Was visiting Bainbridge Island for a short while and literally just wanted to grab a coffee before heading back to the city. From the ferry, it's about a 15 min walk. This place can get BUSY so just expect a line out the door, but it moves reasonably. The drip coffee was delicious so I had to buy a bag of beans to bring home. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside and had a pleasant break before heading back to the ferry.

Adorable and charming, quaint and full of personality. Their honey latte was outstanding, as was the raspberry bar. As a visitor passing through, I loved that you can write a postcard and the cafe will stamp and mail it for you. Sweet feature!

Well known coffee house on Bainbridge Island- parking was easily available in a free lot across the street. Our group got lattes, a match and hot chocolate and enjoyed all of them! The inside was starting to get busy when we got there around 10am on a Saturday so we walked down to the dock where there were benches to enjoy our beverages.

I tried three drinks and they were all made well. The iced drinks were watery even towards the bottom of the drink. The hot drink in the picture (don't remember what it was) had the perfect amount of sweetness and was so creamy.

Nice comfortable stop on our afternoon stroll in Bainbridge. Enjoyed a cappuccino with raspberry pastry, while my wife had a hibiscus tea with almond croissant.

Such a cute little cafe! Went here early in the morning and it was a nice warm refuge that smelled of delicious coffee and bacon! I just got a simple breakfast sandwich and it was pretty good! Despite it being busy it was pretty quick but we left to eat in the car since all the tables were taken up lol!

Cute place, small and very busy during the summer. Be prepared to wait out the door! The line does move fairly fast, and the staff is friendly and prompt. Coffee itself is fine, nothing crazy, but it's a picturesque place so it's nice to visit!

It's definitely one of the place you should go for photos, but the coffee we're meh to us. 5 stars for the decors and customer service!' Their staff was so nice, so complimented me so much and even loved my name! But for the coffee was meh. I got an iced lavender latte and it tasted like water down latte and without any lavender taste. For my husband he got peach cold brew and he hated it so much and he couldn't even finish it. I tried a sip it was too bad but not my favorite.

Molten chocolate cake

I tried the mocha along with their freshly baked molten cake. They let you know upfront that the cake takes about 10-15 minutes, and that's exactly how long it took. The place was crowded, with a line that meant waiting nearly 20 minutes just to place our order. The mocha was nicely balanced--not overly sweet--with strong, good-quality coffee and a subtle chocolate note. The molten lava cake, however, fell short for me. The texture and flavor of the cake itself were underwhelming, though the molten chocolate center was enjoyable. Overall, it's a decent option, but definitely not as impressive as the hype suggests. The ambience was cozy and quaint.

A super cute spot that was poppin after we arrive from the ferry. There was a line that moved quickly. It's a cute shop with great outdoor seating options as well. They have reasonably priced items and the food was pretty good. I enjoyed the avocado toast. The avocado seemed premade and not the freshest but still good and great toppings. The cinnamon roll was decent. My husband enjoyed the burrito. Their latte was also great!

Went here because its a "must visit" when im bainbridge, the coffee options were freat. The place is mostly packed and has pretty photo ops. The coffee was normal nothing must try kind. The place is self serving . Tried their pumpkin spice latte and the hazelnut latte

Going to this spot after walking around the small town can hit. I thought the chai was very delicious and the coffee was ok. The service was quick and there's seating inside and outside which is nice. It can feel crammed with lots of people waiting but overall it was a good experience.

My family and I made a stop at the Pegasus Coffee House on our adventure to visit the Bainbridge troll. We went right after the ferry unloaded on Saturday morning around 9:30am. The line was going out the door, but just barely. We waited for roughly 10 minutes before ordering. However, when we got inside there wasn't any seating available so we stood outside and waited. They have a nice outdoor seating area, though it's not covered so you're out of luck in the rain. My sister ordered a cappuccino and really enjoyed it! I was excited to see that they offered Macrina pastries and shared a croissant with my dad. We also tried the classic breakfast sandwich. It was served on toasted sandwich bread and included egg, sausage, and some sort of sauce. It was pretty good, though I think it may be better suited for a different type of bread. Pegasus is really cute and a good stop, but if you're planning on sitting for a while, try to get there early! Or maybe just not right after the ferry unloads.

