Pork Belly Bahn Mi Sandwich. So good.

Always a delicious experience. The staff is always exceptionally friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great and relaxing. You won't be disappointed. Come check it out!

Nice little cozy cafe with a variety of food ( gluten free as well) that you can try. Service is excellent. Prompt and friendly. Price is a bit high. But quality of food well worth it.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the food here. I got a taco salad to go and it was just disproportionately filled with beans and corn. I think that the price for the food is again, disproportionately expensive and the food was just bland and undesirable. It tastes as if they just opened a can of black beans, rinsed it under water, and plopped it onto lettuce. Unfortunately, I would not return to this establishment.

What a great find! This is a wonderful little restaurant just off Water St. It is small but has a full menu and decent beer selection. We're vegan and went with the Bahn Mi sandwich which as simply fantastic. Excellent bread, spicy vegan mayo and tasty mushrooms. We also had the potato and asparagus soup which was creamy and filling. Good service (a bit slow when they're busy) and a friendly and relaxed environment. Really enjoyed it each time we came here.

Very generous portion of taco salad with beef! Not pictured are the bag of tortilla chips. I think this is big enough that it can be shared between 2 people or possibly saved as leftovers. For $20, this had me full way past dinner. Regardless, this is a cute place to stop by for a lunch or dinner date with very cool and cozy art. The desserts at the counter are also really yummy, especially the brownie with miso sauce! Don't get caught red handed eating dessert while waiting for pick up like we did. Shout out to the cashier who had a good laugh at that lol. You can also order ahead of time on the website to save some time for pick up!

Ask the Community - Owl Sprit Cafe

    Do they exhibit art? Who?

Yes! There is always art on display on the walls and for sale. The artists change pretty regularly, local artists mostly.

Sounds perfect, but would there be room for 7-8 friends to all sit together (celebrating a birthday dinner)?

You'd have to move tables around but bc it's so small they're very communicative, the biggest table seats 6

There is a free bathroom and a cafe in the back with a few tables for seating next to very sunny windows. However, and I'd like to share my feedback on my experiences. - The food is decent, though it's often prepared for presentation rather than taste. It frequently arrives cold. - The coffee and tea are overpriced and tastes mediocre. - for instance, I paid $8 for a 4-ounce mix of espresso and orange juice that made my stomach hurt. - I also paid nearly $7 for the "peach blossom tea" and ended up getting 3/4 cup of ice, packet tea, and sweetener in a cup. - I've tried nearly everything on the drink menu and nothing is 'great' - The wait time for an order is incredibly long, and the employees are often distracted and preoccupied with other tasks, making it difficult to get my order taken. Overall, go to narrative for the ambiance and food, NOT the drinks.

I like that you order with the cashier and they deliver the food to your table, so it's like partial food service. This is great for people coming in groups so you don't have to worry about splitting the bill. I ordered a grilled cheese with cheddar, and egg added inside. I do wish the cheese was a little more melted, but the bread was perfectly crispy and soft. For my side I chose the tomato bisque, which was pretty creamy and lacked a strong, tangy tomato flavor. I would skip the tomato soup next time and opt for a different side. The sweet potato fries were DELICIOUS, they were so crispy on the outside and not soggy. I do wish they had different sizes for the sides, because the full order of sweet potato fries is huge and a little excessive if you're already ordering an entree that come with a side. There is an extra charge for ranch dipping. My friends were all happy with their food. There is a bathroom that also brings you to free roaming chicken! I do want to come back to try their ice cream and pies!!!
