many crawfish establishments with much fresher crawfish and better seasoning to come back to this mediocre one with amateurs staffing the front and kitchen. read more

been going to this place for years and never posted a yelp review! Thank you guys for opening up!! My personal fav is the CRAWFISH PHO!!!!!! Had been recommending friends about the place and all had agree, best crawfish joint in Houston, TX!!! GREAT PRICES ALSO!!!!! 6.99 a pound still!!! Some things might be a little different to some people bc of their fusion. BUT NO! Their fusion is what makes it that much better. There garlic butter and Hot n Sour is to die for! have it with crab, shrimp or crawfish. defiantly hits the spot. read more

I love coming here they're crawfish is amazing and they're wings are to die for I also enjoy there crawfish egg rolls!

This is probably one of my favorite crawfish places in town with different flavors along with other seafood and food options. The staff is friendly and I can count on it to get my food ordered and served at the right time. This place is located inside the 99 Ranch market and I recommend it to others to come here for their great food and service. read more

I am DEF. a crawfish lover (eat like 10-14lbs by myself) and have tried all crawfish places in Houston which "Wolfies" has always been my favorite, but after my new discovery (LA CRAWFISH) its now second place. This LA CRAWFISH place is superb!!!! THE BEST CRAWFISH EVER!!!!!! EVER!!!! Gosh I cant even think about it without watering my mouth! Will be back friday for sure! read more

HIGHLY OVERRATED ... a bit pricey for what they serve.. frozen and over cooked.. asked for spicy on both cajun crawfish and hot & sour crawfish and tasted pretty bland.. good crawfish doesn't need to be dipped in anything, I should be able to eat the crawfish and taste good flavor just by cracking it open and eating it but instead I had to dip the tail in cajun seasoning and squeeze limes on it.. this review is for the crawfish only. My girlfriend got the wings and fries.. fries were good, wings were OK. Nothing special. I prefer "Crawfish and Beignets" in the Hong Kong market. I just wish I can find real Louisiana style crawfish out here in texas.. read more

The crawfish are ~good quality, not the best (like back in NOLA).. but the seasoning is AMAZING! I usually get 5-6lbs for 2 people, grab some beer from the store, and pig out. Great times. Chicken wings are also delicious and crispy. 4/2/13 On the last 2 visits, there was a significant reduction in tasty garlic sauce on my crawfish - I spoke with the very nice guy behind the counter and he said he will speak with the owners. disappointing... will wait to see if they fix the problem. Still the best Chicken Wings you can get read more

5 stars for making my sweat and breath smell like garlic all day. Thanks Minson! read more

Saw the reviews and gave crawfish a try... Very plain...will do at home next time I want crawfish

My crawfish were soft and every back was broken in half. The walls were filthy and the tables were all dirty. There's no waiter you just seat yourself and clean up your mess! Please ppl avoid these long lines and poor service! Don't get it confused with LA Crawfish Shack on Gessner!! There is no comparison!!! read more

This place is very a very casual counter service for crawfish. Get there early on the weekends as seating can get limited if you want to sit inside of their dining area. The crawfish is pretty standard with many varieties of heat to choose from. All the side dishes are a la carte so you can customize your meal according to your taste. The chicken wings are very tasty and comparable to major wing chains. Theres also some rice noodles soups which is a good change of pace if you decide you want something different. Overall a good crawfish place if you are in the area. read more

Byob!! The crawfish is great, not as cheap as I've found other places but still worth it for the atmosphere. Lots of fun to go hang out with friends, and there are usually a lot of people so you do have to wait in line. But, you can also get a little shopping in since it's in an asian market. Did I mention it's byob? read more

LA Crawfish is my new favorite crawfish spot. I used to be a huge fan of crawfish and noodles, but recently converted when I found LA Crawfish. First, the price is always low and consistent regardless of how big the crawfishes are (and most of the time they are huge). Secondly, it's BYOB! I can bring my favorite beer and not get taxed. Third, it's easy to find a parking spot. Fourth, the staff is super friendly. One of the owners remembered my name! And one of the girls at the front has an absolutely beautiful smile :) Fifth, the food comes out super fast. Sixth, my buddy just completed the ghost pepper crawfish challenge, so now I can use him to get 10% off- yay-yuh! Seventh, it is just so damn tasty-crawfish spicy, sweet potato fries, and king crab legs. All good. So so good. I've been there 4 times already within the past month... and i plan to go again sometime soon! read more

Crawfish is ok. But Pho crawfish??? I do not think so. Its soup is blank! I vote 3 stars coz your crawfish. I recommend do not taste any other dishes. Just crawfish ;) read more

I normally love the crawfish at LA Crawfish but today I was very disappointed with the quality. I know it's still not quite crawfish season, but every single crawfish in our 5 pound order was small and mushy. Hopefully once they start serving live crawfish the quality will improve. If you want your money's worth, wait until March to fulfill your crawfish craving. My craving was not satisfied today. read more