Great little spot on Bainbridge Island. I love that they have postcards that you can complete and they will mail them off for you.

Ok coffee. Wouldn't get it again. But a nice visit nonetheless. The cold brew I got was a bit too watered down and acidic for me

Blackbird Bakery - Apple and caramel monkey bread (June 2024)

Over the past couple of years, I've had all manner of cakes, pastries and pies from Blackbird. In…read morefact, it's almost a given that when I encounter a tasty pie or pastry at a friend's house on Bainbridge, when I ask, it's almost a given that it came from Blackbird. They're expensive, but the old adage "you get what you pay for" definitely applies to Blackbird. You may pay more than you might somewhere else, but their quality is exceptional. Today I stopped by for one of their quiches--their spinach and goat cheese--and a lemon blueberry scone. Both were super yummy. I often get one of their chais too, which are also quite tasty (and not at all dry, a common problem with scones). Having Blackbird downtown makes it quite convenient to just stop by while on the way to elsewhere. But sometimes it can be a destination if...you can find seating, which is at a premium most of the day.

After being a BI resident and then moving away I was so excited to make time to stop by Blackbird…read more I had told several friends on the island that I was looking forward to stopping by the bakery and I was surprised to find they had lost their love for it. I figured it was due to taking it for granted... ...I was mistaken. Day one of our trip we ordered several items and none of them were very good at all. We ended up giving items away and thought maybe the bakery was just having an off day. The staff seemed bothered by having to take our order but hey- we all have tough days! Well...day two of our trip we decide to prioritize stopping by again. After a local saw us waiting 30 minutes for our toast and jam she told us to go ask and that "sometimes the staff can get really overwhelmed ". So my daughter stood in line a second time and was told that the employee heard we wanted it to go so it had been sitting at the end of the counter the whole time. We specified we wanted to eat it inside. We asked kindly if they could fix the mistake and we were happy to wait. To my genuine surprise the employee with the pink hair opened the bag of toast, plopped our three orders on trays along with the plastic to go tiny jams and dropped them on our table with the most dismissive uncaring attitude I've seen. You could get more care at a convenient store. We thought we'd try to eat them anyway and the pieces were cold and hard. I asked her about them and her response was "well you asked for to go". Not only does she seem incapable of doing her job basics but as an employer I'm shocked she is granted the simple tasks of serving toast in the first place. She made sure to put plenty of energy into gossiping with her co worker about her irritation with us. We have strong ties on the island still and come back often but we will gladly skip the visit here in the future. I certainly hope these staff members get some basic skills in customer service for their own future.

My quiche had undersalted eggs, strange-tasting cheese, and a crust that ate as if it were microwaved. Plenty of warm (and cold) drinks, and a reasonable breakfast and lunch menu. You order at the counter, but they will bring it to your table. Cons: I ordered a sandwich--the turkey BLT--which was okay, but just okay. On non-descript wheat bread, bagged lettuce (which was a little wilty), and a round of processed turkey. Bacon seemed reasonably freshly cooked, however. Upshot: nice place to hang, especially with a warm beverage in hand. I would go again just for that, and likely will. As for lunch--which, granted, I only tried one of their sandwiches--there are much better sandwich options on the Island.

HI LIFE is an exception, and will be a go-to going forward. The Poke sho-ka-do box is a great option for open minded first-timers. It's a huge amount of food, easily satisfying two and giving you a nice sense of the variety of fish and marinades on offer. Note that it's a fixed set, so you'll likely end up with some marinades/fish you prefer over others. The mayo-base poke wasn't my jam, but that's personal preference. One note, it'd be nice if the box included rice. it's available for $3 extra, which feels trivial. As for dining environs, it's located in a refurbished service station. There's limited indoor seating by the service counter, but most tables are under the overhang where gas pumps would have once been. I'd go at a slightly off-time if possible to ensure you get a seat!
