The beer is good, and the Salmon burger was really excellent, a nice hunk of fish to justify the $18, and the hefty battered fries were really great - I don't usually like thick fries, but these worked well. We had stopped here on the way to the Tulip festival. It was really busy and we had to wait 15mins. We were seated outdoors in a shedded area with portable heating systems. The location had nice indoor and outdoor seating. The customers can see their food being prepared and had a wooden stove. After getting seated our food took 20-30mins to arrive. The salmon burger and chips were very good. The salad was basic. A large salad was 12 and the salmon/chips were 18 or 19. The prices were reasonable but the wait is what made the ratings low for me. They did not have any parking near the location and we ended up parking in a neighborhood by this location. read more

It's always agonizing for me to leave a less-than-stellar review, but my recent lunch experience at LCB was pretty disappointing. It was a weekday and some friends and I had gone to see the tulips, and sauntered into La Conner looking for some grub and a cold beer. We seated ourselves on their pretty outdoor patio and reviewed the extensive beer list posted on the wall. The server took awhile to arrive (I get it, busy time of day) and brought us some food menus while she got our beers. My friend and I ordered prime rib dips and our other friend ordered the Greek pizza. We sipped our beers (I loved their Brown Ale and my friend enjoyed her IPA) and reminisced about all of the amazing tulips we'd just seen while we waited for a food. The pizza arrived first, soon followed by the prime rib dips. I was a little surprised at how little meat was on my dip (the bun-to-beef ratio was definitely heavily weighted toward bread) but I was hungry so whatevs. As the server delivered the sandwiches she noticed that the Greek pizza my friend had ordered was missing a key ingredient: prosciutto. She she quickly whisked the pizza away to fix it. Meanwhile I bit into my sandwich and noticed it tasted a little funky (as in, a slight taste of moldy to the bread). I wasn't sure, though, so I took another bite. Yeah, definitely moldy although I couldn't see any actual mold on the bun. I mentioned it to my friend who had ordered the same sandwich, and she took a good look at her bun and spotted a couple of definite moldy spots. We waited for our server to return with the prosciutto-enhanced pizza and let her know about the bun issue. She said "oh, I'll have them re-make the sandwiches with fresh buns." I wasn't super excited about the chance of getting another moldy bun, so I asked if she was sure there were non-moldy buns available. She said yes, they had a nice fresh batch of buns and that these first sandwiches were made with "old" buns. Ugh. Kinda lost my dip groove at that point but - again - whatevs. And she didn't even ask if we would prefer to order something else anyway. We watched our friend eat her pizza (she gave us each a slice - it was tasty!) until our fresh-bunned dips arrived. They were still a little light on the meat, but the buns were (yay) not moldy. The accompanying salads were fresh and crisp, too. Soon our server returned with our checks and I guess I was a little shocked that there was no accommodation made for the moldy bun experience. It was a $15 sandwich after all - even taking 10% off for our trouble would have been a nice gesture. Next time, I'll order the pizza. read more

This has been one of my go to places for when I hike around the Skagit with my dog, go birdwatching, or even after truffle hunting. I've been coming here for over 10 years, and mainly for the woodfired chicken wings. I was a disappointed when they got a deep fryer, and went away from the marinated woodfired chicken wings. Evidently the sauce is the same, but it's an entirely different and more normal style chicken wing. Hopefully they will bring back the original, unique, and healthier chicken wings one of these days. Just a very mediocre place. I think the Ambiance is nice. The food was eh okay. Over priced for what it is. We were served cold fries with our $20 prime rib sandwich and $18 burger. But our waitress knew because she brought out a bowl of hot fries five minutes later. The beer was not tasty. The service was friendly enough but not overly. I got the wings, get the f***ing wings my golly they were a 10/10. I also got fries on the side, they are a bit funny looking but my god they were very tasty with some ketchup. The service was great very friendly they thought my sister was my girlfriend but the food allowed me to ignore that. They had televisions to watch sports on and a solid bar. Overall this place is a great place to go after a day crabbing/fishing/or walking around town. I was in LaConner to babysit my grandson while his parents went to a wedding. I asked the front desk to recommend a sandwich place in walking distance. After a short wet walk we strolled into La Conner Brewing. I ordered the Salmon Sandwich to go after being greeting kindly by the staff. I was offered three choices for sides; fries, salad or soup. I got the Thai chicken peanut soup! I was invited to sit down at a table with my massive baby stroller and could not have been better accommodated. The atmosphere was lively and cheerfulI, a busy Friday evening. love Salmon but this sandwich was next level. Maybe the best I have ever had! The bun was a dense multi grain toasted to perfection with aioli that complemented the grilled salmon with out being overbearing! Just enough creaminess to give the delicious fresh salmon a "finger licking" rating! The soup was enough for another meal but I could not put it down. The kids devoured the pizza, and we split the chipotle cream clams- they had pretty good flavor. I wouldn't waste my time again with the chowder. No green peppers on a pizza?! The menu looked like it offered some great options, with a decent beer selection and a few ciders. If you're looking for a great cider, try the Strawberry Rhubarb - you won't regret it! The food was pretty good, service was fine, and was busy and packed. We visited on a hot summer weekday for a late lunch. My daughter loved her Caesar, and I had a side garden which was basic, but fresh. We split the "Buffalo" wings, which weren't the slightest bit Buffalo, but were still really tasty. They were more bbq/ginger, and they were fairly moist. My wife was happy with the pork tacos. Awesome town, decent beer. Food was bad. We split the wings and a cheeseburger with fries. The wings were very generic albeit with an interesting flavoring. The burger was overcooked with what tasted like canned mushrooms on a very dry and flaky bun. The French fries were burnt, which is bizarre, I suppose the line cook just looked at them and assumed, "good enough." My wife and I stopped in here for a brew and light lunch after shopping in the darling town of La Conner. Free street parking can be found. Visa and MasterCard are accepted forms of payment. Establishment is family friendly. A small outdoor seating area is offered for the warmer months. Happy Hour is offered Monday-Friday from 4pm-6pm. Beer and cider selections are listed on the walls on large black boards. My wife and I each ordered a pint of ESB for $4.25 each. Served cold and tasty. We didn't want to get full here so we ordered lightly. We shared a cup of Clam Chowder with Focaccia bread for $6. We both enjoyed the tasty hearty chowder. We also shared an order of Chips & Salsa with tri-color tortilla chips for $6. We opted to add guacamole for and additional $2. The salsa was lacking for me. Tasted more like a store bought roasted salsa rather than homemade. The staff was friendly and efficient. Thank you La Conner Brewing for whetting our whistles. We randomly stumbled upon this town after returning from Deception Pass. The inside is so cozy and cutely decorated. The staff was very attentive and kind. We enjoyed our delicious food. We went to Skagit County for the tulips with our adult kids and grand children who moved up here from Texas and decided to go have lunch here in La Conner afterward. The place is small inside with small tables and was packed. If you have a party of 5 or more you probably won't be able to sit close together. They do have a couple picnic tables outside in the front so our party of 9 were able to be seated there. The service was a little slow but it was very busy and the staff were super friendly so all things considered I wouldn't mark them down for that. We had a variety of food and everyone enjoyed their lunch with no complaints. I had the Black and Bleu Burger and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend that if you are into Bleu Cheese and bacon on your burger. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich and it was also very good. Overall an enjoyable experience and I would recommend you try it if you are in town. read more

Good thing there was some sour cream and salsa to eat with the dry chips. $13.50 for $1 worth of ingredients is hard to swallow. Hamburger with brie was good but small. Beer was good.
