If you are looking for a place to relive the 1950-60 era, this is the place to go. Retro Decor all around. The music will take you back in time. BUT the best meal I had there was the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Onion Rings. I tried many other dishes but they were just so-so. The best thing about the Meat Loaf Special is the REAL potatoes and gravy. The milk shakes and malts are worth having. Service was AMAZING. But do not expect gourmet meals.

I can't believe I had not been to this cute diner that we pass by often on the main drag in Sequim! It was more spacious inside than I realized and It has the 50s style nailed. Both booths or counter service available, a great menu with broiled burgers, breakfast served all day and even prime rib dinner specials or ect on certain evenings. The milkshake and malt offerings are legit! We stopped in at lunch and were greeted with kind service. We had bacon blue cheese burgers that were seriously some of the best Ive had in a long time, like since before the pandemic! I liked that they didn't blink when we asked for all the condiments, real hienz ketchup here, dijon mustard, ect.. burgers were even topped with crunchy onion straws! I was hoping for more 'old fashioned' prices thou, however, the price was still better than most as the burgers included unlimited fries. (ave about $17 depending which toppings ya get) Also, the burgers blow all others out of the water in Sequim. so priced accordingly. I was impressed! We'll be back. Only thing is you'll need to stop out to Peninsula taproom-or barhop for a beer, this is a maltshop! So we shared an incredible chocolate malt shake, order one per couple is perfect. Yum!!

Great diner in Sequim, Washington. Passing through town visiting family and asked a local for a suggestion and was directed to this great 50s style diner. Service was friendly and fast. Food was nicely portioned and delicious. Family ordered the Halibut fish and chips (I subbed fries for vegetable of day) meal also came with soup or salad, so I chose their award winning clam chowder. Fish was cooked perfectly and super meaty. My nephews ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and Blue Moon burger, both came with fries. Burger had great flavor combo with jalapeños, bacon and different cheeses. My sister got the French toast with bacon and eggs. And had to try the chocolate shake. Definitely recommend it if in the area.

This is a cute diner! Parking is easy as well. There was no wait when we went. We ordered a butterfinger malt milkshake and it was delicious. The milkshake was a great size too. Then for food, we ordered the chicken fried steak and chicken/waffles. The chicken fried steak was the biggest I have ever seen, it encompassed the plate. I would say it was a bit in the saltier side. The waffles were probably the crispiest I have ever had. The chicken on the waffles was bland and a bit dry but everything was forgiven when the house made buttermilk sauce was drizzled on it. I would definitely recommend this place for the quantity, prices, and service. Our server was attentive to all our needs.

Hard to know if it's a three or four at this diner. I've been coming to this diner on and off since it first opened decades ago. They still do not have any nondairy milk and very little for a plant-based eater. You can get the snow call me falls oatmeal. We exchanged raisins for blueberries thank you. OK. Prices have gone up like a lot of things in Sequim. They make a fresh Belgium waffle which I used to really enjoy before I went fully vegan Definitely a step back to Happy Days diner

The service was ok. The food was absolute garbage. We'll never go there again. The water was the only thing we liked.

The waitresses all seemed very polite and happy. I was going to try their famous Apple Pancake, but then saw the Raspberry Lemon Bar French Toast breakfast special. The flavor was terrific, and the texture of the French toast was the best I've ever experienced. My mom liked the look of my raspberry syrup so much, that she asked the waitress to take away her maple, and bring raspberry for her pancakes. I also tried their very popular bacon. It had great flavor, but was very dry. Next time, I'd ask for it limp. I guess the crispy bacon is really popular, but wasn't really my thing. The flavor it was so amazing, though, that I can't wait to try it again, just less cooked. The Hawaiian Sunrise mocktail tasted so much like cherry, that I couldn't taste the pineapple that much, but the hot chocolate was seriously the best hot chocolate I've ever had. It was so creamy and sweet, and just the right strength of chocolate flavor.

