Their food is so good, it makes you question everything you thought you knew. Also lots of imported Caribbean snacks and drinks! Just beware....... If you are not already addicted to Trinidadian food or haven't tried it before, eating here will start your addiction. You have been warned.

Thank god we found this!…read more After finishing our lunch at Wrap & Roll, we saw this out of the corner of the eye and decided to stop here as the girlfriend was looking for some caribbean snacks. Being from St Croix island in the Virgin Islands, seeing the menu and taking in the smells of this place gave her memories of back home. Of course I was happy to indulge her request as it gave me an opportunity to try some handheld eats. First the beef pattie, pretty big and so savory with the meat melting in your mouth and the dough having a nice texture and crust. And then the saheena; OMG! It was my first time having this lovely pastry which is made of chickpeas, spinach, and caribbean spices. You'll be hooked on this after one bite. Texture was similar to a savory piece of cornbread. Of course I was very happy with this item. The girlfriend ordered a currant roll which had some sweetness to it with a flaky crust. I enjoyed it but not as much as I was scarfing down my beef pattie and saheena. They also serve traditional caribbean eats including jerk chicken, oxtails, bake & saltfish, and roti wraps. We noticed a lot of people place to go orders here and call ahead for pick up. There were several bags of eats waiting as we witnessed people roll in and pick them up while having small talk with the owners. All those items looked delicious and we plan to come back and try those out. We also talked to the owners for a bit, they're a husband/wife team who've owned/operated this place for a while. Super polite and gracious, they helped me navigate the menu and explained what the items would be like when I ordered. Sadly I could not get the Aloo Pie (sold out) but they assured me it's worth having and to come back and try it (which we will). Pearland is lucky to have this place here. Definitely recommend trying it out for yourself!

They offer a variety of entrees that will keep you going back to try everything. I had the jerk chicken sandwich with the mac and cheese. The sandwich was delicious - I was expecting mostly meat, but there was corn and peppers that nicely complimented the chicken. The mac and cheese definitely had a little bit of a kick and also a bit of sweetness, so beware if you're sensitive to spice. Overall, all the flavors were delicious, The portions were definitely more than enough, and everything was reasonably priced. My order came out quickly, and they were very friendly! I have seen them delivering to various locations on UTMB campus, and they're also open to catering. Definitely come check this place out if you want to try some Jamaican food and support local businesses!

They were sweet and had a little spice to them. They weren't my favorite but my gf enjoyed them. 2. The Mac and cheese was good as always. It's different than other Mac and cheese I've tried and I can't exactly put my foot on it. 3. I got the curry chicken but I transferred it to a bowl because I didn't trust the styrofoam container. It comes with carrots and huge pieces of potato YUM! It was amazing and great portion size. 4. My gf got the curry chicken as well with rice and pease and cabbage CHEFS KISS 5. I got French fries as well- they were a different kind than last time I was there. I preferred the crinckle cut they had before but this was still good. Wish they were crispier. 6. From walking in this, this is literally the friendliest Jamaican restaurant I've ever been to. They were so great at describing the menu and informing us about when certain foods would be available (typically no oxtails on Mondays). PLUS they have BYOB karaoke on Fridays?!?! I haven't been yet but I'm in love qpewa Unfortunately I came on a Monday so I was conflicted because I am an oxtail girl through and through so this time I got the brown stewed chicken and jerk chicken plates which come with cabbage and rice peas. And the portions?!?!?!? Are definitely worth it (we got the large). The taste? Delicious. So yeah 5/5, I would quickly recommend!!!

It's much more spacious inside. Lucian's staff seem kind and hospitable, but communication among staff to the customers was lacking. Their menu doesn't just contain Jerky chicken and shrimp, they also have meat patties, Jerk burgers, chicken sandwiches, curry, wings, coco bread, pasta, fried chicken, fish dishes, curried potatoes, fried plantains, rice and beans, and other chicken dishes. They only serve one kind of soup, Red Pepper. Lucian's also serves oxtail and goat, but I personally REFUSE to devour that kind of livestock! The menu has affordable prices. Lucian's are sports fanatics, noted by their collection of flags and their TVs only shows sports. Yes, they also offer champagne and spiked sodas for those of you who drink (NOT me). They have a small stage inside for live music performances! Our food was excellent, but they were out of a lot dishes that day, and it wasn't busy at all! The staff accidentally overcharged my friend's order, so she had to go the front desk to straighten things out. Lucian's Caribbean Grill needs to focus more on time, management, organization, and communication.
