I absolutely greatly appreciate the intentionality of this cafe when you dine here you instantly are reminded of what dining out with your family or friends should be like. The menu is vast, and depending on what time you arrive both breakfast and lunch options are available to order. The table has a pretty big menu with a lot of variety and is a favorite local breakfast and lunch place. They have a baked apple pancake, which is amazing in addition to their German pancake, which is just as good. They have a daily quiche, which is pretty good and their Monte Cristo is one of my favorites. All that being said frankly, the best part about The Oak Table Cafe, is Rosie the hostess. She is warm and friendly and goes out of her way to make sure that a long line moves smoothly and that nobody is waiting for an excessive amount of time to get a table. She is engaging and personable, and I look forward to seeing Rosie every time we go into Oak Table for breakfast. The Oak Table Cafe in Sequim is an absolute gem. We visited on a Thursday morning and were surprised to find it very busy for a weekday--that alone says a lot about how popular and well-regarded this place is. Even with our large group, the service was outstanding--true 5-star treatment from start to finish. The staff made sure we were all well taken care of. Many of us ordered the house-made fruit mimosas, and both the Peach Bellini and Raspberry versions were wonderful. The Bloody Marias were also excellent. The biscuits and gravy was a hefty, satisfying portion--the gravy was thick and loaded with sausage, and the biscuits were perfectly homemade. All the portions were generously large, so we shared everything around the table. Even the kids' meals were big enough that us adults were nibbling from them too! The kitchen staff must be incredibly efficient and talented to keep up with that pace. The omelets were large and filling, served with fresh fruit and thick pieces of toast. I even took home my untouched pancakes (they came with the omelet) for my mom. Everything was delicious and made with care. Back here again and I always recommend this spot when anyone I know is in the area. Place is still quaint and cozy. I initially went to the silverdale location because it was closer to me but the parking lot was packed, so I left and trekked the 1+ hour here. I was grateful to be seated right away. I was in need of coffee and had 2.5 cups. They were great with refilling it as soon as they saw it getting low. I of course ordered my first Eggs Benedict since I stopped eating vegan and this did not disappoint. It was just as delicious as the first time I ate it a few years ago. I definitely recommend it. Potato pancakes are so good, you can taste the butter that they fry it with. I got the sour cream and applesauce on the side. Can't wait to go back again. read more

Was headed to Crescent Lake but wanted some breakfast before getting there. Googled and several options came up but this place was the only one open on Friday morning. Reminds guests of an old fashion tavern in design and hospitality. Great place with great food. Was very crowded when we got there but still managed to seat us within 10 minutes. Had plenty of options to select from. Ordered two dishes: Nicole egg and veggie omelet (thought it may also have been Nicole Benedict - asked for their popular and said to surprise me...and they did) with an order of bacon, and Blueberry and Lemon Curd French Toast). Great sweet and savory combination is you're sharing. The lemon curd was delicious and ask for the "organic" syrup (they have two kinds and the fallback is the normal one that most folks are used to from a storefront bottle). I finally got a chance to try Oak Table. My mom said that the setup is different, and there are more tables in there now. It was really crowded, but I was glad we got a table without a wait. The waitresses all seemed very polite and happy. I was going to try their famous Apple Pancake, but then saw the Raspberry Lemon Bar French Toast breakfast special. The flavor was terrific, and the texture of the French toast was the best I've ever experienced. My mom liked the look of my raspberry syrup so much, that she asked the waitress to take away her maple, and bring raspberry for her pancakes. I also tried their very popular bacon. It had great flavor, but was very dry. Next time, I'd ask for it limp. I guess the crispy bacon is really popular, but wasn't really my thing. The flavor it was so amazing, though, that I can't wait to try it again, just less cooked. The Hawaiian Sunrise mocktail tasted so much like cherry, that I couldn't taste the pineapple that much, but the hot chocolate was seriously the best hot chocolate I've ever had. Found this place on Yelp that had many reviews. We reached here for late brunch/ lunch. It was beautiful old fashioned interiors and all the servers were wearing beautiful dresses. We ordered an omelet with mushroom sauce and another omelet with tomato sauce. The mushroom one was good. Both the omelets came in with a side of potato pancakes. We even ordered freshly squeezed orange juice. This place had toilets with wheelchair assistance and a diaper changing station too. Had to revisit this place after our great meal about 15 years ago. Everything looked and felt as though only a year had passed. Staff super friendly, sadly like everywhere else the prices have risen greatly over time. Hubby ordered the classic Eggs Benny w/ fries instead of hash browns w/coffee. I ordered Eggs Benny Country Style on a croissant instead of muffin. Each were a whopping $20.50! (For