This place was fantastic! I wanted to go to a seafood restaurant for my husband, but I'm a vegan. It's usually very difficult to find one that can accommodate me. Salish Grill far exceeded our expectations! We got a table in the outside deck. It was a sunny, overcast day with a nice breeze, so we thought the weather was perfect to eat outside. We had some good seagull and water watching. Our server was very attentive and knew her menu well. My husband got a cup of the clam chowder and said it was one of the best ones he's had. I got the fried Brussels sprouts, and could have ordered 2 more to have as my dinner! They were amazing! My husband got the Manila Clams & Penn Cove Mussels Linguine. He ate every bite and would have finished the sauce if he had a straw. I got the Greek Beet Pita Sandwich--SO GOOD! And the fries were the best I've ever had. They were so crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. We can't wait for our next road trip to Port Townsend so we can come back to Salish Grill. It is a winner!

This is a restaurant you go to not find. It is at the very end of Port Townsend, the only advertisement is for the RV park nearby. Don't let that keep you from this delicious, cozy restaurant. Locals here abound which in my opinion speaks volumes about their food and service. I had the El Portal Burger-so good, perfectly cooked and the flavors worked. The French fries were hot, crisp and just the right amount of salt. My partner had had the fish and chips and he said the fish was hand cut. No drinks or dessert for us but I would come back here again and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent service. The food was amazing. Beautiful day in PT, an outdoor patio and fire really was the cherry on the cake. I highly recommend Salish Grill.

The service, the food and the location is perfect for a nice dinner or lunch . They did rebrand a year ago and I'd say def worth the trip and highly recommend checking them out.

Amazing find on the water. Great views, comfortable ambiance and great service made a good start. The Seafood Artichoke Dip is outstanding; not just the dip, but the flatbread as well. My wife loved the Salmon Mac & Cheese, and my Prime Rib & Cheddar sandwich was very good. For my taste, the bread was a bit crunchy, but overall it was very good. Finish up with a NW Berry Cobbler, also very good.

We were looking for a good spot to eat with 2 kids under 4 years old, while on a day trip to Port Townsend. This ended up being a great casual option as it was a busy Saturday. Adults food was exactly what was advertised and the kids had a great time. Lots of good kids options and gave us lots of broccoli for my son and fish. Service was great and anticipated a quick bill knowing we had the kids etc. Easy parking and quick service made it a great end of the day and then we headed back to Seattle area.

Came to Port Townsend for the day and was looking for some fresh seafood. We thought the marina would be a good bet. The reviews on Yelp were mixed, but we decided to give it a try anyway. It's located near an RV Park. The views are decent, but the RV's were blocking most of our window booth view from the bar area where we sat. They have outside seating available too, but it was pretty windy, so we chose to dine in. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. The staff was friendly and helpful. The menu has a nice variety of options. We decided on the Caesar salad with blackened salmon, cup of chowder, and the northwest cioppino. All the food was really good. The seafood tasted fresh. There was a perfect amount of clams in the chowder. The Caesar dressing was delicious and loved the shaved parmesan on top. Overall we enjoyed our food here. Would recommend.

We had an absolutely delightful evening at Salish Grill (formerly Doc's Marina Grill). The seafood stew was incredible--packed with Northwest salmon, cod, calamari, prawns, Manila clams, and Penn Cove mussels in a rich fennel‑tomato broth, served with warm garlic focaccia. There was so much seafood that I couldn't finish it all (and happily brought the rest home). My partner chose the cod fish&chips, featuring hand‑cut Northwest cod with a crisp golden Panko crust--classic and satisfying . We also shared a starter of steamed clams and mussels with crusty focaccia--perfectly tender and great for dipping . Service was friendly and attentive enough, and the atmosphere--cozy w harbor views. Fresh, local ingredients, generous portions, good service, and a cozy waterfront setting. Highly recommend--best meal we've had in Port Townsend so far!

Doc's is resting on its laurels. It knows it will get customers due to it's location. Food is decent but expensive. Service is slow. Got a pretty good chicken Caesar salad. But $22 just for the salad (no protein). Seasoning on the chicken was great but it was small and overcooked. The fish and chips isn't authentic - more like a panko crust but the fish tasted good.

Doc's has a nice location near the harbor and has outdoor seating to enjoy the view. The menu has a lot of seafood! I got the blackened wild salmon sandwich and really enjoyed this!! The piece of salmon was large, and felt really balanced with the bread and veggies. This came with a side of potato salad that I really liked as well! I felt like the food was a little pricy, and service was slow when we went. But I did enjoy the food and would come back if I'm in the area.

Came in for a friends birthday party. We had reservations and we got seated pretty quickly. It was a Saturday so there were a lot of people waiting. They gave us a back room which was nice and accommodated our group of 8 well. A lot of the reviews here mention that the food takes a while to come out. Well I can confirm it does. We ordered as quickly as possible because of this and it took over an hour and 15 mins to get our food. We ordered a variety of items including the fish and chips, chowder, Burger, Caesar salad, and blackened salmon sandwich. All of the food was pretty decent but nothing really special. Fish and chips was bland and definitely needed the tartar sauce. Service was also not the best. Waiter was very awkward and had poor service skills. We ordered a couple of drinks and he said we should order other drinks because he had to go look in the back to see if they had it but that it was going to take him a while. Also I asked for a menu and he snatched it out of my wife's hands and gave it to me. Very strange. Overall, if I'm in port Townsend again I'd probably skip coming to Docs.

I had been to Doc's Marina Grill about 5 years prior, back when they had an incredible She-Crab soup and salmon tostada. Unfortunately they no longer have either dish on the menu as it is completely different now (the server said they changed chefs). This time, I tried Doc's house made clam chowder, the seafood curry, and the 3 piece fish and chips. All of the dishes were presented beautifully. The clam chowder was my favorite dish by far for flavor and content. One of the best clam chowders I've ever had without being too rich or creamy. They are very generous with the amount of clams they add and there was no sensation of gritty sand. The seafood curry was also filled with seafood varieties which I appreciated. It had a nice curry flavor, but unfortunately was lacking in salt. The fish and chips was the dish that I was most looking forward to, but unfortunately it was really lacking in flavor; I'm not sure if there was no salt at all in it, but it had virtually no taste (and I almost never add salt to food). I tried to add some of the malt vinegar that they brought as a pairing, which made a bit of a difference but not much. However, I did appreciate the crispy, thin breading and I enjoyed the tartar sauce that it came with! Overall, very nice atmosphere being right at the tip of Port Townsend next to the water (there were bald eagles on a perch outside!). I would definitely get the clam chowder again and servers are all very friendly.

Do they allow dogs outside on the patio?

I saw a dog when I was there, although I'm not sure what their official policy is.

It's a very small place, low staff, but the food was fantastic! Menu is fairly simple, with the addition of dozens of milkshake flavors! The fish & chips were fantastic! There are 4 tables inside. 2 were occupied & 1 wasn't bused. I went with the 2 piece halibut & chips To Go. Its mostly chips as the halibut fillets were small. Not a surprise given the price of halibut. Fish good. Real light batter & yet crispy. Coleslaw almost non-existant as it came in the same sized little plastic cup as the tartar sauce. I have to give the tartar sauce a hard pass. It was mostly mayonnaise. I don't use sauce on fish, ever. But it wasn't even good enough to dip the fries in. I dug out the homemade tartar sauce from yesterday's lunch to eat with Sea J's fries. Since I usually avoid dairy I didn't even consider the shakes, but while I was there were 2 to go orders consisting only of shakes. Must be the go to place in town for handmade milkshakes.
