Everything you want in a locally owned burrito restaurant. Colorful decor, all the usual Mexican favs (chile relleño, burritos, nachos, etc etc). They have a veggie burrito. They have a whole salsa bar with yummy salsa. Unpretentious. Cheap AND good. Friendly. We just used the drive thru the 2x we've come here. After taking the Coho ferry from Victoria this is a great, quick stop to get a yummy burrito (or any Mexican food) while heading on the road back home. Husband got the adobada and I got the carnitas. I just got Fast Burritos from DoorDash again. I got a chicken burrito bowl again, and this time the portion of each part was a bit bigger, and there was rice. I guess the last time was just a fluke. Looking for a quick lunch before heading home and stopped by. They DO NOT make your traditional authentic street tacos (their version is much bigger with guacamole) so I was initially disappointed. Went with 5 taquitos for $6 and it was an amazing bargain. Also tried a churro and their horchata. Most of the menu has a meal for $9 or less which is super cheap! They have really good authentic Mexican food. My favorite is the Carne Asada burrito. They also have this roasted hot sauce that should be bottled and sold separately. Love this place. I have always loved Fast Burrito. Usually fast food places aren't that great, and with mexican food they just don't measure up but this place is so delicious. I usually get the california burrito and add fries instead of potatoes. The service is great and fast. They allow lots of substitutions/special requests. Their kids meals are good too. They are certainly fast. I've probably eaten here 8-10 times, and it's always fast. Things I recommend: -the #1: two chicken enchiladas with rice and beans (comes in around $8-9). -chicken adobado taco - standard beans and cheese burrito (a bit overpriced for what it is, and sometimes it's not heated enough.) Still a solid choice though. things I'm not wild about: -veggie burrito (too much lettuce, not enough beans, not much flavor) -regular chicken taco overall it's a convenient, solid spot for when you're in a certain mood. really stands in at about 3.5 stars for me. They did not lie when they named this place 'Fast'. This place is a fastfood-type Mexican where you order from the counter and they bring out your food. They also have take out and a drive-thru! Which I thought was moving quite fast for a Mexican Restaurant. Their portion sizes were HUGE. Seriously, this was the biggest burrito and chimichanga I've ever seen (and for the price). My chimichinga was divine! It had lettuce, beans, beef, cheese topped with sour cream and guacamole (moderately chunky, my favorite). The only thing I (my OCD) noticed though is that at one end, there wasn't a lot of beef and towards the other end was where most of the meat was, but I still enjoyed every bite. The combo also had more beans on the side, rice and Pico de Gallo. The burrito was lackluster though. We were disappointed considering the server said it was their most popular burrito. It had fries which made it a little bit dry. My boyfriend tries to eat it with the extra guac and sour cream I had (which was a lot yuuum) and picked out some fries but he ultimately still did not enjoy the burrito. I think judging from my experience, for the price, service and quality of food I had, it will still be 5 stars (don't expect fanciness from this joint, but it was yummy to my tummy) but my boyfriend will probably argue otherwise read more

Dang, as much as I hate to say it, this place has slipped even further. Friday afternoon, ordered a carnitas burrito, chili relleno burrito, 5 rolled tacos. Rolled tacos were a bit over, but not too bad. Guac and toppings were fresh. Carnitas burrito was just shredded pork. No seasoning, no crispy bits. Like someone just did a shoulder in a crockpot with no seasoning. Guacamole/pico on the burrito tasted like it had been sitting for a week. Maybe the pico was old? IDK, but it was nasty. The carne asada on previous visits over the past year has been pretty hit and miss. The salsa bar is good. Sad to say after 8 years, we're probably done with Fast Burritos. read more
