There was always a massive line here when we passed here so I thought it must be a great burger place. Walking in there was no place to sit. There is ample seating but it was busy. After our order was ready someone got up and left so we were able to sit down but the tables weren't getting cleaned off in between people. I don't know if this is due to the quick turnaround of people trying to get a seat. The burgers weren't bad but nothing really special. Just an average burger. I accidently ordered the super burger and man, that thing is massive. I could only finish half of it. It was almost the size of my face. There wasn't much sauce on it. It was a pretty dry burger. Earlier that day, we had spent most of the day hiking through the Hoh Rain Forest and had only eaten a few snack bars to hold us over. By the time we arrived at Sully's around 6:45 p.m., we were starving. We chose Sully's because of its excellent reviews and were looking forward to a good meal. We were told there would be a 45-minute wait for a couple of hamburgers. That seemed like a long time, but we understood they were busy, so we placed our order and went grocery shopping to pass the time. When we returned, we waited even longer. We noticed employees were already shutting down the back dining area where we were sitting. I then heard an order number called that was higher than ours, so I went to the counter to ask how much longer it would be. The employee searched for our ticket but couldn't find it. The young lady who had taken our order simply said, "We can refund your money." That wasn't the point. I didn't want a refund--I wanted the food we had already waited nearly an hour for. Instead of immediately remaking our order, we were told we would have to place the order again and that it would go to the back of the line because our original ticket had been lost. When I questioned why we should have to wait even longer for a mistake that wasn't ours, she said she would have to pay for the lost ticket out of her own pocket. While I understand mistakes happen, customers shouldn't be penalized because an employee misplaced an order. By this point, it felt like the staff was more interested in closing and going home than taking care of the customers who were already waiting. I later realized they closed at 8:00 p.m., and it certainly felt like they simply didn't want to make our food. The employee showed very little concern and made no real effort to correct the situation. A sincere apology and remaking the order immediately would have gone a long way. I can't comment on the quality of the food because we never received it. What I can comment on is the customer service, and it was extremely disappointing. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I know mistakes happen. Losing an order isn't what defines a business--it's how the business responds when that mistake occurs. Great customer service means making things right. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here. Based on our experience, I can't recommend Sully's Drive-In. There are plenty of restaurants that value their customers enough to fix a mistake rather than make the customer pay the price for it. read more

We stopped by Sully's for a late lunch on our way back from the Hoh Rainforest. There are not too many restaurants in the small city of Forks and this is a spot with higher ratings. When we walked in, it was bustling! Their menu consists of your typical diner fare like burgers, sandwiches, fries, ice cream and shakes. They also had chili, fried seafood items and interestingly, tacos. Despite it being called a "drive-in", they actually have plenty of seating inside and a few plastic picnic tables outside. When we placed our order, the cashier wrote it down manually on a paper ticket, (using codes and abbreviations for our burger customizations)! You just don't see that anymore these days. Even with their old-fashioned ways, they were still just as efficient as anywhere else. We got our order in less than 10 minutes. The four of us each got a burger and we shared the medium-sized fries. All burgers include their special sauce of mustard, mayo and relish, so make sure you specify if you don't want it. I had their Cheese Deluxe which was a single patty with onion, tomato, lettuce, cheese and the special sauce. I normally don't like mustard and relish, but it was actually pretty tasty on the burger. Maybe I was just super hungry, but the burger was delicious and I devoured it. My mom enjoyed the Chalet Burger which had Swiss cheese, bacon and mushrooms, while my other family members also liked their cheeseburgers. I forgot to capture the prices, but they were on par with what we'd expect for fast food. As for the fries, they were crisp and served super hot, but SO oily. I know all fries are greasy, but these completely soaked through the bag with oil and even through the napkin we had under the bag. We're from Los Angeles so we're used to having many options to choose from. Being in this small town, we were very limited in options but it did not disappoint at all. I subbed out the fries for tater tots as I saw they were the same price on the menu, and the cashier said it was no problem! Chicken strips and tots were both very crispy and crunchy! Coleslaw was creamier than others I've had before, but still yummy! Fishwich ($5.50): Pretty decent fish sandwich!
