Have been coming here pretty regularly since the first review. Food is still good. I have tried things from the lunch side and breakfast side of the menu and enjoyed it all. Service has always been good. Some days can be busier than others so the wait can change a little if it is busy but that is understandable. The out door area is very nice on a sunny day. read more

Yet another hit thanks to Yelp! However the 3.7 stars is hugely underselling this hidden gem. We found the chicken fried steak to be delicious with just the right ratio of breading to generous cut of steak. The gravy was possibly the best ever for me. The owners and wait staff are friendly, efficient, and treat every customer as family. It is a delightful dining experience with two dining areas as well as outdoor seating. Diner vibe, diner food. Not sure if I just got something lackluster but I was not impressed. Got the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits didn't feel like they were made in house and were dry and crumbly. Sausage gravy was fine but nothing memorable. Potatoes were not seasoned and had limited pan fried goodness. Service was mediocre. We had to ask another server just to get refills on water since our server never returned. Husband got brisket hash which was better than mine. Took 12 people to lunch there today, it took us 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee 30 minutes to get our orders taken and almost an hour before we get our food served. Other people sitting next to us were served long before we were. Waitresses seemed to not care that we were waiting so long and despite asking about coffee multiple times it took them that long to get the coffee to our table . We were on the verge of leaving 50 minutes in when the first of our food started arriving . A number of people in the group were really upset how long it had taken to get food and asked me if we should just get up and leave. We know we were a big group, but we had made the effort to come by personally ask an hour before we even came whether it was OK that we came with that large a group and we were assured it would be. Food was a mixed bag french fries were no good according to two who had them much of the rest of it was ok.. We've taken this group here every single year for almost 10 years but we won't be back. No one in the group wanted to ever come back. This is a big change from last year . I'm a local and have eaten here maybe once a month for years and I've decided it's over for me too. We just gave them a huge amount of money that they likely rarely get at one sitting and we felt like we were being treated like they could care less that we were there. read more

Our server was very nice, Hannah, I believe. They have indoor seating, outdoor seating and a very cute enclosed outdoor area with a gas fireplace! We choose to sit there. My partner had the Tillamook burger. She thought it was very good as were the fries. I sampled both and would have to agree. But I do not give out 5 stars unless something stands out. We travel full time and I always try the country gravy as I love chicken fried steak. I asked to taste it and no joke... the BEST I have EVER TASTED. I ordered the special, Chicken fried steak, home style potatoes and a biscuit! Biscuit was very good and came with a a delicious jam. Potatoes tasted like white potatoes, lightly seasoned, no onion or peppers which I though was a nice change and enjoyed every bite. Now this may seem exaggerated but I'm telling you... the gravy was amazing... and then I bit into the chicken fried steak with it.... Oh my heavenly taste buds!!!! Absolutely.... I hate to give this place 2 stars but my experience this time was not the best. I know coming here that food takes time to come out since they cook to order. That wasn't my problem. It was the quality of the food this time. Everything was super oily or over buttery. I got the basic breakfest. Chose scrambled eggs, sourdough toast, and bacon. My aunt gave me her wheat toast. The scrambled eggs had a lot of butter all over them. The bacon was kind of limp and greasy. Both sets of toast had way too much butter on them. Then the potatoes. They were not crispy, lacked flavor, and when you bit into them, your mouth filled with oil/grease. Also got a cup of there clam chowder. I was super excited about this because this place makes one of my favorite clothes chowders and was just disappointed with it. Had huge chunks of potato that took up most of the cup. Found no clams amd that's the point of clam chowder. The soup was also very runny. Also when I had to get the attention of our server to get more coffee and water for the 3 of us at the table because it was all empty, she came across irritated. She was not very busy and didn't appreciate the attitude. Also once we got our food, she never came back outside. When we needed something, we had to go back inside were she was just standing there. I hate not tipping 20 percent but in no way did she earn that for how much we spent on our tab. It sucks that I only get to come up here once a year and this year, it was only sub par. read more

Stopped here for breakfast on the way out of town. The place was full of locals which we took as a good sign. The staff was friendly. The food was ok. They seemed to have trouble getting the orders right. My husband ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich and got ham. We overheard another mistake like that. From the moment we walked in we had amazing service. Fastest breakfast I have ever had! I ordered the spicy scramble and it was delicious. Perfect size. I finished it. My friend got the chili omelette and they took off a few bucks for her not getting the potatoes and bread. She also got a waffle. Sheltered outside dining with a table next to a toasty cozy & woodstove. My customer was able to have his dog at our table! We both ordered the 2 piece fish & chips sided with a very dry Cole slaw. It could have used additional dressing to make it palatable as it was just shredded cabbage. The portion size of cod was about right for lunch. The fish was lightly breaded however greasy. I took my first bite and poured the surplus hot grease out of the opening. Needless to say we needed lots of napkins! I can't say I could recommend this meal as I gave most of the second piece of fish to the dog. Iced Tea, and the meal for 2 with tip was just south of $40. read more

This is a great little diner we had the pleasure to be brought to by our friends & it hasn't changed since Covid, as we happily discovered. The menu is as small as can be handled by their limited staffing, but the food we've had --omelettes, crispy fried potatoes, steak, pancakes, etc., was all first rate. A welcome change from our town, where no real diners with good comfort food still exist. Go earlier than you think you should--they can get completely packed on a weekend in no time as regular post-church groups descend on the place. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I'd give no stars if I could. The food was mediocre at best. It wasn't the worst food I've ever had but it was not worth paying for. The service was awful and took what felt like hours to get help. At the end we were charged $20 more than we should have and didn't realize until later that they did that. $66 for a Caesar salad, cup of chowder, burger and two iced teas? It was supposed to be $46 but the waitress couldn't do math unfortunately so expect to be ripped off here. Def do the math yourself and double check!! I can't think of a single thing The Cup could improve upon. Our experience was great all the way through. We were seated quickly in a sheltered outdoor area with a lovely fireplace. The waitress arrived promptly and took our orders with such a friendly demeanor. Then the food arrived and this is where we really get going. The jalapeno and green chili omelet was great. It wasn't too greasy, there wasn't too much cheese, and the vegetables were spilling out. Plus, I could add vegetarian sausage to it! The fruit cup on the side was great as well; I don't know how they found such good strawberries at this time of year. My partner got the bacon scramble and was impressed by the amount of bacon and the fact that it included havarti cheese. Plus, the jam we got for the toast was incredible. I'm really trying to think here, and I still can't find anything I would have them improve on. After a long morning, I wanted a Burger. -A Real Burger. And they have it! I had the Tillamook Cheeseburger, and it was PERFECT. The place has outside seating, so no passports, muzzles, or anything required. They have Iced Tea. The real deal, NOT machine made fake stuff, but Real Ice Tea. And to top it off?
