After I found this restaurant I sent a text to my middle school bff and told her I found a new go to place for patties! She instantly responded, "Lunch there next week?" Ya Mon! Our lunch date was last Tuesday. The restaurant is very simple inside but the nicest Caribbean couple were there & greeted us like friends when we walked in. My island friend & got a booth, menus, & started to check out the menu. She ordered chicken roti, it sounded familiar but my mind was blank! She reminded me the chicken roti was a Caribbean burrito! The bread/tortilla is super soft, similar to Indian panan bread. Our food was ready & delivered quickly, then she says, "remember we need to eat this with our hands!" You tear off the bread, then use it to scoop up the jerk chicken curry inside! It was heaven. It was so delicious I couldn't stop eating. Then realized I didn't even make a dent in my roti. We both ordered patties to take home for our families. When it was time to leave our server thanked us for coming & asked us to come back again! We for sure will!!

Receipt says $40, my account was charged $44. They also gave me cabbage instead of plaintains. Jerk Chicken was old. Would not recommend or return. Shiesty business.

This place is so great, it gives off like a small family owned restaurant. Quiet and quant. The food is a straight 10!! Oxtails go crazy!!!! And also the guy who works there I believe he said his name was Chad and he is a sweetheart. Great service he came and checked on us and was so nice to my little girl! She thought he was cute lol. But I definitely do recommend this place for some gooooood great delicious food!!!!!

The most meaty curry goat ever! Very little bones

This is a very nice hole in the wall Jamaican restaurant. Probably not as recognizable as all the "others". But it was clean, service was excellent and swift!! No weird or dirty looks and insane long wait time like some other "Cool" places. Lmao. Oh...great parking. It's in a plaza. Now...the food. You will not be disappointed by their portions. Seriously. They don't even skimp on oxtails. And the goat??? I honestly felt like someone picked out all the bones. I was truly impressed. Now on to flavor. This is where they unfortunately fell flat and lost a star (almost 2). I think the chef is a bit too restrained when it comes to seasoning. Everything LOOKS as it should. But the taste for the curry goat and oxtails was bland. Very bland. If I closed my eyes and someone fed me...I'd have a hard time telling what I was eating. The Mac and cheese was a runny bland mess. I hate when people serve tasteless mac. It seriously tasted worse than the kraft deluxe pack. The yams were just ok. The rice and peas...not memorable. But that said, I got home and spruced it all up with my own seasonings and all was well with the world. Final grade: B- I'm not entirely sure if I'd return, despite the relatively high stars. I think I'd recommend them but with hopes that I just went on an off day for the chef. But besides flavor, everything else about this place was damn near perfect.

This place is SOOOO GOOD! I ordered the large order of oxtails with rice & peas, and Mac and cheese. It took about 10-15 mins to get but the wait was definitely worth it! The flavor of everything was ON POINT. It was served STEAMING hot. The oxtails were tender and delicious and full of flavor. This place is a small hole in the wall, not a lot of seating, but enjoyable for a nice, quiet and SCRUMPTIOUS lunch. Wishing this place all the success because it's sooooo goooood!

The jerk baked potato was very good. The plantains were cooked perfectly. I didn't love the Mac and cheese, the texture was mushy. I also didn't love the rice and peas, it wasn't as flavorful as I prefer. But the meats were excellent.

The food was amazing! I love it‼

This was my first time coming to the food truck park and I especially came because of this truck. The staff was so nice I really contemplated about this rating for this review, but when I think about the amount of money paid for my main entree and how I couldn't eat half of it and the spice levels didn't match my expectation, I came to this. A 3.5 would have been more accurate quite honestly but alas, yelp has its system. I ordered the bake and fried fish and the doubles. I asked for spicy on the doubles but they didn't taste too spicy - instead I used the sauce included on my bake n fish (possibly had some scotch bonnet peppers) and it was excellent. The bake and fish came as tacos - I don't think I realized that. It was good, but only two small tacos. The french fries were unfortunately burnt and therefore dry and inedible. I gave up on eating them. We were in a hurry, otherwise, I would have chatted with the staff about possibly getting some new fries. I would give this another try --I'd likely try a few other trucks first or at least have something to accompany my meal in addition to what I order from Krave.

Gotta admit the spiciness had my tongue tingling & my nose running but it wasn't overpoweringly spicy. Btw. I didn't request spicy, that's just how it came. Cabbage and rice & peas were tasty, standard accompaniments. My hubby got the curry goat and it too was very tasty but what got my attention was how tender the goat was! To me, the goat seemed just a little less spicy so the chicken spice level may be just how they cooked the batch that day. Upon entering, I thought it was just a takeout place because I didn't see any tables or seating. While waiting on my food, I discovered a whole other large room with seating, full bar & stage! So takeout or dine-in is definitely an option. It's a little bit of a drive for me but I would definitely return.

