    Dog friendly cool country cafe!
    Tom R.

The menu and food is so good...that I checked out at the counter and forgot my computer at the patio table where we were also allowed to have our dog - Phineas! Honestly, both of our lunches were exceptional, the server and the service were great. We were on a six week summer vacation visiting many restaurants and arriving from Victoria Canada, at this cool cafe. We drove off to Palm Springs bragging about the food and service and realized three hours later, no computer...But Manager Savanna and her wonderful team went - way out of their way - to arrange for my computer to be sent to my home. Now that's Class and America at its best! Thanks, Savanna!

We had been wanting to stop into this cute little cafe for a while and the timing was never right-'to think of all times o could have had the BEST fish and chips ever! I kick myself. We both ordered the fish and chips (3 generous portions of cod) and it did not disappoint. The fish is dipped into a tempura batter that is light and crispy in a delicate way that does not over power the fish. The waffle cut fries and seasoning was so good! A stand out star was the coleslaw that is dressed for each order so it's crunchy and fresh (anyone who loves coleslaw knows this is a pro move ). We would have loved to order dessert but we were stuffed! Highly recommend! Ambiance is casual and our server Megan was a Delight!!

Old Mill Cafe is a staple in town that I waited forever and a day to try. Sent with a good old fashioned burger loaded with blue cheese and bacon along with some waffle fries. Burger was juicy and fries were crispy. Everyone in our party was satisfied. Service was quick and friendly for a large party of 7. Great place to hold meetings or for family gatherings or outings if you are looking to eat out in the town or on the road if you are heading to Forks or Lake Crescent. Ambiance is small town cozy antique hunting vibes. There are fun things to peek at throughout the restaurant on the walls and along the hallways. I've heard the prime rib is outstanding. Will be back for that one day.

    Steak, mash, broccoli

I was expecting more than what I experience. First of all , I didn't knew that I had to make reservations to dine in (which was not on their website). I came from 3 hours away and by the time I got there they told me I have to wait 30 minutes because I didn't call to reserve a table. After 30 minutes of waiting the lady told me I had to wait another 30 minutes because there was no space, after waiting for almost 1 hour I approached the person in charge pointing that there was several empty booths, which she replied by saying that they were reserved . I have to mention that no one sat in those booths for a couple hours.. I pretty much wait for an hour and a half. Don't get me started on the food, I order steak, mash, broccoli and that meal was the smallest meal I had for the amount of $60. Can you believe it for the small steak. Steak has flavor but just really dry. Mash potatoes is really bland and also was the broccoli. Don't waste your time going here, it isn't worth it.

We hoped to go here for dinner yet due to time constraints and scheduling, we went for breakfast as either way we wanted to ensure a visit. The interior is fun, with lots of nods to a former logging mill and the logging culture of the area. The food is homestyle cooking with menu items like biscuits and gravy. There was some confusion over what one of us ordered, as two menu items are slightly similar - the chicken fried steak and the chicken fried cubed steak sandwich. We had order one but got the other. That was fine. Everyone enjoyed their food - the breakfast potatoes in particular were crisp and yummy. Service with a smile.

    BLTCA sandwich & torte

Had the BLTCA ( bacon lettuce tomato cheddar avocado ) it was amazing!! For dessert I had the gluten free chocolate torte & it was delicious. I'm definitely coming back, thankyou!

I see the fish & chips are highly recommended. Are the chips actually chips (Fries) or did I see waffle fries? There is a difference between the two.

They're waffle fries. I asked if I could get regular fries and the waitress said no.

