Stopped in as we were driving through town. We were seated quickly with our server coming quickly with menus and waters. Menu is super straight forward with burgers and salads on the one side and wraps appetizer and soups on the other. Menu is well laid out with lots of burger choices and several salads to choose from. Hubbs had a cup of chowder, came out hot and full flavored. He also ordered the French dip, came with side winder fries, which are big and delicious. I ordered the Oriental chicken salad which was big and flavor filled. Very tasty and lots of chicken!! As this IS a bar and grill, there were tvs on with sports, pool tables being used and various conversations going on...however WE could still talk and be heard w/o shouting. THE REALEST REVIEW YOULL GET ABOUT THIS PLACE. The food was actually pretty good, but the service was so bad I can't give this place anything more than 1 star. We sat down and waited almost 30 minutes without even getting water. The same server walked past me probably 5 times while I was trying to get her attention and ask if we could order, and she just kept ignoring me. Meanwhile, the two white couples sitting right next to us were constantly being checked on and getting service. I'm brown, and after watching this happen over and over, it genuinely felt like I was being treated differently because of my race. Then a guy I was talking to had his son come inside just to ask his parents to order something for him. He looked around 20 or 21, and they immediately kicked him out. He wasn't causing any problems or doing anything disrespectful. The whole interaction was just unnecessarily rude. The ordering made absolutely no sense either. I tried ordering onion rings and was told I couldn't order any more food, while the people next to us were literally still ordering food. Then I was told I could order them for takeout, so I sat back down, and suddenly I was told takeout wasn't allowed either. I ended up waiting around 40 minutes just to order. The crazy part is some of the food was actually really good. The mac and cheese balls were really good and so were the fries. The elk burger was easily the worst thing we ordered and basically just tasted like a regular burger. I probably would've rated the food pretty well on its own, but the service completely ruined the experience. The place inside is also pretty nice. They have a nice bar and pool tables. So mad I ate 7 bites max and threw away their terrible service food. I'm not going to upload any photos, almost threw up looking at it because of the service I received. read more

This place is right off the highway 101 and the parking is fabulous. Huge parking lot. Outside is right beside an airport. It's typical bar and grill decor, a sports pub vibe. 2 Pool tables, 6 or 7 large screen TV's all were on and playing. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. We stopped here because it was on way to Ruby beach. I had the french dip and it was pretty bland, the au jus was bland. Fried pickles were undercooked and not good! The fries however were epic! Probably the best I have had in years! I had to ask the waitress how they were made! They are store bought from sisco. (Hard to believe because they were so delicious!) The food here was pretty good, a pretty solid burger. I got the elk burger, but I didn't really taste a difference between it and a regular beef burger. The fries were great and really crispy, definitely loved those. In general, the vibe wasn't too exciting but it seemed to be a neighborhood spot. read more

service was ok Food was TERRIBLE. $15 ceaser salad ..., showed up in a disgusting looking plastic bowl, 4 cups of lettuce, a tbsp of parm cheese, a tomato wedge ( not a lemon wedge ) and a plastic lidded container with dressing in it thrown on the side with a slice of some random bread that was not garlic , sourdough or even French bc it had seeds in it ... oh and my salad gross croutons and tonadd insult to injury I got a couple of onions to top it all off. How hard is it to serve a salad in a chilled glass bowl, mix the salad with dressing use better croutons add a lemon wedge and then charge $15 freaking dollars. Seriously. My daughter just wanted " fries" with a side of brown gravy that they advertised. The "Fries" are NOT fries they look like nothing I've ever seen called fries .. think of maybe a comma (' ) shape made from maybe a potato served with brown gravy .. brown was the gravy ... no taste. I dislike leaving negative feedback but we've been sitting here for over a half hour after ordering appetizers. Kitchen is agonizingly slow.

Decent food, but nothing to come back for, multiple items they didn't have but weren't told until 10 mins after ordering. Service was pitiful, waitress spent more time eating or outside smoking, than checking on customers. Empty beers for 10 mins before having to flag her down. Gratuity included at the end was the icing on the cake. I'd pass next time I'm in town. read more

We have eaten here before but both times the service is AMAZING! The food is so good! We always get a burger because their burgers are so good! The Caprese burger is my favorite! My husband and I went here after a very long day of driving and hiking in Olympic NP. We waited 15 minutes for our server to take our drink order and then everyone was being told that food would take an hour and 30 minutes due to the kitchen being slammed. My husband and I were just confused how the restaurant was not able to accommodate to the rush of people.. maybe because we are in the off season? Idk! My husband ordered a burrito and then was told 20 minutes later that they ran out of burritos so he ordered chicken tenders which were so greasy and the fries were burnt. We were asked to show our id's! Haven't had to do that for many years! After a certain time, they card everyone. Plenty of tables and booths throughout, with fun decorations. A bar area and two pool tables, plus tv's throughout the rooms. I ordered the Calamari fries off the appetizer section of the menu, plus a house salad. My husband ordered the nachos off the apps menu as well. My calamari came out quickly, but everything else took awhile. Not sure why, since two of the three items were considered appetizers. The calamari was very crispy on the outside and tender meat inside. Yum! The salad was pretty basic, although very small for $8. It did come with a half slice of grilled bread. We went to blakeslee's for dinner. The is one of the only restaurants/ bars in forks. Upon entry, they were asking EVERYONE for ID, including people who looked like they're well over 45 (let alone 21). The inside is a bit dated but there is plenty of seating and a large bar in the back, with two pool tables. The food was just ok; caprese burger was dry but the fries were good. Note, all the apps on the menu are deep fried. Service was fine; the waitress was working hard to accommodate customers. I went here because I was told this is the closest place to a "bar" in town. It closed at 10pm the night I went and only stayed open until midnight on the weekends. It seemed like more of a restaurant than a bar but they did have 2 pool tables over in the corner. I needed something decent to take home to my air b&b so I ordered the oriental chicken salad and the fried shrimp meal. The shrimp was ok but I didn't want to eat much fried food on this trip and unfortunately there are very very few options in Forks. The salad was very lackluster for the price and the "chicken" was inedible. I sat the bar and talked briefly to a couple of the bartenders. They didn't seem interested at all in making conversation with guests. Two older guys sitting at the bar next to me made me uncomfortable so I left. I also got id'd 3 times since I walked in the door, which I'll be 40 in November, I know I look younger than I am but id'ing 3 times seems excessive. Basically this place is the latest hangout in town with bar food. Not a destination place to go to. read more

