Great food and service!! The corned beef hash was delicious and the biscuits and gravy was almost as good as my mom's. The polenta black bean egg dish was delicious. The waitstaff was sooo nice! read more

Blue Moose is very popular breakfast and brunch in Port Townsend, so if you are going on a weekend, I'd definitely try to get there before 10am. We came around 10:30 on a Sunday and waited about half an hour for seating for two and about another 20 minutes for food. Service is friendly and they do their best but were just slammed. Menu has something for everyone without being overwhelming. I had the Sizzlin' Veggie Hash and my breakfast buddy had the Huevos Rancheros. Both were very hearty and satisfying, and actually managed to keep us full until dinnertime. I loved all the vegetables in my hash, the hearty potatoes, and the lovely melted and slightly browned pepper jack cheese on top. The jalapenos added a nice tang and kick. I do wish there had been more chorizo in it, though. read more

I was really looking forward to having breakfast here and having their corned beef hash, which has always been wonderful. We hadn't been to Port Townsend for several years and this has always been my favorite breakfast. The service was great. And we love the funky environment. Our food was marginal -the chunks of corned beef were dry and crispy as though they had been thrown into the deep fryer. And the potatoes were dry. Disappointing breakfast. Maybe next time it'll be different. read more

Amazing food and great prices. This was my first time visiting Port Townsend and I came here based on the great reviews. I ordered pancakes, bacon and sausage and they were cooked to perfection. The pancakes were so light and fluffy and dusted with powdered sugar while the sausage was nice and juicy. My friend had the sauerkraut hash which was very flavorful as well. I love how big the portions are. It's tiny so it feels up quick so try to get there as early as possible to reserve a seat. By the way, they have mimosas! read more

Was in town for the day, so I navigated my way through the crowd (always a good sign) to a spot at the counter. Cool old timey vibe. The food was awesome! Ode to Ina highly recommended. Would definitely return in the future. read more

My first visit to Blue Moose and certainly not my last. The customer service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was perfection. The staff was down a body, but we still didn't feel like we waited too long. 10/10!! read more

Home cooking, big tasty breakfast menu (salmon, cb hash), great coffee (really). Nice staff and customers. A real PNW experience. Expect a wait, but you may be surprised with quick seating. If it's open, walk over to the marine salvage place next door. read more

If you are looking for a Dennys or IHOP experience then this place isn't for you. We stumbled on this place while driving in Port Townsend and discovered a gem. It's located in the middle of a marina related commercial area. The menu is breakfast oriented and absolutely delicious, generous portions, mostly made from scratch and a great value for the price. The staff is engaging and treat you like they've known you forever. The only down side is it's crowded and there is a bit of a wait to get seated. While waiting you can sit outside with a cup of delicious coffee and relax and read the menu. Tl;dr very good food, great atmosphere worth the wait. read more

An absolute must eat place. My fave is a cup of hot lemon ginger tea, a jelly jar of champagne, a classic scooter and a side of gravy!!!!!! Food is amazing. Fresh, hot, fast. Prepare to patiently wait and for God's sake be a table sharer!!!!!! World's Best Cup of Coffee too!?!?!?! We love you guys. See ya tomorrow. read more

Great location just down the street our hotel. My wife and I really enjoyed the food, service, and variety.

Loved this cute spot. Service was excellent, enjoyed the quaint decor. My Huevos rancheros were so tasty! I'm visiting for a week or two, definitely stoping by before I depart! read more

I'd give 6 stars if I could! Hard to go to any other breakfast spot when we're in port Angeles. They have fun options, the Ode to Ina lives rent free in my head and heart. Maritime diner feels with bomb vegetarian options too. The sweetest service, your liberal auntie runs this place. There was a small wait so we sat at the counter and ate warmed sour cream cardamom coffee cake with some good ol drip, and then got seated and ugh just truly immaculate food and vibes, eat here. read more

Best breakfast place in Port Townsend, bar none! Always great food and service. Highly recommended!

