I was really excited about this place my friend talked it up greatly. It seems like it is a very popular place and well liked. The wait time was a little much but it was full of big groups to give them credit. Once we were sat down service was rapid and thorough. The Crawfish were huge but tasteless, you have to buy a pound of snow crab if that's what you wish to have and it was freezer burned and rubbery. The actual seasonings were great, but my biggest deal is the actual crab was not up to par for the price. Parking is also a little tricky since the parking lot in front is small. I would say give this place a go and figure it out for yourself. I definitely would just go for shrimp corn and eggs in the boil. read more

Started with a refreshing michelada while we waited for our order to come out. Crawfish & shrimp were alright, large but the medium spice overpowered the actual flavor of the house mix sauce so made them less enjoyable for us. Hands down my favorite place to get seafood. From shrimp to crawfish. This place does not miss!! I always go for the ragin Cajun. The mussels here are a great size as well! They have decent micheladas here. This place stays busy every time I come in. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Prepare to wait a little bit but not too long. Up to about 30 mins on a busy night. The wings are a good size. Fries are delish. The only thing that is a bit of a let down is the calamari. Everything is so hot and fresh when it comes down. This used to be on my favorite spots to come to but this was one of the WORST dining experiences I've had. We ordered dinner and specifically ordered my son a HALF basket (2) of chicken tenders. Our food came out, but 20 minutes later his tenders still hadn't arrived. After asking twice, they finally brought food out--but it was a FULL basket (5) that we never ordered. Then comes the real problem. When the check arrived, we were charged for the full basket. I told the server we ordered the half. Instead of fixing it properly, she asked for my child's plate back after he had already eaten from it. I watched her put on a glove, remove THREE tenders from my son's basket, take them back into the kitchen, and then return the basket to us with ONE tender left. This is disgusting, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable. Food that has already been served to a table--especially to a CHILD--should NEVER be taken back into the kitchen, let alone reused. The lack of basic food safety and professionalism is alarming. Long wait, wrong order, incorrect charge, and a shocking health violation. Management should be ashamed. We will never return and I strongly warn others to think twice before eating here. read more

Super rude staff. We politely asked for gloves since we ordered shrimp and were told no. We then continued to wonder and ask if the chef used gloves and if we can please use those. Was told Chef DOES NOT USE GLOVES???? We couldn't believe what we heard and no longer wanted to eat after receiving our food. When the manager came, we were treated even worse over our request for gloves. The manager then told us if we come back we'd be refused service, as if we would come back to a place with unacceptable customer service, unclean bathrooms, and no AC to help with the uncleanliness smell of the restaurant. I came in today and was greeted with the biggest smile by Walter. Already starting off on a great note, I can see today's experience being truly amazing. I was taken care of by Quoc today. His customer service was out of this world. He made me feel as if I'm being welcomed into his home to enjoy my lunch. Even though Quoc was my main server, the rest of the staff were just as friendly and attentive to my needs. I ordered 2 lbs of crawfish, 1/2 lb sausage, and a half fish basket. The crawfish were really good size today and plenty juicy. The sausage was really meaty as well. Great taste. Let me start by saying the service was great despite the fact that these guys stay busy! Like constantly. The lines are long if your ordering to go and they are long if your waiting for a table. So there's that. Now the food is ok and I'll get to that in a minute. But the prices are pretty good you get alot of food for what your spending. So that was good. Now for me and in my opinion the flavors we chose I don't think were the best for me. I've had way better crawfish at BBs Tex Orleans but to each his own right. The long lines must mean they have good food right so give it a try it may be something you like I am just not a big fan of their crawfish flavors. However they do have good sized mud bugs and shrimp I thought that was a big PLUS! That's why I find myself coming back for the 4th time because during crawfish season, there's no where else you need to go besides here. Their GENEROUS and SPECIAL Cajun seasonings puts them way ahead of the game amongst fellow crawfish vendors. You can't beat the flavor here. Or the heat! When they mean spicy, they mean SPICY. You get the true crawfish boil experience here. And by that, I mean they bring you the seafood by the pound, still steaming in double bagged plastic bags. There's no plates, no utensils. The table is your plate, and your hands are your utensils. You get a plastic bib to protect yourself and there's napkins. The crawfish were extremely tiny but I let it slide due to crawfish season started, however the flavors and textures are TERRIBLE. Mushy crawfish with no flavor is not something I enjoy. We got the House Special and Lemon Pepper crawfish as well as the wings, none were anything special at all. Everyone is always hyping this place up so I had to come see what it was about!! My bf & I came right when they opened, they're only seating on one side of the restaurant. They're not really social distancing the seats either so...idk....lmao We ordered snow crabs, shrimp, and crawfish! Ofcourse I know crawfish isn't in season, but ordered it anyways! It was okay, they boiled it in like plain water it tasted like. We got everything in the "house" special medium. The sauce is pretty good! Crawfish was okay, it's frozen. The shrimps were amazing! Cooked to perfection. Would eat it again 100%! The snow crabs were SOOO SALTY! like, not the sauce, but the snow crab meat itself! My bf and I couldn't eat it anymore, we tried to like dip it in lime...it was just super salty...we ended up sending it back :( (sorry) normally, we would be able to take up really salty food, but if it's to the point where we can't eat it, we just can't. I get to my house get a huge bowl and put the shrimp in it! And there was 2 dead fly's inside the shrimp bag mixed in with the sauce!!! I called LA fisherman to complain and manager said they did not care about the fly being in there. I dint even get a apology from management. They told me they wanted the shrimp bag back to weight it! Before giving me any refund or any kind of credit back. For this I would be complaining to health department!! Place: In the same plaza as Viet Hoa and there are a couple boba places there so you can walk off the meal/wash it down (trust me your stomach is going to need it) Service: Pretty good considering how packed they get, not the most upscale place but that's good so you can put full attention towards your food. Food: Amazing and fresh, everything even the fries come out piping hot. We got the house special (vietcajun) crawfish, cajun crawfish, and garlic butter shrimp, all medium spice which were amazing. We also got an alligator basket- the alligator was a bit tough, cajun fries that came with it are amazing dipped in the leftover crawfish sauce. That wasn't enough for the 5 of us given how delicious it was so we got extra fries, and then another order of crawfish- spicy this time. Worth the wait. We reached about 10 minutes after it opened and had to wait a few minutes, but the wait after us was around 30 minutes to an hour. My friend and I ordered 3 pounds of the crawfish with the House Special seasoning, and an order of the green mussels with the House Special seasoning (comes with 12 mussels). This is hands down my favorite crawfish restaurant in h-town. The seasoning is SO flavorful and they do not kid around with the spice level! The seasoning was baked so well into the mussels. For the wait, I was expecting a lot more. We ordered crawfish and requested the house special flavor (claimed to be all flavor choices mixed in), but trust me there's nothing "special" about it. I have to say this was one of the most bland tasting crawfish I've ever had. Perhaps it was so busy, the flavors did have time to soak in, but honestly all I could taste out of it was like an oily butter. Not good.