We asked to sit outside in the large covered area which is where the smokers go. All the tables, benches and the floor were absolutely disgusting. Ashes everywhere, tables have never been cleaned the the floor had spiderwebs and dust bunnies. When we asked for a cloth so we could at least wipe the bench off before sitting we were told no. They only have clothes to use for customers inside. Well we were customers who chose to eat outside but that didn't matter. Rude management and greeter. Gave 2 stars because food was ok. read more

I recently visited Forks as a base to explore Olympic National Park and while the town is small and doesn't have much, they have Blakeslee's Bar & Grill and their awesome nachos! I was in Forks for two nights and ate at Blakeslee's both nights. Each time was great and was met with great service and personable bar tenders. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here as it had that small town feel and the restaurant served up some good eats. Both nights I had the nachos and the veggie wrap with fries. The fries were REALLY good and kept well as the first night I ordered the veggie wrap to go and ate it for lunch the next day. I also tried their roasted tomato and Gouda soup, which was also really good. If you're ever in Forks give this place a try! read more

My husband and I stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon, and we were pleasantly surprised! I ordered the oriental chicken salad, and it was so good--the dressing was flavorful, and the greens were super fresh. We also shared the chicken wings, which were really tasty. We went in on our first day in Forks for a beer, ended up having onion rings that were very tasty. The service was great and the staff friendly. We were impressed so we went back there our second night to have dinner. I had the Chicken Bacon Ranch Salad and my husband had the Fish Burger, we were both incredibly good. We splurged for dessert-we shared the Toffee Cake-it was OMG delicious, even my husband who can be Mr Picky and only wanted one bite ended up eating half. We had a hefeweizen (good) and a hard cider (quite good). We had a reuben with onion rings, and a soup & salad combo. The salad was pedestrian, nothing special at all. The chowder (an uncharge from regular soup) was tasty and interestingly herbed -- in short ok, but I wouldn't get it again. The onion rings were great -- the highlight of our visit. The reuben was ok, though I've had better. So the net on the food was "good beer, good onion rings, most of the food passable but nothing special". The atmosphere was of an old-fashioned bar & grill, the kind with TVs scattered about showing sports, several reasonably friendly bar tenders, and the look of a place that gets rowdy on a Friday night, and busy for trivia night. Then there's the matter of the invoice and what we were charged -- the amount due wasn't the same as the total of the items listed on the invoice. It was off by less than $1, but it's pretty strange, one wonders where the accumulated errors from multiple patrons ends up (we were charged $0.82 more than the sum of the items on the ticket - see the associated image). We know that Blakeslee's is well loved in Forks - I wish we could say we loved it, but a better description would be that we got a decent but unremarkable meal there on a rainy afternoon. Not many options for bars with food in Forks so we tried this place. It's OK. - Fish and chips (breaded cod on the menu): not bad but bland. Fat curly fries are too fat, gimmicky; not a good substitute for regular-cut fries. Coleslaw is weak. - Service was slow; only one server working the tables. This was my first time at Blakeslee's. It's a small town bar and grill with a divey atmosphere offering billiards and a full bar. The caprese burger is to DIE for! I was intrigued by this Italian-American fusion. The burger was juicy, the balsamic tomatoes were perfectly bright and citrusy. The staff were so kind, patient, and let us feel like we all belonged. Very interesting stop in Forks, Washington! We were looking for a place to grab lunch and the options are limited so we opted to eat here. As soon as we walked in, we were offered a buffalo fart, took us a minute to figure out what that was, but it is some kind of shot. The place was pretty lively, we asked to sit outside, but we're told that is the smoking area only. We ended up ordering a couple of beers and some food and sat outside anyway as was such a beautiful day. It was a long drive back to our hotel in Port Angeles so we decided to take a chance and stop for lunch in Forks. There aren't many options and when we pulled up here, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. At around 2:30 on a Wednesday afternoon there were a fair number of tables seated. Our server was lovely-very warm and friendly and kept the refills coming. I got the veggie wrap (all fresh chopped veggies with pesto mayo. It came with large seasoned curly fries which were really good. I was super hungry from a day of hiking and that lunch really hit the spot. Came here on a whim bc we were starving the day we drove into Forks. Coincidentally, we stayed in the tiny house resort right across the street from this place. You had to show ID after 3 PM. The food was delicious, exactly what you'd expect from a diner. We had an assortment of appetizers, which included french fries and gravy, wings, salads, onion rings. All were delicious! We also ordered several of their burgers and a chicken sandwich. Be sure to get their fries because they cut them special and they were incredible. Good service, good location, pricing was decent, and overall we enjoyed the food.
