If you are looking for a place to relive the 1950-60 era, this is the place to go. Retro Decor all around. The music will take you back in time. BUT the best meal I had there was the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Onion Rings. I tried many other dishes but they were just so-so. The best thing about the Meat Loaf Special is the REAL potatoes and gravy. The milk shakes and malts are worth having. Service was AMAZING. But do not expect gourmet meals.

I can't believe I had not been to this cute diner that we pass by often on the main drag in Sequim! It was more spacious inside than I realized and It has the 50s style nailed. Both booths or counter service available, a great menu with broiled burgers, breakfast served all day and even prime rib dinner specials or ect on certain evenings. The milkshake and malt offerings are legit! We stopped in at lunch and were greeted with kind service. We had bacon blue cheese burgers that were seriously some of the best Ive had in a long time, like since before the pandemic! I liked that they didn't blink when we asked for all the condiments, real hienz ketchup here, dijon mustard, ect.. burgers were even topped with crunchy onion straws! I was hoping for more 'old fashioned' prices thou, however, the price was still better than most as the burgers included unlimited fries. (ave about $17 depending which toppings ya get) Also, the burgers blow all others out of the water in Sequim. so priced accordingly. I was impressed! We'll be back. Only thing is you'll need to stop out to Peninsula taproom-or barhop for a beer, this is a maltshop! So we shared an incredible chocolate malt shake, order one per couple is perfect. Yum!!

Great diner in Sequim, Washington. Passing through town visiting family and asked a local for a suggestion and was directed to this great 50s style diner. Service was friendly and fast. Food was nicely portioned and delicious. Family ordered the Halibut fish and chips (I subbed fries for vegetable of day) meal also came with soup or salad, so I chose their award winning clam chowder. Fish was cooked perfectly and super meaty. My nephews ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and Blue Moon burger, both came with fries. Burger had great flavor combo with jalapeños, bacon and different cheeses. My sister got the French toast with bacon and eggs. And had to try the chocolate shake. Definitely recommend it if in the area.

This is a cute diner! Parking is easy as well. There was no wait when we went. We ordered a butterfinger malt milkshake and it was delicious. The milkshake was a great size too. Then for food, we ordered the chicken fried steak and chicken/waffles. The chicken fried steak was the biggest I have ever seen, it encompassed the plate. I would say it was a bit in the saltier side. The waffles were probably the crispiest I have ever had. The chicken on the waffles was bland and a bit dry but everything was forgiven when the house made buttermilk sauce was drizzled on it. I would definitely recommend this place for the quantity, prices, and service. Our server was attentive to all our needs.

Hard to know if it's a three or four at this diner. I've been coming to this diner on and off since it first opened decades ago. They still do not have any nondairy milk and very little for a plant-based eater. You can get the snow call me falls oatmeal. We exchanged raisins for blueberries thank you. OK. Prices have gone up like a lot of things in Sequim. They make a fresh Belgium waffle which I used to really enjoy before I went fully vegan Definitely a step back to Happy Days diner

I had the chicken fried steak. Steak was so tough as to be uneatable. Service was fine, as was the ambiance. Elvis theme.

Staff super friendly, sadly like everywhere else the prices have risen greatly over time. Hubby ordered the classic Eggs Benny w/ fries instead of hash browns w/coffee. I ordered Eggs Benny Country Style on a croissant instead of muffin. Each were a whopping $20.50! (For an old school cafe that's high.... if it was a fancier water view place or maybe a fresh crab or salmon Benny sure.) Mine came with their grated potato pancakes. I asked about the sausage gravy since it came with a mushroom sauce so she brought me a small side but realized later was charged 3.25. They advertise their bacon as premium thick sliced from Seattle butcher, hickory smoked weighing over 1/2lb for 4 slices (9.00) it was good but honestly looked and tasted like a standard good bacon. We were expecting something more like decadent crispy pork belly for the price and description. Hubby enjoyed his meal, but eggs Benny should have a soft yolk and both of ours were cooked past that. Our server was so sweet we didn't want to complain. Coffee $5 but was good blend and ended up buying a bag they offer at register for $12 from local roaster down the street. My meal was good.... but unsure about the mushroom sauce and I love them. It was like this underlying slight sour taste that kept me from really enjoying it. The potato pancakes were different from what I recall. I thought they were more like latkes with a crispy potato taste/texture but these are so finely grated that you can't even detect they are shredded potatoes. It was more like a super thin buckwheat flavor to me, unique but was good with the yummy applesauce & sour cream. I ordered a Bloody Mary $12.50 was flavorful didn't feel any alcohol but fine. We enjoyed our meal for the most part, couple of slight disappointments but the prices are so extreme I don't know how people can afford eating breakfast here. Our bill with tip came to $90!!!! That's just crazy. I saw on the menu the price for side items like $4.75 for ONE EGG??? $5.95 for TOAST??? Wowza, Sorry but it just takes the enjoyment out of dining. That's just being greedy to your loyal customers.

