BlackBerry BBQ (substituted burger patty with grilled chicken) and sweet potato fries
    Kimberly S.

I drove from Port Angeles on a work trip because my mom's name is Joyce and I wanted to share some fun with my family! The food was yummy and the service was great. They had sold out of most pie but I got there late in the day. They also have a convenient drive thru!

New owners, new menu! Still great food/service. This is a great, small town café to support when visiting the Olympic Peninsula.

Just found another hidden gem. Staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions. We had a group of six. We ordered lunch and everyone enjoyed their food. The blackberry bbq sauce is a must try. I had the patty melt. It was tasty. Several in our group had the four bean salad side and enjoyed itThe tater tots were crispy and delicious. And the pies were so fresh and delicious. Not many tables, but well worth the trip to try the food and desserts.

I had the chicken fried steak and it hit the spot after a morning hike. Probably the best I've ever had. Definitely nailed the comfort food. The woman who helped me was cherry and so nice! Love the outdoor seating too.

Whenever we're near Joyce, the Blackberry Cafe is a must stop for slices of their Blackberry Pie. This is the best blackberry pie anywhere, including the ones I make. The crust is delicious and the slices are thick with delicious blackberries which are sweetened perfectly. This is definitely a 5 star pie and since I make them I understand the effort that goes into making a delicious pie. Tho at $9.00 a slice now, the price has become a bit steep - luckily the slices are large enough that two can share. Maybe next time I'll call in advance and order a whole pie for $36

Service was amazing, the server was super friendly. Food is AWESOME! My girlfriend hates pancakes, like absolutely despises them, but she loved the blackberry pancakes. The eggs are absolutely amazing too, literally perfect. We both work in the food industry so we are rather picky but this place is awesome. Highly recommend!!!

Yummy patty melt after a long hike! The special soup was brisket chili and was very good. Sweet server. Glad we stopped!

I had the chickpea burger, which fell apart as soon as you held it (but the bun was delicious). The truffle parm fries upgrade was 1000% worth it. My partner had the whirly burger with clam chowder (which she said was local but not made in house). Both were yum! The clam chowder was perfectly creamy (not chunky if that's more your speed) but had little clams. The blackberry pie (not pictured because we ate too fast) was also so sweet and had the best crust! Service was kind and helpful when asked. You order at the bar and then clean up after yourself. There is a lot of seating inside and outside (under cover, as well). After we were done, we walked the grounds to find some chickens and emu!

I like that you order with the cashier and they deliver the food to your table, so it's like partial food service. This is great for people coming in groups so you don't have to worry about splitting the bill. I ordered a grilled cheese with cheddar, and egg added inside. I do wish the cheese was a little more melted, but the bread was perfectly crispy and soft. For my side I chose the tomato bisque, which was pretty creamy and lacked a strong, tangy tomato flavor. I would skip the tomato soup next time and opt for a different side. The sweet potato fries were DELICIOUS, they were so crispy on the outside and not soggy. I do wish they had different sizes for the sides, because the full order of sweet potato fries is huge and a little excessive if you're already ordering an entree that come with a side. There is an extra charge for ranch dipping. My friends were all happy with their food. There is a bathroom that also brings you to free roaming chicken! I do want to come back to try their ice cream and pies!!!

I quickly identified this as the most likely place in Port Angeles to sate our hunger and thirst! We were not disappointed!. The Main Street is humble but all-American. They were perfectly fried with a crunchy exterior, all heightened by a lovely drizzle of honey. 5/5 Fried Chicken Sandwich - This sandwich was a monstrosity! If I were Sasquatch, I'd still be full after eating this. They practically put two fillets into one sandwich. The breading was flavorful, and the chicken was incredibly juicy and tender. I definitely appreciated the generous portion size. 4/5 Ahi Tuna - Deliciously fresh and simple. The tuna was lightly seared and served sashimi-style with a perfect rare interior. Being so close to the ocean makes you appreciate how fresh seafood can taste, and they deliver that here. It's lightly dressed with soy sauce and citrus to bring out the natural flavor of the fish. 5/5 Service & Atmosphere - The service was great, and we were seated quickly. (balsamic vinegar goodness) Menu is somewhat small but they have a great Chicken sandwich that is perfection in crunch, best batter Ive had (since Oak in Seattle. I think it originally was the sister to Spruce but changed owners.?) The other star dish is pork schnitzel, tasty all around and I love the capers, the red cabbage side, it's not too big, so you can finish the meal. (which is perfect as I don't think it would carry well to reheat due to gravy) I can't forget to compliment the service. Our waiter checked on us often, gave suggestions when we asked, water always was refilled which we appreciated so much. Service is lost nowadays but not here! So come here for a small plate and specialty cocktails or craft beer night or a full meal. The only underwhelming item was the side of fries that come with the sandwich was meh, but they do have decorated ones you can order as side that might be more tasty.