So bummed to start it with a 2 star. My boyfriend wanted me to try a place he had gone to for years in the past, but not in the most recent year or two. Seating is really cool, and although the tables in their section may be full you can go right out to the other area. It's BYOB which is great as well!! Well I was so excited for the crab leg option and multiple flavors! The typical Cajun hot flavoring is really good and very hot but great for crawfish! I got the garlic medium flavor on my crab legs which was delish! So first thing is his crawfish came out very very quickly where mine came out like 15 minutes later. It's almost like they had pre prepped the crawfish and it was overcooked to prepare for the evening rush. His was soggy, and only a few normal to large size and half were really small. My crab legs were also soggy and couldn't even use the crackers to crack them......so it was actually really hard to even get open. Overall very disappointed! I was so excited to come here often, but my boyfriend won't even let us try it again. Why risk waisting over $80+ ? I read a lot of reviews that are similar, maybe management will start taking the reviews into consideration. read more

A friend of my took me there for the first time to have crawfish, although the food was great, the service was horrible. My friend ordered a crawfish soup first and asked for a side potato and corn, then I ordered 4 pounds of crawfish without sides. My order was ready first, then I started to eat it, which had a potato and a corn ( I didn't know that it was a side order, since most place comes with it), so when my friend's order came without the sides she asked for, she went to ask them and they said it was with my order, but I had already eaten the corn, so she asked for another side, since they mistakingly put on my order, but they refused to give her another side order. They simply went to my plate and took the potato away and asked me to pay my friend back for eating her corn. That was simply ridiculous, and I only didn't do nothing about it at the time because my friend's 87 year old mother was seating next to us. I think a business shouldn't lose it's customers for a corn and potato that cost them less than 25 cents. The food was great, the crawfish is very tasty, but the service is just horrible. read more

Cool concept with the writing on the walls but the pho wasn't anything to boast about. Nice to have free water but I would rather have homemade pho. read more

I purchased crawfish, to go, from this restaurant. After driving 1 hour there and 1 hour back, I finally opened up the bag and discovered that most of the crawfish had gone bad, with a rotten smell. Had this been just a few bad crawfish here and there, it would have been fine. However, most of the bag of crawfish had gone bad - because we were to-go customers, they decided it would be easier to screw us over by giving away the bad crawfish. Basically, if you eat there, you will get fresh crawfish. If you get it to-go, they will give you old rotten crawfish. read more

So Sorry, we will not be back for the crawfish. This season, we have tried Crawfish Cafe (good everything except the long wait for a table and a bit sweet on the seasoning), LA crawfish on Richmond (10-15% of the crawfish were dead, good taste though), And Cajun kitchen (overall good but $11.99/pound - ouch!). Unfortunately, Today was our first experience of muddy tasting crawfish - as though it was cleaned right. I know, they're called mud bugs; however, none of the other places we've tried this season have tasted like this. My wife has had issues with this place in the past regarding Freshness of the crawfish but she seemed to forget that since it's been at least 2 years since we've been back. Well, sad to say, for whatever reason just didn't taste right. The sauce is the standard for LA crawfish, good; however, we couldn't get past the muddy taste. Initially, our first batch was about 30 to 40% muddy tasting. We asked them what we could do and they offered to exchange for a better batch. The next one was better, larger, but 10 to 20% muddy. We didn't want to waste them so we just dealt with it and just decided to finish it off. And, of course, we felt guilty for bringing it up so we didn't bring it up again. Have they came and asked us how it was to follow up, I think things could have been one star better; however, they just kind of left it there, said "I hope this is better", and presumed hoped for the best. Well it didn't turn out the best. So, so far this season, the best taste has been Crawfish Cafe and Cajun kitchen. We will Never return to this location for crawfish. Sorry! read more

This was my first experience trying the shrimp-boil. This time I had the butter-garlic shrimp. I ordered 2 pounds, which translates approximately 20-22 shrimps. My wife and I shared the shrimp-boil and and it was plenty for both of us. The shrimp were well cooked and the flavors were good. It is very messy given that the shrimp is not peeled, so I it is better to eat it at the restaurant. I took it to go and made a big mess, but fun mess. I would try this place again and the other alternatives given for the shrimp-boil. The staff was very friendly and helpful when ordering. read more

I'm very disappointed with LA Crawfish. I haven't been here in a few months because how small the Crawfish have been, so I gave them till Crawfish season to come back. Now that I'm back the Crawfish are smaller than ever, they are not cleaned or purged. Come on guys! Get it together! I stopped going to your 34th location because if this! Sad to say but you have lost a loyal customer that would come in all year around! And also my whole family that visits year round like myself. read more

I've been here three times in one week. By far the best crawfish in Houston!! $5.99/lb. I love the extra spicy garlic butter crawfish. Delicious!! Beignet fries are great too. Definitely recommend this place. Oh yea, Yelp check in for 10% off total price does not apply for crawfish! read more
