    Taco Tuesday
    Carol H.

Oasis is one of our go-to places. Good menu selection, generous portions, reasonable prices, casual vibe. Service is not super fast, but it's fast enough. They have Daily Specials, my favorites are Taco Tuesday and Prime Rib Friday (after 4 pm). The Burgers and Wings are pretty good too. I'm not a big fan of their Banh Mi sandwich or Korean BBQ appetizer, they were too salty for me. The Bar is open til midnight Sunday - Thursday, til 2 am Friday & Saturday. The Kitchen closes at 9 pm every day. There is a charge for credit card use.

We love the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich. The fries are great also. Very good customer service. They have live music every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, starting April 8th, '26 and going through the summer. Dean Ratzman performs on keyboard, trumpet, trombone, and sings. He does Neil Diamond songs along with Jazz standards, 60's and 70's rock and soul, and his originals.

The side salad I ordered that came with no dressing. I find this disappointing.

My wife and I ordered food to go, I asked for blue cheese dressing on my side salad, she asked for ranch dressing for her fries. Neither sauces were included in our meals. And we waited for almost forty five minutes! The noise levels were so loud! The music from the live band seriously felt and sounded like 170 decibels to me-twice the OSHA limit for work places and the noise limit that human hearing can tolerate before hearing loss ensues. This establishment should be audited for noise levels in my opinion. I have diagnosed hearing loss and I am concerned that the noise levels may be too loud for the hearing of other customers.

Comfortable and lively place with pool tables and dart boards, and the best onion rings I've had! Pleasant waitress and plenty of menu options. The ruben sandwich was good, also was dip. The cubano less successful. A load of roasted pork, that in Itself was tasty, but that's all I could taste. The bread fell apart and I had to eat it with a knife and fork. That said, I'd definitely go back and try something else.

What a fun place in downtown Sequim! There was a band playing when we walked in so we found a couple chairs at the bar so we could hear them! Such a great vibe here! It was wing Wednesday so we tried traditional hot wings and some garlic parmesan wings. Both were delicious! All the servers were friendly and personable! We will definitely be back!

This is a great, friendly bar with fantastic food. They have live music Friday, Saturday, & Sunday.

We absolutely LOVE the prime rib on Fridays! Get there early because their prime rib sells out! The large cut is BEST. Enough for a great meal and then I slice the leftovers for a steak salad the next day! We recently heard that they are selling this place! Hoping the food will remain stellar in the future as well!

Great little hole in the wall spot for lunch! Service was prompt and very friendly. Food was great-- sandwich bread was VERY nicely toasted which meant no sad, soggy sandwiches! Our server was Megan and she did a great job! Bathrooms were very clean :)

1 overly cooked and highly greasy fish and tots.

Ask the Community - The Oasis Bar and Grill

Do they still have ribs on Wednesdays? They used to be very good but the last time I was there they weren't. They were hacked up, for one thing and you'd get little pieces of bone?

We no longer have ribs on Wednesdays. Unfortunately the consistency was becoming an issue from our vendor.

How much is the prime rib special?

I didn't know they served prime rib

After a first attempt where a restaurant's hours were not updated, we found Stymie's in Sequim. It's one of the restaurants at Cedars at Dungeness golf course (the other one is Double Eagle Steak and Seafood). It seems to be the more casual of the two options and we opted for it since we were in hiking clothes. The hostess told us we could walk in and try to find a table. She warned us it might be a long wait. Thankfully, we found a place to sit right away and a waiter gave us waters and a menu. We ordered cups of clam chowder to start. Thankfully they were out quickly. We got drinks while we waited for our food. The Dungeness crab Mac and cheese was listed as an appetizer, so we assumed it was a small portion. My husband got the fish and chips and I got pasta with shrimp. We got our entrees first, so we thought maybe the waitress had forgotten we ordered the Mac and cheese since they were so busy. She then apologized for the wait and said she'd be bringing it out shortly. We weren't planning on asking about it because their portions are very generous and even though we were hungry, we realized it was so much food. When the Dungeness crab Mac and cheese finally came out, it wasn't in a small cup, it was a whole bowl of delicious goodness. The Mac and cheese was resting in some sort of sauce and they were extremely generous with the crab. I loved that you could control the ratio with each bite. I wish I had taken pictures of the menu and its description, but all you need to know is that it's the BEST Mac and cheese I've ever had. I was floored that it wasn't mentioned in any review nor pictures. Maybe it's a new addition. Don't walk, RUN if you're nearby. You won't regret it and it will be worth the wait. I forgot all about my entree and just focused on the Mac.