an old school cafe that's high.... if it was a fancier water view place or maybe a fresh crab or salmon Benny sure.) Mine came with their grated potato pancakes. I asked about the sausage gravy since it came with a mushroom sauce so she brought me a small side but realized later was charged 3.25. They advertise their bacon as premium thick sliced from Seattle butcher, hickory smoked weighing over 1/2lb for 4 slices (9.00) it was good but honestly looked and tasted like a standard good bacon. We were expecting something more like decadent crispy pork belly for the price and description. Hubby enjoyed his meal, but eggs Benny should have a soft yolk and both of ours were cooked past that. Our server was so sweet we didn't want to complain. Coffee $5 but was good blend and ended up buying a bag they offer at register for $12 from local roaster down the street. My meal was good.... but unsure about the mushroom sauce and I love them. It was like this underlying slight sour taste that kept me from really enjoying it. The potato pancakes were different from what I recall. I thought they were more like latkes with a crispy potato taste/texture but these are so finely grated that you can't even detect they are shredded potatoes. It was more like a super thin buckwheat flavor to me, unique but was good with the yummy applesauce & sour cream. I ordered a Bloody Mary $12.50 was flavorful didn't feel any alcohol but fine. We enjoyed our meal for the most part, couple of slight disappointments but the prices are so extreme I don't know how people can afford eating breakfast here. Our bill with tip came to $90!!!! That's just crazy. I saw on the menu the price for side items like $4.75 for ONE EGG??? $5.95 for TOAST??? Wowza, Sorry but it just takes the enjoyment out of dining. Gee Whiz! The Oak Table Cafe just bought some serious real estate in my stomach. I walked into this classic feeling dining room battling with the task of choosing between pancakes and omelets. But never fear! With each omelet comes three pancakes. I ordered the western omelet which was fine, but the side order of pancakes was life changing. As a pancake connoisseur I was blown away. The pancakes weren't too big, were light, fluffy, and had excellent flavor. Shame on me for not ordering more of them. We always enjoy our food at Oak Table cafe! Jon ordered a soy milk latte with sugar-free vanilla while I ordered a fresh squeezed OJ with separate glass of ice. The ambiance is the first thing that stands out. I can see how many would feel that it is outdate or old, but my wife and I found it charming and incredibly warm. The staff are super friendly and are definitely on top of the coffee. I don't think my wife's cup ever got lower than halfway before she got asked if she wanted a top off. My wife got their Eggs benedict while I had their Omelets special and we split a plate of their bacon. Firstly the positives, the mushroom hollandaise sauce for the eggs benedict was phenomenal and I really loved the home made sausage. Their buttermilk pancakes were also fantastic, and I overheard another patron ask for apple syrup, which I regret not getting. Lastly the bacon. My wife and I have an ongoing argument on the perfect crispiness of bacon, and I think they've really nailed it here. Things that I felt could've been improved. I've never had potato pancakes before, so I can't make any comparison. But these felt like soft hashbrowns that were a little too oily. The bacon although amazing, came only in 4 strips, which for almost 10$ felt like the portion size could've been slightly larger, but I acknowledge that they use a local butcher. And although their French omelet is indeed massive and fluffy, presentation could be improved on and it included a large amount of raw onions which I think could've been balanced someway so it wasn't so sharp. All in all a positive experience and if we're ever back in the area I would love to try their apple soufflé pancakes. read more

I rarely enjoy going out to breakfast/brunch because you have to wait forever and the food is pretty much what you could make at home but for way more money. Neither of these things are true at the Oak Table. Although there are no reservations there, this place is efficient at turning tables over. We arrived at 8:30 and were seated in about 30 seconds. They have a bunch of servers and the drinks and coffee come out quickly food comes out quickly - but not so much that it feels like you are rushed. The food itself is your basic brunch food but prepared decadently with plenty of butter and super fluffy pancakes and thick and crispy bacon. There's a few special items I have tried a time or two like apple pancakes that I would certainly recommend, especially if this is your first or only time coming through the Oak Table. I didnt take a look at the menu before we came here...if I did I may not have chose it. I came here based of the rating and I can see the charm in it...but dont know that I would return. I say this because pancakes seem ti be the foundation of their breakfast menu--and they were only serving breakfast on the day we came. Luckily they are willing to make substitutions. Portion sizes for the price are a little on the smaller side. Looks like they are popular for their apple pancake. Definitely should probably be shared between two people. I opted for an omelette--cheese is not included in the price--extra charge. My fried asked for berries only in her fruit bowl...which I would say looked to be better than the fruit I received for my standard fruit bowl. All in all...I wasn't impressed.
