The location is great but the service...hostess and the food is mediocre. They opened less than 37 minutes and the hostess was hesitant to seat me because I did not have a reservation!! The restaurant was 98% empty when I got there and when I left ! I did enjoy my beer! So one star for the beer. Thanks poulsbo brewing co

Friends who live locally referred us to this charming cafe. We were staying in Port Townsend and otherwise would have never found it. From the eclectic decorations, the scenery and the amazing menu choices, this was almost a perfect dinner. Our only hiccup was our red wine was served in a tall, thin glass that my nose kept hitting when I tried to take a drink. The waitress was very cordial to change our glasses. I had a Pork Tenderloin with a Chimichurri sauce and my husband had Seared Ahi Tuna. They were both done to perfection along with the vegetables, no mush there! Thank you for a wonderful dinner to remember.

Delicious gumbo! Fresh ingredients, sauce perfectly seasoned and not too spicy. My New Orleans favorite! The service was delightful.

Great food, great band…read more They need more bartenders and wait staff tho!! Omg don't make people stand in line for 15 minutes to get a beer. Figure it out.

I have been really looking forward to trying their smoked chicken wings for a long time now, but…read morewas never there at the right time. Seems they sold out frequently. Finally a week ago, I was able to have two orders, one that was a BBQ flavor and the other traditional hot. We also ordered a basket of tater tots. This was the best item for our entire evening by far. Such a generous order, too. We didn't think we'd finish them when they arrived, but given the quality of the wings (not so great), we did mow them all up. The dings: well, the wings were just meh. Fatty, not crispy, smoke flavor ok...but neither the BBQ nor the hot were particulary good. Big ding: ZERO white wine. Last time, ok, there was no Chardonnay, I can accept that (barely...this is NOT a Chardonnay kind of place). But this time, red only. Apparently they don't stock any white...I can see where it might not be a big draw, but hey, just buy a BOX of it, keep it in the fridge and someone will order it in the 30 days the box holds its freshness. Second big ding: NO darker, heartier beer than lagers and IPAs. Not even an Alaskan Amber in a bottle. I guess if the guests don't drink it, then why order it. We probably won't come back except for when the Badd Doggs Blues Society plays, but couldn't we BRING in what we want to drink and pay a corkage? Or do we have to go out in the parking lot and sneak a shot? I really WANT to support this place, but, as of now, except for the tots, I'm not sure what I'd come here for. And that's not enough. Bring back Zoog's breaded Jalapeno poppers!

When Steve and I were cruising around, going to Port Townsend after going to Fort Flagler on…read moreMarrowstone Island we came across we came across the Old Alcohol Plant Inn and were immediately interested in spending some time here, perhaps an overnight stay. After a bit of time passed we did get a reservation here and we had a great time! This Inn was once an old alcohol plant which fell into disrepair and was abandoned for a while but was eventually converted into an Inn. There is a restaurant here but we didn't make it in there to try any of the food. We either came in too late or left too early which was outside of business hours for it so I can't provide any feedback there. I believe the restaurant itself has it's own Yelp entry. Our stay here was extremely peaceful and quiet. We absolutely loved that aspect about it. We slept well and had a great view of the water when morning rolled around. Our stay here I suspect falls in the out of season time and so the reception desk called us to confirm we were coming as it was getting a little bit later and then as the drive back to the Inn was taking longer than we thought we called the front desk to make sure they were still there to receive us. I suspect they do this in the off season so the front desk can close earlier if it's slow. I am not sure if they do this sort of thing when it's not in off season but I suspect they may not as much since it's probably busier. So point being they don't appreciate if you just roll in any old time of the night despite a reservation. It's nothing negative to point out with this but more of a heads up if one considers getting a room here in particular during the off season (which is great by the way... so peaceful and quiet).

We love this place…read moreanyway, because it is walking distance for us and the view is always fantastic, even on a grey, dreary day. We had heard there was a new chef and the menu was great. It's true - some classics but also some creative, wonderful dishes. Loved the spinach and nettles soup, something I've wanted to try for years. (Now I feel inspired to conquer my own patch of nettles). My birthday drink, chosen for the name, was refreshing, the Chicken Oscar was better than any other I've ever had (so tender), and I was treated to a birthday dessert. The service was outstanding. I see they now serve breakfasts and the menu options look enticing. I can't wait to go back very soon. I hope people in the community realize what a special place this is.