So glad that we were able to finally give it a try! Jon ordered a 3 egg scramble with cheddar cheese and chives but he had mushrooms and spinach added! So yummy! He also up charged the toast for fruit. I ordered a BIG BREAKFAST which is a sandwich with a square hash brown, cheese, burger patty and a fried egg on top. The aioli seemed like it was just mayo... and the bun was meh. So I ate everything in between the two buns and it was super yummy! I also uncharged and got fruit and they gave us yummy strawberry, blueberries and banana! Really enjoyed the fruit! Great meal! Very short wait for good and the waitress was very pleasant and quick to take order and give us our bill.

She made reservations and chose outdoors, not realizing it would be so cold, so I was freezing in my cotton dress. When I asked if they had any heaters, they kindly offered blankets so I took two and bundled myself up. For the amuse bouche, we got a radish with baba ghanoush and some sort of blackberry balsamic. For the first course, I got shishito peppers with baba ghanoush. The peppers weren't too spicy and paired well with the baba ghanoush. It's not something I would have probably sought out to eat myself so it was nice to have something different. For the main course, I got a shiitake, oyster mushroom rice noodle curry. This was surprisingly filling to the point that I had to waste some of the rice noodles. For dessert, I got a pear ginger blackberry fruit crisp. It was nice that you could taste that it wasn't made with a bunch of added sugar or anything. My friend got the other vegan dessert which was a coconut tapioca pudding, which I also tried, and was nice and light and tart, with some figs at the top. Service was great. Our server asked right off the bat about dietary restrictions so I told her vegan, no honey for myself. There was a very long gap between course 1 and course 2 which may have led to me getting full earlier than anticipated, and then the gap between the entree and dessert wasn't as vast. Our entire dinner took about two hours at Nourish, 7-9pm, which is longer than we expected, but the food was a pleasant experience. As a vegan, a little more protein was top of mind when reading the menu, but I love that they created good vegetable based dishes without any mock meats or excess sodium or processed ingredients. My friend also really enjoyed her food. Priced at $78 per person, it's a nice night out. We recommend.

We stopped in on Thanksgiving Day for breakfast, and even though they were packed, the kitchen still delivered. My friend had the biscuits and gravy with meat, and it was exactly what you want on a chilly Washington morning: hearty, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. Service was friendly, but with the holiday rush it was definitely a bit chaotic. We had to track someone down for coffee refills, which wasn't a huge deal but worth noting. Aside from that, the overall experience was great. If you're craving solid comfort food and a welcoming, down-to-earth vibe, Mariner Café is an easy recommendation--especially on cold days when you just want something warm and delicious. After a first attempt where a restaurant's hours were not updated, we found Stymie's in Sequim. It's one of the restaurants at Cedars at Dungeness golf course (the other one is Double Eagle Steak and Seafood). It seems to be the more casual of the two options and we opted for it since we were in hiking clothes. The hostess told us we could walk in and try to find a table. She warned us it might be a long wait. Thankfully, we found a place to sit right away and a waiter gave us waters and a menu. We ordered cups of clam chowder to start. Thankfully they were out quickly. We got drinks while we waited for our food. The Dungeness crab Mac and cheese was listed as an appetizer, so we assumed it was a small portion. My husband got the fish and chips and I got pasta with shrimp. We got our entrees first, so we thought maybe the waitress had forgotten we ordered the Mac and cheese since they were so busy. She then apologized for the wait and said she'd be bringing it out shortly. We weren't planning on asking about it because their portions are very generous and even though we were hungry, we realized it was so much food. When the Dungeness crab Mac and cheese finally came out, it wasn't in a small cup, it was a whole bowl of delicious goodness. The Mac and cheese was resting in some sort of sauce and they were extremely generous with the crab. I loved that you could control the ratio with each bite. I wish I had taken pictures of the menu and its description, but all you need to know is that it's the BEST Mac and cheese I've ever had. I was floored that it wasn't mentioned in any review nor pictures. Maybe it's a new addition. Don't walk, RUN if you're nearby. You won't regret it and it will be worth the wait. I forgot all about my entree and just focused on the Mac.
