I despise places that have things listed on the menu but when you get there, they tell you "oh I dont have any of that." How do not have two of the items I asked for. This is my 2nd time here and both times they have been without the same menu items. Guess thats a sign. Lol

Friendly lady, great food, excellent portions. I got a small, and have lunch for tomorrow!

I went in to order a to go order. The owners were very nice. They were out of jerk chicken (it was only about an hour before closing), but my 2nd choice was ox tails with rice & peas, cabbage, and a side of mac & cheese. They asked if I wanted a small or large and looking at container size it definitely had to be a small. (Portions are very generous.) The flavor of everything was spot on. The gravy with the oxtails mixed perfectly in with the rice & peas too... All in my total was just under $25 and for the quality and amount of food I got, I couldn't be happier!! If you're ever in the area it's definitely worth a visit!

This place is seriously a hidden gem! We had the jerk chicken and oxtails. The meat was so tender it fell off the bone as if it had been cooking for days. I can hardly ever finish my food but this day the only thing was left was the beef patty I ordered to go. Service was fast and food was hot. A must try if you love Jamaican food.

It's been awhile since I've had some good Jamaican food and found this gem in Rosenberg of all places. It's a small place in a shopping center. The server was very nice, I assume it was maybe an owner. The food was outstanding. We ordered large orders of oxtails and jerk chicken. They came with rices and peas(red beans) and cabbage. We also ordered ripe plantains and a beef patty. The portions are big and food came out hot. The only two things that I didn't care for was that it was warm in the place and I kept hearing the microwave going off while we were waiting for our food. Not sure what that was about.

I wanted to eat some jerked chicken because it's so good and this place was delicious. They had good music playing outside as well. I ordered the jerked chicken combo ($11) that comes with cole slaw and rice with beans/peas, as well as the chicken wings and both types of plantains - green and ripe. The jerked chicken was flavorful and the flavor oozed into the rice, which was tasty. The chicken wings were really good as well. I loved ending my meal with the fried plantains. I got both green and ripe to try them, and I don't have a favorite since they both have their place. The ripe ones were definitely sweeter and softer. Easy parking as it's located in a large strip mall area. Plenty of space for parking.

Staff was nice. Food was good. Limited availability on items as expected. Plates come with tasty rice and peas, bland shredded cabbage, and NO plantains. You must add them on. Looking forward to coming back to try more items because it's hard to find this type of food in the area.

Gotta admit the spiciness had my tongue tingling & my nose running but it wasn't overpoweringly spicy. Btw. I didn't request spicy, that's just how it came. Cabbage and rice & peas were tasty, standard accompaniments. My hubby got the curry goat and it too was very tasty but what got my attention was how tender the goat was! To me, the goat seemed just a little less spicy so the chicken spice level may be just how they cooked the batch that day. Upon entering, I thought it was just a takeout place because I didn't see any tables or seating. While waiting on my food, I discovered a whole other large room with seating, full bar & stage! So takeout or dine-in is definitely an option. It's a little bit of a drive for me but I would definitely return.

The young lady taking our order was really nice and patient, which I appreciated since it was my first time trying Trinny food. I ordered the curry chicken with fried rice and potato salad, while my friend went for the stew chicken with roti. Honestly, my plate was just okay. The chicken was a little dry and not as full of flavor as I was hoping. Now, the potato salad? That was the star for me. I could've eaten a whole container of it--I really wish I had grabbed some to go. My friend, on the other hand, really enjoyed her meal and said it was good. The space itself is nice and clean, restrooms included, which I always notice. Overall, I'd give the experience an 8/10

As I walked in, I was not greeted, and was certainly confused as I was expecting a restaurant. It was basically a bar / event space. You order at the bar. After mentioning that it was my first time and requesting a menu, they displayed the menu on the TV. The menu has no pricing, nor did the shelf with specialty items (i.e. caramel, currants roll, etc.). While I enjoyed the music, it was extremely loud for a Sunday morning breakfast. I got doubles and aloo pie to eat there. Sadly, neither one had flavor. I was so looking forward to a nice hot doubles with plenty pepper, and was truly disappointed. The aloo pie barely had potato. I ordered two Sunday lunch plates to-go. One was stew chicken & the other was BBQ chicken. Both were served with fried rice, macaroni pie, and potato salad. The stew chicken was dry. No sauce at all. The BBQ chicken, macaroni pie, rice, and potato salad were decent. I wouldn't say it's something I'd crave or go out of my way for again. Parking: Sufficient surface parking.

Being from St Croix island in the Virgin Islands, seeing the menu and taking in the smells of this place gave her memories of back home. Of course I was happy to indulge her request as it gave me an opportunity to try some handheld eats. First the beef pattie, pretty big and so savory with the meat melting in your mouth and the dough having a nice texture and crust. And then the saheena; OMG! It was my first time having this lovely pastry which is made of chickpeas, spinach, and caribbean spices. You'll be hooked on this after one bite. Texture was similar to a savory piece of cornbread. Of course I was very happy with this item. The girlfriend ordered a currant roll which had some sweetness to it with a flaky crust. I enjoyed it but not as much as I was scarfing down my beef pattie and saheena. They also serve traditional caribbean eats including jerk chicken, oxtails, bake & saltfish, and roti wraps. We noticed a lot of people place to go orders here and call ahead for pick up. There were several bags of eats waiting as we witnessed people roll in and pick them up while having small talk with the owners. All those items looked delicious and we plan to come back and try those out. We also talked to the owners for a bit, they're a husband/wife team who've owned/operated this place for a while. Super polite and gracious, they helped me navigate the menu and explained what the items would be like when I ordered. Sadly I could not get the Aloo Pie (sold out) but they assured me it's worth having and to come back and try it (which we will). Pearland is lucky to have this place here. Definitely recommend trying it out for yourself!

Both plates were fill and hit when received. Not the hot off the grill though more so like it had been prepared and rewarded. The shrimp were over cooked and tiny. The chicken was so dry and tough. I love gravy but there was way too much sauce on rice and chicken I think to mask the fact that it didn't appear fresh. The patties were good thankfully but for the money spent I couldn't have had My children's Jamaican grandma cook authentic jerk at home. Cabbage was meh and so was the plantain. I also ordered soursop which was pretty good. It had the nutmeg so it gave authentic Jamaican recipe. The only thing is the bottle top would not snap back on so once it's open you have to consume in one setting. It was not cold enough to do so and the place did not have ac. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. If You want to try it's located next to Lotus on Kirkwood across from the Walmart.
