    This is the tostada?

Not happy with the food, too much cheese, didn't smell right, tostada was drowning in greasy ground beef

After a damp, chilly Memorial Day weekend camping at Dungeness Spit some warm, gooey Mexican food was what our bellies were in desperate need of and this place delivered. Lured in by the pics of those that have come before us and the solid ratings we decided to stop here before heading to the ferries and joining the rest of Seattle on the migration home. We were seated promptly and served with warm chips and salsa...they brought a second round after we gobbled up basket 1. The food was ready quick, served hot, and the burrito and enchilada sauces were so flavorful and tasty. We stopped in and were able to take advantage of their lunch special (11-3, I think?). Good options for kiddos too! We all cleaned our plates. It's your classic family Mexican restaurant ambience with happy, healthy plants, lively music, and colorful (wooden) parrots hanging from the ceiling. Reminded us a tiny bit of the Tiki Room! In you are passing through Sequim this is a worthwhile stop to fill that belly!

Solid Mexican food. My family in Sequim dines here often, & when we visit we enjoy a meal here. My favorite is the Ceviche Appetizer $14 for a large fresh quantity. Everything else we've had here is good.

Number 72 - enchilada, chile relleno, and a chimichanga.

Hands down best Mexican food in Sequim. Just need to add menudo to the menu! We had the mole and tacos el carbon. Both were fantastic.

The food used to be good here but our last takeout order was sub-par. Only got a bite or two down before throwing it out

Dirty dishes are picked up promptly. Servers are on top of their game. Menu is fun, easy to read and has plenty of options. I've been coming here for years. They've always had fresh ingredients (no brown guac-- hate that!!) and well plated meal. I had taquitos and my partner had some type of chicken plate. Honestly, the plate looked even better than the photos. I can never finish a meal and I made the stretch to make sure to finish mine. Really love trying new things here because I'm never disappointed. Yum!

They salsa is fresh and amazing. Horchata is on point. My american style tacos were great. They have other dishes that usual only Mexican people order, which I am vwry eager to try (I was just dying for tacos a la americano that day). I very much enjoy that they offer pintos as a side, and the menu is vast. It is very clean, fresh, warm and portions are good. I was very pleased. I think people do not know the difference between a taqueria and a cantina, and I think that may be why there are some lower reviews, but I was pleased and felt very at-home here. service was amazing and I left full and happy.

Baja Cantina - There is the other half of my family. They would not let 11 of us sit together. So we were in different rooms with empty tables between.

It was really crowded, but I was glad we got a table without a wait. The waitresses all seemed very polite and happy. I was going to try their famous Apple Pancake, but then saw the Raspberry Lemon Bar French Toast breakfast special. The flavor was terrific, and the texture of the French toast was the best I've ever experienced. My mom liked the look of my raspberry syrup so much, that she asked the waitress to take away her maple, and bring raspberry for her pancakes. I also tried their very popular bacon. It had great flavor, but was very dry. Next time, I'd ask for it limp. I guess the crispy bacon is really popular, but wasn't really my thing. The flavor it was so amazing, though, that I can't wait to try it again, just less cooked. The Hawaiian Sunrise mocktail tasted so much like cherry, that I couldn't taste the pineapple that much, but the hot chocolate was seriously the best hot chocolate I've ever had. It was so creamy and sweet, and just the right strength of chocolate flavor.
