Called in and ordered their wing and rice combo. It was ready very quickly. Picked it up and their servers are always very kind. The ambiance this location is located inside ranch market but still a pleasant ambiance and plenty seating. I ordered the sweet and spicy wings and they were very good! The rice is amazing some of the best I've had in Houston

I stopped by LA Crawfish inside the 99 Ranch Market and overall had a good experience. It's counter service, so you order at the register and grab a seat, which makes it easy and casual. The ambience is laid-back and lively overall definitely a solid spot to hang out with friends, especially if you're already shopping at the market. Customer service was friendly and efficient, and the line moved pretty quickly. The food itself is pretty good it's flavorful, well-seasoned, and served hot. You get that classic LA Crawfish taste that hits the spot when you're craving seafood. I will say it's a bit pricey for what you get, but honestly, the convenience makes up for it. Being able to grab a decent crawfish boil without making a separate trip is a big plus. Overall, a good, casual spot for a relaxed meal with friends.

Shrimp Po boy

I have not been here in about 10 years and now I remember why.. The garlic butter flavor was good however, The crawfish were 98% mushy texture.. I had maybe 3 single crawfish out of 3 lbs that were ok texture..This means they were dead before they were cooked. The shrimps inside the Po boy were good and the toast on the garlic bread was good as well but the sauce they put in the sandwich was in my opinion NOT tasty.. The Po boy did NOT have lettuce in it. The seasoned waffle fries were decent.. Overall the food was nothing special today..

2lbs for $10.99 in Feb

So disappointed, I'm so surprised! The flavor was the only thing that was good, but the crawfish were extremely small and they were $10.99/lb. They weren't that friendly, but I guess because it's byob...they don't have to be! It's been a while since I've been here and it did not meet my expectations.

$30 a pound for snow crab and this is what they give me. Inedible moldy crab legs, disgusting! Never again!

Magic Cajun rice

I took the magic Cajun rice with chicken and shrimp to go and despite it being ready quick it was a little flavorless and the chicken was very dry. Lots of space on the inside of the restaurant with many customers but from this dish alone I wouldn't come back.

Thai Tamarind Wings: Slightly sweet, very flavorful and delicious!

I only had the wings here, but after my experience, I feel that they should rebrand as LA Wings, Wings, and Wings! For as long as I've known my bf, he's raved about their wings, and now I finally see the light. All of the wings are HUGE and MOIST!! You can tell they're really good quality wings and they're perfectly cooked! They come in 6 or 12 counts, and as someone who usually eats around 10-12 at other establishments (with smaller wings), 6 wings here filled me up! I got 12 wings, and I had to refrigerate half because I was stuffed!! TAIWAN FIVE-SPICE BASIL: This is my bf's favorite wing flavor! If it was the only wing flavor he could eat for the rest of his life, he'd be ecstatic. He finally converted me. Out of the four flavors we got on this trip, this was my favorite! It was perfectly seasoned and left you wanting more of its complex flavor. JALAPEÑO ONION: I was very pleasantly surprised by this one. I would normally *never* order this in a million years because I really do not like jalapeño flavor and am pretty sensitive to it. I tried this out though because my bf got it and it was actually really tasty! The jalapeño flavor was very mild, in a way I've never experienced before, but still very tasty. I actually wouldn't mind eating these again, which is a huge compliment lol THAI TAMARIND: My bf and I agreed this was our second favorite flavor of the four. I have no idea what tamarind is supposed to taste like, and a quick Google search didn't help much, but this was definitely delicious! It was very flavorful, kinda sweet, came sauced instead of dry, and is definitely worth trying! SPICY GARLIC: I enjoyed this one, but it didn't taste spicy or like garlic. It tasted ambiguously seasoned. I considered the possibility that the garlic flavoring or the spice was accidentally left out, but it was still good so I didn't stress too much, just a tiny bit disappointed because I love and was expecting garlic.

Stopped by just for a quick dinner because this was in the closest Asian grocery store near us. Service was great, very helpful. The food was just okay. I like that they have a food challenge you can see the winners of on their wall. I had the shrimp poboy which was disappointing. I thought it came with a side of fries but the fries were in the sandwich and ended up soggy. The shrimp tasted vaguely sweet. There was no cabbage/slaw that I typically associate with poboys. The pho was good. I'd recommend that. The cajun fried rice was salty and really oily. It was hard to stomach because of the oil and salt. We took it home and tried to leave the oil out, which left a noticeable puddle in the bowl.