Ordering is usually done via QR code, but they are also happy to orders at the register. One thing to note: on our visit, the restaurant left the front door open and didn't turn on heating so we found it rather cold inside. Clam Chowder in Sourdough Bread Bowl ($14) - Salty Girls has one of the best preparations for chowder bread bowls I've encountered. They expertly hollow out the center as much as absolutely possible, leaving maybe only half an inch of bread on the sides (I think they use the trimmings to make their homemade croutons). This allows them to ladle in the maximal amount of clam chowder, much more than most I've had in the past. While I believe the bread is some commercial one, it has a distinct, but light, sourdough taste and doesn't have the overwhelming taste of stabilizers and preservatives that some bread bowls run into. It's toasted very nicely, giving a fantastic crust, while the interior bread remains light rather than dense, yet holds up to the chowder well. The chowder itself is pretty good. It's thickened, but still just runny enough to not feel like it's been over reduced. Not clumpy or super heavy as some other chowders. There's a strong herbal quality in the mix, combined with large pieces of clam and bacon. The amount of clam isn't very generous, but there's enough of the chewy mollusk to get at least a piece per spoonful. Lots of tender diced potato chunks complete the chowder. There's by far the most potato in terms of ingredients in this dish, making it very carb heavy. The chowder is served steaming hot and remains quite hot for a long while even in the cold air of the restaurant. (4/5) Crab Melt ($18) - Interesting open faced sandwich, with the crusty heel portion of a ciabatta roll, toasted until crispy on the flats, but still softer on the interior, albeit thin. It's topped with an ice cream scoop of crab salad. The salad is essentially tuna salad with the crab substituted for tuna. This means there's a ton of crab and not much filler - plenty of sweet shreds of crab meat, mixed with a couple of crunchy pieces of celery in a creamy sauce. The crab salad is then topped with cheese, then the entire creation is broiled until the cheese on top becomes bubbly and the cheese that flows down the sides of the bread becomes essentially a crunchy cheese skirt. Something to note, not necessarily a negative, is that the center of the crab salad scoops remains cold, which is in stark contrast to the warmed exterior. The dish comes with a side of ridged kettle chips. Robustly crunchy, simply salted. Surprisingly good to dip into the clam chowder in fact. (4/5) Salty Girls definitely serves some good seafood dishes. I certainly wouldn't mind returning the next time I'm in Seqium. Staff super friendly, sadly like everywhere else the prices have risen greatly over time. Hubby ordered the classic Eggs Benny w/ fries instead of hash browns w/coffee. I ordered Eggs Benny Country Style on a croissant instead of muffin. Each were a whopping $20.50! (For an old school cafe that's high.... if it was a fancier water view place or maybe a fresh crab or salmon Benny sure.) Mine came with their grated potato pancakes. I asked about the sausage gravy since it came with a mushroom sauce so she brought me a small side but realized later was charged 3.25. They advertise their bacon as premium thick sliced from Seattle butcher, hickory smoked weighing over 1/2lb for 4 slices (9.00) it was good but honestly looked and tasted like a standard good bacon. We were expecting something more like decadent crispy pork belly for the price and description. Hubby enjoyed his meal, but eggs Benny should have a soft yolk and both of ours were cooked past that. Our server was so sweet we didn't want to complain. Coffee $5 but was good blend and ended up buying a bag they offer at register for $12 from local roaster down the street. My meal was good.... but unsure about the mushroom sauce and I love them. It was like this underlying slight sour taste that kept me from really enjoying it. The potato pancakes were different from what I recall. I thought they were more like latkes with a crispy potato taste/texture but these are so finely grated that you can't even detect they are shredded potatoes. It was more like a super thin buckwheat flavor to me, unique but was good with the yummy applesauce & sour cream. I ordered a Bloody Mary $12.50 was flavorful didn't feel any alcohol but fine. We enjoyed our meal for the most part, couple of slight disappointments but the prices are so extreme I don't know how people can afford eating breakfast here. Our bill with tip came to $90!!!! That's just crazy. I saw on the menu the price for side items like $4.75 for ONE EGG??? $5.95 for TOAST??? Wowza, Sorry but it just takes the enjoyment out of dining. That's just being greedy to your loyal customers.
