Came here with a large group and it was an absolute mess from start to finish. Service was completely disorganized one of our orders was never even put in, so we sat there for over half an hour while tables that came in after us were already eating. When we asked for updates to confirm if the second order was coming out, our server kept saying yes, but it clearly wasn't. After that, our server was nowhere to be found instead of taking accountability and coming out to apologize, it felt like she was hiding in the back while we were left dealing with everything on our own. We had to go out of our way to track someone down ourselves and we were told the server had forgotten to enter the rest of my and my boyfriend's order. We had ordered two Cajun combos and Cajun fries, and somehow one of the combo orders was never put in at all. They offered my boyfriend a "free" beer and said we would get comped on his order, but when the bill came, nothing was comped at all we were still charged for everything, including the "free" beer. The food didn't help at all the shrimp was extremely overcooked & dry and the sauce was just oily and completely bland. Even my water tasted off, it was sweet, like the cups hadn't been properly cleaned, which was honestly concerning. Overall, this place is poorly run and clearly not equipped to handle even basic service. Between the long wait, lack of communication, nonexistent accountability, questionable cleanliness, and low-quality food, it was a complete waste of time. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else this place doesn't even meet the bare minimum. And if you do end up here, definitely check your receipt, because we were charged for things that were supposed to be comped! read more

We came here because other crawfish spots had long wait times and wanted to give this place a chance despite seeing the Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Several things went wrong throughout our dinner. When we first asked our waitress for appetizer recommendations, we actually appreciated her honesty--she told us that most of the appetizers weren't good and that only the fries were worth ordering. But then our service went downhill. Our waitress forgot a 5 lb crawfish order as well as another person's meal combo. On top of that she gave only one person half their order. Each time we asked for an update, we were told "5 minutes," yet we watched tables who arrived after us receive their food first. After waiting over an hour--while most of our table had already finished eating--the waitress stopped checking on us altogether. We eventually had to track down a manager/owner ourselves to address the issue. Instead of resolving it properly, we were offered a free beer and told our meal would be comped, but the final receipt still charged us in full. At that point, the damage had already been done and could have been handled much earlier. To make matters worse, the crawfish itself was gritty, and the bottom of the bowl appeared dirty, as if it hadn't been properly cleaned before cooking. Overall, the service and food quality were both very disappointing. We will not be returning. First off, we have been coming to this location for 5 years and have enjoyed the crawfish very much. Today we had a bit of a different experience. We hadn't been here in a long time and was craving crawfish. Not sure where to start, but there was so much that went wrong and then come to find out from the waiter, which we figured, they have switched ownerships. I think they're trying, but definitely there's a lot of hiccups and things they have to work through to have a successful restaurant, Considering all the restaurants in Houston that people have to pick from, not sure how long this location will last. They advertise live crawfish, the crawfish were dead/frozen. Not only did it take 50 minutes to get it, but they brought the order to us twice wrong and forgot half of what we ordered. At the end, they gave us a 20% discount, but we will not be coming here again unfortunately. I hope they figure it out! read more

By far, the worst experience I've had at any establishment. I've been a server and a manager in the food industry, so I understand mistakes happen. Table of 13, no wait time while other restaurants had 2 hr wait? Should've been our first red flag, but we wanted to give it a shot. Don't worry!! That wait time was made up with the wait for our food. Our server constantly defaulted to "5 mins" when asked where our food was. Our entire table got their food but 2 couples. It was obvious that the server forgot, because she stopped showing up to check on us. Either she got fired, or she was cooling off in the fridge for an extensive time period, because we didn't see her for the rest of the night. Management/owners stepped in to speak with us, and all we received were lies and poor excuses for accommodations. 2 hr wait and they had the audacity to offer 10% off the missing orders. They proceeded to offer us drinks, which they said they would "take care of us" and then charged us for them anyways. ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT, they then offered to just comp the entire orders that they missed because we were still very frustrated, WHICH THEY CHARGED US FOR ANYWAYS! So if you're looking for a place to just sit around and hang out with friends, but never receive your food. If you enjoy lies and deceit, this is the place!! Upon thinking where I was going to order Crawfish from, I decided to order from here on Saturday night. I called to ask the price and the sizes of the Crawfish. I was told $9.99 and medium sizes. I ordered 3lbs Wild Cajun Medium and a Sausage. I went to pick them up and was shocked to see only one person dining in at the bar. I was like, where is everyone... The guy came from the back and charged me for my order. I asked him where were all the customers, because it is usually packed, but he didn't have an answer for me oook... I got home and opened up my order, which was in a tin foil pan. There were lots of onions and green onions on the top. I discarded all of that so that I could get straight to business. Most of the Crawfish were small, alot of the shells were soft due to them being overcooked. A few were mushy, yukkk...There were only a few medium ones that I could count. The flavor was just ok. They could have used more seasoning. I ate the one that I could and discarded the rest. The highlight was the new sausage that they use. It was this jalapeno sausage. You get 2 4inch pieces for $5. Under new management. Food was meh. Boudain balls were 3/10, fries were soggy and cold out of the kitchen. Crawfish was decent, the spicy isn't super spicy which is fine. House special fried rice was just ok, your basic fried rice with a few pieces of shrimp and crawfish thrown in. The fish sauce wings and garlic Parmesan wings were 8/10. Service was fine, she checked up on us every once in a while Ambiance, the music was loud, not many tables in the restaurant so not sure why the music had to be loud. We could barely hear our conversation across 2 seats. Notes: they charge a mandatory 18% tip for parties 2 or more which they don't tell you about ahead of time (there were 9 of us). They also charge you a 3% surcharge if you use a credit card. Now, VISA policy states that the merchant is allowed to charge a max 3% surcharge but you have to disclose ahead of time, which they certainly did not. Ventured down to an old stomping ground to get a crawfish fix. After trying a spot nearby I had to go back to the staple I know, Wild Cajun is one of the best in the area! Parking/Interior For those unfamiliar, this location has plenty of parking in a shared shopping center space. There are plenty TVs with sports on and big tables for large groups all around inside. If outside is more your style, there is a patio, though it always feels neglected when I make a visit. Food/Drinks This place is a staple for crawfish and crab in Houston with plenty of seasoning options: garlic butter, Wild Cajun, lemon pepper, etc.Personally, I find the Wild Cajun flavor to be truly addicting. The crawfish are consistently large and packed full of flavor. They have plenty of options outside just crawfish. Fried seafood, fried rice, egg rolls, etc. I've had some of these in past visits with no disappointments, but I do come here for the crab and crawfish. They have beer by the bottle or bucket (5 or 10). Service They are attentive and always making sure you are doing ok. I've not had to wait long for much once requested, though notably the crab take a good bit to come out after ordering. Can't fault them here as it's just what comes with ordering crab. Cost/Prices Their cost is in line with what one may expect elsewhere. It isn't the cheapest, but not the priciest. Crawfish as of this review in spring 2021 was $7.99/lb, blue crab was $8.99/lb, snow crab was $22.99/lb, and king crab was $34.99/lb. Wild Cajun flavor may run you a buck extra a lb for the crab. Overall I've tried a bunch of spots around Houston for crawfish, but always manage to come back to Wild Cajun since they have a unique flavor that is hard to beat. In addition the service and atmosphere is great. Plenty of sports entertainment on tv to watch unlike many other spots. I will continually visit Wild Cajun each year while giving others a chance to claim a spot as one of my personal favorites. read more

The customer service is excellent here too! During my first dine in experience here, I loved my server who was the young guy with glasses, I believe he was the son. The restaurant space is exactly what I expected, the tables are covered in layers of plastic for easy clean up between patrons. The wait staff is very friendly. There was 3 of us so we started off with 6 lbs and told the waittress we would order more once we got halfway done - we wanted hot crawfish :) She said ok and she'd be back. So as it neared 6 pm, we wanted to get our order in before the happy hour cut off. I stop another waittress and told her we wanted to order 6 more lbs @ the happy hour price, she says it's already 6 pm - wrong it's 5:53 pm so she says she will get the waittress. Our waittress comes over and we put our order in and we tell her that we asked the other waittress and she said no problem, it would be @ the $4.99 price. She walks away and comes back and says that the register won't let her put it in bc it's after 6 pm. Ummm yeah bc you guys took too long to come get our order. So we opt to finish what we have and close out our tab. I The crawfish wasn't bad. They were decent size and spiced ok BUT the lack of service and questionable cleanliness is enough for me to NEVER go back which sucks bc I love CRAWFISH. After about 6 visits here it's time to put down a review. To get here, if your driving down Bellaire heading West (away from downtown) you will turn right on Wilcrest, it will be about 1/2 a mile on the right. You won't miss it because there is an empty lot on the right so there is not obstruction or business distraction to find what you are looking for. If you are driving on Bellaire towards downtown, turn left on Wilcrest, it will be on your right as well. Parking, on busy weekend nights you will