Had a great time and we stopped here for dinner on a Sunday around 4:30 before heading back home. This great looking restaurant didn't exist last time we were in Sequim. It's right next door to the attractive Holiday Inn Express. Because I had a bit of a drive ahead of me, we ordered no beer or wine, just stuck with ice cold water. My wife ordered the Chicken Caesar Melt ($15.39), marinated grilled chicken breast with Caesar dressing, lettuce, tomato, and Swiss & jack cheeses on sourdough bread grilled with a Parmesan crust. Came with a choice of sides and she had the onion rings. I had Mikey's Homemade Chicken Pot Pie ($17.99), which also came with choice of sides. I had the green beans and bacon, which was very flavorful, but the beans were cooked to death...soft and mushy 50's style; probably wouldn't order them again. Except for the beans, we both thought our food choices were excellent. My wife asked for tartar sauce for her rings and it definitely was not our preferred style...too sweet. Just give us dill relish, mayo and a little onion...no sugar or other sweetener please. Lots of young people working here...all very polite, well-spoken and cordial. Our server did a great job! We would gladly return.

The menus are on a newspaper, so that was pretty unique to see. Overall, I was quite impressed with the service and the food being on a holiday.

She made reservations and chose outdoors, not realizing it would be so cold, so I was freezing in my cotton dress. When I asked if they had any heaters, they kindly offered blankets so I took two and bundled myself up. For the amuse bouche, we got a radish with baba ghanoush and some sort of blackberry balsamic. For the first course, I got shishito peppers with baba ghanoush. The peppers weren't too spicy and paired well with the baba ghanoush. It's not something I would have probably sought out to eat myself so it was nice to have something different. For the main course, I got a shiitake, oyster mushroom rice noodle curry. This was surprisingly filling to the point that I had to waste some of the rice noodles. For dessert, I got a pear ginger blackberry fruit crisp. It was nice that you could taste that it wasn't made with a bunch of added sugar or anything. My friend got the other vegan dessert which was a coconut tapioca pudding, which I also tried, and was nice and light and tart, with some figs at the top. Service was great. Our server asked right off the bat about dietary restrictions so I told her vegan, no honey for myself. There was a very long gap between course 1 and course 2 which may have led to me getting full earlier than anticipated, and then the gap between the entree and dessert wasn't as vast. Our entire dinner took about two hours at Nourish, 7-9pm, which is longer than we expected, but the food was a pleasant experience. As a vegan, a little more protein was top of mind when reading the menu, but I love that they created good vegetable based dishes without any mock meats or excess sodium or processed ingredients. My friend also really enjoyed her food. Priced at $78 per person, it's a nice night out. We recommend.

We stopped in on Thanksgiving Day for breakfast, and even though they were packed, the kitchen still delivered. I ordered the classic breakfast--crispy bacon, perfectly done eggs, golden hashbrowns with just the right crunch, and an English muffin. Everything tasted fresh, familiar, and comforting. My friend had the biscuits and gravy with meat, and it was exactly what you want on a chilly Washington morning: hearty, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. Service was friendly, but with the holiday rush it was definitely a bit chaotic. We had to track someone down for coffee refills, which wasn't a huge deal but worth noting. Aside from that, the overall experience was great. If you're craving solid comfort food and a welcoming, down-to-earth vibe, Mariner Café is an easy recommendation--especially on cold days when you just want something warm and delicious. I'd definitely go back!

After a first attempt where a restaurant's hours were not updated, we found Stymie's in Sequim. It's one of the restaurants at Cedars at Dungeness golf course (the other one is Double Eagle Steak and Seafood). It seems to be the more casual of the two options and we opted for it since we were in hiking clothes. The hostess told us we could walk in and try to find a table. She warned us it might be a long wait. Thankfully, we found a place to sit right away and a waiter gave us waters and a menu. We ordered cups of clam chowder to start. Thankfully they were out quickly. We got drinks while we waited for our food. The Dungeness crab Mac and cheese was listed as an appetizer, so we assumed it was a small portion. My husband got the fish and chips and I got pasta with shrimp. We got our entrees first, so we thought maybe the waitress had forgotten we ordered the Mac and cheese since they were so busy. She then apologized for the wait and said she'd be bringing it out shortly. We weren't planning on asking about it because their portions are very generous and even though we were hungry, we realized it was so much food. When the Dungeness crab Mac and cheese finally came out, it wasn't in a small cup, it was a whole bowl of delicious goodness. The Mac and cheese was resting in some sort of sauce and they were extremely generous with the crab. I loved that you could control the ratio with each bite. I wish I had taken pictures of the menu and its description, but all you need to know is that it's the BEST Mac and cheese I've ever had. I was floored that it wasn't mentioned in any review nor pictures. Maybe it's a new addition. Don't walk, RUN if you're nearby. You won't regret it and it will be worth the wait. I forgot all about my entree and just focused on the Mac.
