Spicy fig jam goat cheese flatbread. Bury me with that happened on this place accidentally for date night and it was so good! We had the spicy fig jam goat Brie prosciutto flatbread, the sausage mushroom kale hand pie, the storm king sandwich, and the dessert danish. All were super delicious and quality ingredients but that flatbread I'll be dreaming of from now on. I don't think I've ever thought twice about a flatbread before shout out to our server for recommending it Italian rustic vibes and just a fun new spot to check out

Food was fantastic and interior was gorgeous. Good music. The ponderosa flat bread was terrific.

The house lemonade was also top tier, which I didn't expect but definitely appreciated. Service was quick, and everyone working there was genuinely friendly without it feeling forced. The interior is simple and delicate, which made it feel calm and comfortable. Breakfast itself is pretty straightforward, but honestly... breakfast is breakfast. It was exactly what I wanted in that moment, and the overall experience is what made it stand out. Would absolutely come back.

They had to change the syrup for my soda, which took almost 15 minutes. When my soda arrived, it wasn't diet but the sugared version. No attempt made to fix this. When my meal arrived, the scramble ordered with egg whites only had bits of egg shell. I'm not sure how they got there, but it was I little like Russian Roulette as every third bit or so contained a tiny little egg shell piece. It was off putting. The potato hash accompanying the egg shell scramble was too greasy to have. Combine this food with a slightly combative server and you get a terrible and, in my case, unforgivable experience. Zero things went well and all of them went poorly. Breakfast for 2 was 60 bucks plus tip, and it's money I've invested in learning how much I do not care for Chestnut Cottage. 0/5, do not recommend

They were perfectly fried with a crunchy exterior, all heightened by a lovely drizzle of honey. 5/5 Fried Chicken Sandwich - This sandwich was a monstrosity! If I were Sasquatch, I'd still be full after eating this. They practically put two fillets into one sandwich. The breading was flavorful, and the chicken was incredibly juicy and tender. I definitely appreciated the generous portion size. 4/5 Ahi Tuna - Deliciously fresh and simple. The tuna was lightly seared and served sashimi-style with a perfect rare interior. Being so close to the ocean makes you appreciate how fresh seafood can taste, and they deliver that here. It's lightly dressed with soy sauce and citrus to bring out the natural flavor of the fish. 5/5 Service & Atmosphere - The service was great, and we were seated quickly. Our waiter knew the daily specials by heart; he was quick yet succinct in explaining what the restaurant specializes in. I really enjoyed this place!

The bartenders are true mixologist and even have non/ alcoholic cocktails and 25 specialty bitters (dry jan anyone?) I enjoy all their appetizers every thing from, seared ahi tuna, bacon wrapped dates (you get 4 per order), crispy brussel sprouts are crack, they are so good. (balsamic vinegar goodness) Menu is somewhat small but they have a great Chicken sandwich that is perfection in crunch, best batter Ive had (since Oak in Seattle. I think it originally was the sister to Spruce but changed owners.?) The other star dish is pork schnitzel, tasty all around and I love the capers, the red cabbage side, it's not too big, so you can finish the meal. (which is perfect as I don't think it would carry well to reheat due to gravy) I can't forget to compliment the service. Our waiter checked on us often, gave suggestions when we asked, water always was refilled which we appreciated so much. Service is lost nowadays but not here! So come here for a small plate and specialty cocktails or craft beer night or a full meal. The only underwhelming item was the side of fries that come with the sandwich was meh, but they do have decorated ones you can order as side that might be more tasty.

By some small miracle, we secured an outside table. The hostess put up an umbrella to spare us from sunburn while we ate. It took a while for our server to appear, but once engaged, things were speedy. Our server was super friendly and took great care of us. The pub dip was calling my name. The sandwich was a good size and tasty. The meat was cut thicker than I like, though. Also, I paid a $6 upcharge for a side salad that was served in something not much larger than a ramekin. The salad was very fresh and enjoyable, but there wasn't enough of it. My wife went with a smash burger and was thoroughly disappointed with it. Her burger was served cold and just seemed like patties from a grocer's freezer. There were high points. My daughter's Westsider (BLT) sandwich was enjoyable. And we all mooched off her yummy side of fries. Also, her husband's albacore tatami looked and tasted fantastic. Service was fantastic. Our meals were hit or miss, and for the steep prices on the menu, disappointing overall.

A few things to correct your comments: - there were three tables were seated following me and they all got the dishes before me. One table with couple, one with four people and one at the counter. - the note I put on was not to the waitress blunt to you. I said specifically " lady with black shirt". Your tone made me felt that I shouldn't check what is my order status after 30mins wait. We came in around 9:30am Saturday and ordered traditional breakfast with French toast. Waited over 30mins, the later customers all got their dishes and next table finished theirs. When the waitress was checking with kitchen for us, a lady with black shirt came and said: "it normal wait for 30mins and you are 25mins now, still five mins to go". I am a bigger supporter of local small business, but I would appreciate if they can let me know when we arrived that waiting is 30mins after ordered. I still gave 15% tips as I can see the sorry face from the waitress - I normally pay min 20% for small business. I also noticed that we were the only Asian table during that period.

Fish was alright and the steak was very overcooked. Honestly nothing against the server, they were very kind. Just either wasn't their day, they felt overwhelmed, or they were knew.