find it hard to get parking up close but the best strategy would be to wait about ten minutes and soon one usually opens up, if not, you will most likely be parking on the grass or further away on the left side of the parking lot. When you get in, you usually are immediately seated. It can get loud here but it is tolerable. What you will notice are usually lower 20 waiters and waitresses that will come and take your order. Averaged, the service has been a 7 out of 10 depending of course on who you get. Something odd about this place compared to the other crawfish places that I have visited, they have sushi and saki here. It's not a bad thing, it leave open your choice if you do not want to indulge in the crawfish craze. Also on the menu are other comfort items like chicken wings (you get your choice of about 3 different sauces), there are clam strips, french fries and many other more. I think I posted up a few pics of what is on the menu to give you an idea. The prices are reasonable. Ok, the main thing, crawfish, you have your choice of the cut of the mill garlic butter and the louisiana cajun style with the spices. They both are VERY good so combine that with the decent prices and above average service you get here and you can understand why this place is always pretty busy. The interior reminds me of a Joe's Crab Shack with it's seafood themed wall and bar articles. The floor I believe is carpeted on one side by the walls that are raised up about two steps and below which I remember is cemented. Here is one of the places where they are not stingy on their lime, salt and pepper too, it is automatically brought to you when your crawfish gets there if not before, some places believe it or not practice the "don't give unless ask" approach. Just got off of work and want to meet a few buddies here? Here is your place, you've got your bugs, alcohol and the ambience. I came with a group of 20 coworkers for a company outting. A group of 7 of us showed up on time and the restaurant was pretty empty. The service was splotchy & our waitress had an attitude because she didn't want to split our tickets. She literally fussed at us and said there's a sign on the door with the rules. If you come here, look for the rules, like normal people do at every restaurant. Our food came out pretty quickly, but my order was wrong. As more people came in she eventually stopped caring to pay attention to details and the level of service just tanked. Did I mention she came to work in pajama pants? Pix should be attached. My friends and I walked in at 9:15pm on a Saturday night and were told that the wait time was approximately 40 minutes! The restaurant was packed and there were people standing around waiting to be seated, and all parking spaces in the lot were occupied! As simple as it is, busy restaurant means good food! So, the crawfish was fresh, and the garlic butter flavor was really good and flavorful. Fresh crawfish means suck the heads!! nom nom nom~ For appetizers, the sampler trio included fried mushrooms, fried pickles and fried jalapeno for only $6.99! Also, the fried seafood (fish filets, shrimp and oysters) and the fries were pretty scrumptious. As of date, crawfish was priced at $6.99 per lb., which I would consider reasonable and acceptable, and $4.99/ lb during HH (3-6pm). Service was good, too! Our server came over to our table every 10-15 minutes to check on us so as to make sure that her customers were happy! I'm giving this place between a 3 and a 4 star because there wasn't anything bad about it, it just didn't stand out to be amazing for me. I went there with coworkers for a team building dinner and it's height of crawfish season, so the haul is pretty amazing. We got to try the garlic butter and the spicy. I really enjoyed the garlic butter because it's mild and there's still a kick to it. If you're expecting no spice, you may be in for a shock then. The spicy is pretty darn spicy... Maybe my biggest complaint is that the corn, potatoes, and sausage (extra cost) aren't marinated in the same spices, so now I feel like I'm over paying for just boiled items. They just put it on the top of the bag, so there really isn't much flavor to it. I wasn't a big fan of the sausage either, it was more like a giant hotdog than a sausage. Anyways, the price is pretty good, only $6.99/lb when you can catch it. There's plenty of room to sit which is nice, and service is pretty decent. We had to wait around 15 min for our crawfish, but we also ordered maybe 50lbs worth. They give you aprons, but I'm not sure about gloves. I always bring my own though, just in case. We did try their beignets for dessert which were more like fries sticks rather than beignets...but the ice cream it comes with for some reason is pretty amazing. I guess that warrants the extra star to give it 4 stars. Overall, not bad, but like I said, not super amazing, but I'm giving it a 4 stars for the benefit of the doubt. read more

Crawfish review: I got 2lbs of crawfish for $8.99 lb. They were a mixed size. Still on the small side. A few big ones here and there but mostly medium to small. I got the wild Cajun flavor spicy and it was hot. Not necessarily so great flavor but they were packed with spice! I also got the turkey neck platter same spice. The sausage were good. The corn and potatoes were not seasoned so I used the extra seasoning provided on the table to add flavor. The customer service needs improvement. The waitress comes to take your original order and you have to flag wait staff down for everything else including beverage refreshment, adding to your order, and the check.