It was sweet and buttery so I didn't even need to add syrup or butter to my French toast! Vegetable omelette was super yummy and we are super appreciative that the server was able to substitute potatoes and toast for squash due to Jon's dietary needs. The bad: They only serve drip coffee. We live in Sequim! They really need to step up their coffee game and offer lattes and expressos. I ordered OJ. They were out of OJ. Really? The ugly: My over easy eggs were UGLY.... Both eggs were broken and one was overcooked. So relieved they did good and replaced them with yummy over easy eggs. The other ugly (which caused the 4 star review) is how EXPENSIVE this restaurant is. Jon ordered a vegetarian omelette $18 plus $3 salsa plus $3 avocado plus $3 change of potato and toast to squash. A few things to correct your comments: - there were three tables were seated following me and they all got the dishes before me. One table with couple, one with four people and one at the counter. - the note I put on was not to the waitress blunt to you. I said specifically " lady with black shirt". Your tone made me felt that I shouldn't check what is my order status after 30mins wait. We came in around 9:30am Saturday and ordered traditional breakfast with French toast. Waited over 30mins, the later customers all got their dishes and next table finished theirs. When the waitress was checking with kitchen for us, a lady with black shirt came and said: "it normal wait for 30mins and you are 25mins now, still five mins to go". I am a bigger supporter of local small business, but I would appreciate if they can let me know when we arrived that waiting is 30mins after ordered. I still gave 15% tips as I can see the sorry face from the waitress - I normally pay min 20% for small business. I also noticed that we were the only Asian table during that period.

Classic American cuisine, breakfast served all day, great comfort food - at an affordable price!…read moreWarning, this is a somewhat long review - to help you understand why I feel Paradise Cafe in Sequim, WA is worth 5 stars. If you're reviewing this restaurant, you need to understand this is a reestablished restaurant which was originally the Paradise Restaurant and shut down in November 2024 when the original owners retired (after 35 years of service) and then reopened in February 2025. Any reviews that date November 2024 and further do not apply to this restaurant. You need to understand the restaurant's new co-owners are also the cooks. On Yelp, they describe the restaurant as, "Classic American Cuisine. Breakfast served all day. Seafood and great comfort food." This restaurant does just that - with an extensive menu as well as daily specials. Today, a year and half after they reestablished the restaurant, we had the opportunity to try their food. A little background - while we're extreme out-of-towners, who live over 2600 miles away, we have visited Sequim 6 times in the last 5 years. We've visited in each season and simply love this town! Today, taking advantage of their daily specials, I ordered their Sourdough Burger and had Clam Chowder for my side. My wife ordered Liver and Onions (a rare treat for her) and I stole her Sweet Potato Fries (an extra $3). We also both ordered Lavender Lemonades and shared a slice of Lemon Merengue Pie. The Sourdough Burger was delicious and great! The Clam Chowder ok (I've had better, but it was still ok). My wife liked her Liver and Onions (as I mentioned, a rare treat for her). The Sweet Potato Fries were fried just right, plentiful and worth the extra $3! The Lavender Lemonades were really nice. I found it a little on the sweet/syrupy side, so I simply kept adding water until I was satisfied. The Lemon Merengue Pie, in my opinion, was not so great. Not sure why - maybe because my grandmother made one that was simply to-die-for and this couldn't compete? I do understand all the deserts are made in-house - maybe other deserts would be better. Leaves me curious. The servings were generous and plentiful (in fact, some four hours later, while I write this review, I'm still very full)! Did the restaurant serve "great comfort food" as advertised? In my opinion, indeed they did! Would I return for another meal? Yes - their food is good and their menu has enough diversity to eat something different for five days or more! Would I recommend this restaurant to someone else? Absolutely - local folks or visitors! Our bill was a little over $52. If we skipped the pie, we could've dined for under $45 - delicious bargain! Bonus: they played 70's music and wife enjoyed - there, I hit "ambiance" :)

My bf was enticed by the breakfast burrito (ngl, this was probably one of the BEST breakfast burritos we've ever had!) it's not the standard breakfast burrito...no...it has crispy hashbrowns like really crisp, followed by some outstanding flavors! We only wished the breakfast burrito was a tad bit bigger but wow, it was so delicious! I had their special: the fried chicken sando! That was a messy yet scrumptious sando! The fried chicken was perfect and crisp, the sando overall was nicely stacked. A little too much iceberg lettuce for my taste but I really loved the sliced pickles and not to mentioned, their well-seasoned 4 ingredient fries!!! That seasoning used which we were guessing was crisp chili flakes with salt and pepper and maybe something else that we weren't too sure of, we thought paprika but it wasn't spicy and they were phenomenal!