Awesome empanadas. They are delicious. And the sauce is so flavorful. This location is usually very busy and popular. Glad I came during off-peak hours

Their bánh khọt was crispy, sweet and savory, and went well with the fish sauce. Although the portions initally look small, they are very filling. The bò né was filling and sizzling when it came out. It also came with a side of salad. The meat was tender. I really liked the bánh khọt and would definitely come back for them. I couldn't have been more wrong. Xeo Yum (#1) as it turns out is one of the most legit Vietnamese places in Midtown serving up some of the city's best banh xeo and banh khot. Located inside of a Food Hall (#2) in the back corner, they have low-key become a destination and without question, the most popular stall in the entire place. The fan base didn't happen overnight but is a direct result of Chef Cuong Nguyen's commitment to quality Vietnamese fare. Banh Xeo is their signature item, which is also known as a sizzling crepe or pancake made of rice flour, tumeric, and coconut milk. The banh xeo holds well, is perfectly crispy, and is nicely stuffed with an assortment of beans sprouts, shrimp, and some of the best grilled pork belly I've had. Another specialty item that doesn't get enough mention is their banh khot, which is similar but has a mini muffin / cupcake like appearance made in a specialty cast iron mold. This version is wonderfully crispy and pairs perfectly with fresh greens and fish sauce with some funk. It is my favorite item here. Some have argued they also serve one of the best bo ne (#3), the Vietnamese version of steak and eggs served in a skillet. The chunks of beef are nice and tender with just a tad of char, served with two fried eggs, and a banh mi baguette with a mix of butter and spare. Normally I think of spam or sausage included with the meats, but Chef Cuong's spin is with cherry tomatoes. It's a different approach and I'm not mad at it. Folks not looking for this can shoot for bo luc lac, aka shaking beef, which is also recommended. The staff here is sweet, hard-working, and very friendly. They also make a mean Vietnamese coffee and offer free iced self-serve water. The prices are what I would expect in a Midtown food hall, and there's plenty of seating. Anyone checking out the food hall need to make Xeo Yum as part of their eating itinerary. __________ (#1) A play on the Vietnamese sizzling crepe, Banh "xeo" and yum" (#2) Previously the Conservatory and now Stestí Food Hall. When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. The restaurant is clean, the owner is very nice, and it's a nice low key space to just enjoy a good meal with friends or family.

Upon arriving, every table was taken except our table w a reserved sign on it. The restaurant was bustling, but I could still hear my husband over the music and noise. The menu is huge!!! I didn't know where to start. But our server, Vanessa, helped us make a few choices. We started off w bánh xèo tostadas, bánh béo, & carpaccio. Then we had calamari and their steak special. I asked for a side of papaya slaw for some veggies. My favorite dish of the night was the carpaccio. So many flavors perfectly melded together. Loved the crunch of the fried onions and peanuts. 10/10 dish, in my opinion. Authentic banh xèo usually has an airier, crisp crepe, but theirs was more crunchy - great for their tostada take. Very flavorful. Each piece had one shrimp, but plenty of pork belly bites. The nuoc mam drizzled on it was tasty. Fried calamari - this is a big dish for, I believe, $'19. I prefer the dipping sauce on the side so that the batter doesn't get soggy. This did happen here, but it didn't stop us from finishing every last bite. The green sauce was good, not the usual dipping sauce for fried calamari. Steak special - they have another steak dish on their menu, but this one was pepper crusted w smashed potatoes. The potatoes were super crispy and flavorful and the steak was perfectly cooked - a beautiful pink medium rare. The portion was huge and justified the $39 price point. The staple steak dish came with a papaya slaw and I had to have it. It was bright and limey - I can see why they serve it with their steak. Bánh beo - my least favorite of the night. A bit thicker than I like. Still good, but there were a lot of other great dishes that I could easily pass on this one. Try their hibiscus artichoke tea.

It was thicker consistency and had cilantro and chucks of lobster. The drinks served were also super balanced. We ordered the mojito and the dragon fruit cocktail. The mojito was the right balance between minty and sweet with just a hint of alcohol flavor. For the dragon fruit cocktail, it was very fruity, on the sweeter side but not overpowering and was topped with egg whites to give it a little bit of frothiness.