The young lady taking our order was really nice and patient, which I appreciated since it was my first time trying Trinny food. I ordered the curry chicken with fried rice and potato salad, while my friend went for the stew chicken with roti. Honestly, my plate was just okay. The chicken was a little dry and not as full of flavor as I was hoping. Now, the potato salad? That was the star for me. I could've eaten a whole container of it--I really wish I had grabbed some to go. My friend, on the other hand, really enjoyed her meal and said it was good. The space itself is nice and clean, restrooms included, which I always notice. Overall, I'd give the experience an 8/10

As I walked in, I was not greeted, and was certainly confused as I was expecting a restaurant. It was basically a bar / event space. You order at the bar. After mentioning that it was my first time and requesting a menu, they displayed the menu on the TV. The menu has no pricing, nor did the shelf with specialty items (i.e. caramel, currants roll, etc.). While I enjoyed the music, it was extremely loud for a Sunday morning breakfast. I got doubles and aloo pie to eat there. Sadly, neither one had flavor. I was so looking forward to a nice hot doubles with plenty pepper, and was truly disappointed. The aloo pie barely had potato. I ordered two Sunday lunch plates to-go. One was stew chicken & the other was BBQ chicken. Both were served with fried rice, macaroni pie, and potato salad. The stew chicken was dry. No sauce at all. The BBQ chicken, macaroni pie, rice, and potato salad were decent. I wouldn't say it's something I'd crave or go out of my way for again. Parking: Sufficient surface parking.

No sir. No ma'am…read more So I had my food delivered after hearing my cousin give such glowing recommendations of this place. I typically go to one and only one Jamaican restaurant for my cravings but he's a foodie so I decided to take him up on the offer. Wrong decision. Wrong road. Just wrong. Also I'm not understanding why service is always incredibly slow at Jamaican restaurants. Like, why is that a thing? You are typically waiting an extra 30 minutes past the ETD. We really need to tighten that up because it's annoying. When you're in the actual restaurant you're sitting at your table for a long long time. It hasn't changed when you order from delivery services either. This is a travesty. This are what I ordered: Pineapple ginger beer. 7/10 I see what it was trying to taste like but it just never really got there. Couldn't get the full pineapple flavor the ginger wasn't strong enough...it was a bit of a letdown compared to other brands I've had in the past. Jerk Tuscan salmon. 3/10 Now this right here? This should not be on the menu. There was nothing Tuscan about it. It was a huge creamy mess. The flavors were so off and fell that I couldn't even get through a couple of bites. I was so irritated because I really wanted some salmon and this just sounded cool. Alas...Very uncool. It's like they just put a bunch of creamy sauces together and hoped for the best. I don't want to knock a small business and especially an ethnic business and I'm not trying to, but I have to be honest. This was not a good first experience and it makes me not want to try this place again, unfortunately.

Overall, it was clean but had room for improvement. After seeing a bug in someone greens on a previous customer photo I couldn't get that out My mind but didn't allow that to deter Me from giving it a try. I ordered the garlic shrimp and jerk chicken. Both plates were fill and hit when received. Not the hot off the grill though more so like it had been prepared and rewarded. The shrimp were over cooked and tiny. The chicken was so dry and tough. I love gravy but there was way too much sauce on rice and chicken I think to mask the fact that it didn't appear fresh. The patties were good thankfully but for the money spent I couldn't have had My children's Jamaican grandma cook authentic jerk at home. Cabbage was meh and so was the plantain. I also ordered soursop which was pretty good. It had the nutmeg so it gave authentic Jamaican recipe. The only thing is the bottle top would not snap back on so once it's open you have to consume in one setting. It was not cold enough to do so and the place did not have ac. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. If You want to try it's located next to Lotus on Kirkwood across from the Walmart.

I tried the sauce and it was so flavorful and savory. Would definitely get them if I ate beef. Now that curry mash! O my goodness, I never had it before but it was so good. It's not just mash potatoes and curry. The onions, peppers and other fresh seasonings set it off and I would get it again. The plantains were good, soft and sweet. The steamed veggies were so good and sautéed perfectly. I don't like them cooked too long and they had the perfect bite. The rice and peas were also good. They went perfectly with the meal and the seasoning was on point. The chicken curry patty I could've passed on. The outside was so flaky and good! I never had a patty like that but it was kind of cold and I had already gotten the curry chicken and thats exactly what it taste like, just in patty form, although the curry chicken meal was better. The chicken curry was sooo good and flavorful. I got a roti skin to sop up my curry but didn't care for it to much. It tastes like its made with wheat flour or germ flour and was a bit too thick‍ no shade to them. To be honest, I'm a 'bust up shut' roti kinda girl and everybody's is different and that's fine. Now, if they made the roti skin like they made the Jamaican patty, I would be in business. I ate quite a bit and STILL had a whole meal to take home with me and was full after finishing it. When I see people of the culture eating their own food its a good indication to me the food is good. There were a couple tables with a few Jamaican's enjoying it. We went the Saturday after Hurricane Beryl so the lights in the dining area were out probably due to heat, which I'm fine with. It wasn't too hot or cool even without the air on. It was a good time. Next time I'm getting the jerk chicken