We stopped by on a Sunday morning. Food was good, service was friendly! They had us seated within 20mins, the place was busy but everyone seemed happy and enjoying their food. Menu variety was great for everyone. We were super happy with our food choice and loved that they had locally roasted coffee beans. We sat outside with our Pup and had no issues. Highly recommend! read more

Sure it's in a marina. And maybe parking is hit and miss. And maybe you'll like the kitsch in the marina or inside the restaurant. And then the food. Very good and creative. Our table had three things that were well worth having again. The smoked salmon scramble, the smoked salmon omlette, and Ina which is a polenta with black beans and corn topped with a fried egg and a nut based patty that was very enjoyable. The coffee *with* some cream was also good (I'm somewhat of a coffee snob). The folks here are incredibly attentive and welcoming with their service. We have been here a number of times before and make it a required stop in Port Townsend. read more

The food was delicious! Best breakfast I've had in the area and we travel here every year. Staff was attentive, friendly and cute. Coffee is great, from the nearby Sunshine Co. Bacon! OMG Popular place , so parking is not easy to find, but it is SO worth it! Looking forward to our next PT trip to return to the Blue Moose!!! read more

I'm pretty much a regular at the Moose so I don't know why I haven't written a review before today! I have NEVER had anything but a terrific meal here. I used to go with scooters and the South of the Border eggs with jalapeños but a couple of years ago I tried the Corned Beef hash and have never gone back. There are serious chunks of corned beef in the hash and they are thrown on the flattop with the potatoes and onions so there's a nice crisp on most of the pieces. The seasoning on the beef is terrific and potatoes are melt-in-your mouth! We get the hash with three over easy eggs and they are exactly that way. Not overcooked. Service is prompt and the staff is friendly. I'm still amazed that so many meals come out of that tiny kitchen. Yes on weekends you'd better expect a line. But if the weather's nice and it's Uber busy, we order ours to go and pop over to the beach and sit on a log to eat. It's perfect! read more

Substantial quantities of great diner food served by friendly waitresses. We went there two days in a row! read more

We stopped in on Sunday at noon - prime time for this popular place, so we knew a wait was inevitable. It was a 30 minute wait, but they give you a little buzzer to hold, there are places to sit and there's coffee to drink while you wait, so not terrible. Once we were seated, it took another 10 minutes or so to get our water service. The menu is massive, really lots of good sounding options. Our food came out quickly and was hot and tasty. I had the "Ode to Ina" which is a complicated dish that works great - polenta, eggs, an amazing vegetarian meat patty, and a remoulade sauce with a hint of chipotle. Portions are ample, but not excessive, except for the pancake, which is about an inch thick. My bff had simple poached eggs, which were perfect, and very reasonably priced. Wonderful funky atmosphere, lots of love put into the place, and many more things to try, but if you are really hungry when you arrive, bring snacks for the wait! read more

So good... what else is there to say. Loved the food, the service and the atmosphere! Definitely worth a visit.

The breakfast burritos! Might just be the best one I've had. Got a regular one adding avocado and bacon. Love the vibe of this spot.

Just great and reasonably priced food. Lots of variety. The staff are great, friendly and efficient.

While the seating area is a little smaller and the parking is pretty full - it is definitely worth the stop. We were seated immediately and got our food pretty quickly too. It has a very cute small-town diner feel and the food was amazing - expect to leave with a very full stomach. Portions were awesome and not for a bad price! read more

The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The hash was excellent and there was way too much of it. We shared it and still took some back home. I recommend this as a breakfast spot. read more

The Blue Moose is a funky little place down in the industrial marine area. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. The area is quite small, I didn't count the tables, but there's probably about 10 2-tops and 4-tops combined. Their kitchen is super tiny, about the size of a large walk-in closet, so your meal may take a while if they are at capacity. That said, the food is great! Most, if not all, of their dishes are made from scratch. The corned beef hash and biscuits are delicious. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They are very laid back and don't press you for time in an attempt to turn tables, but keep this in mind when it's busy, and please be considerate of other guests waiting to dine. A little courtesy and thoughtfulness feels good, especially these days. read more

A great place for breakfast, super friendly service and great food make this a gem. Do come hungry, the portions are generous and the menu has lots of great options. The wait was only a few minutes and coffee while we waited was great. We started with the Cardamom coffee cake and then had the "This Ain't no Atkins Special" Breakfast and the Green Eggs and Ham. Both were great and healthy portions. I added an over easy egg to the hash/biscuit combo, I would recommend this for sure. read more

A solid cafe for breakfast. The cafe is located in a ship/boat yard. Always busy and often there is a wait. We all a typical breakfast and that is perhaps why I can't remember specifically what my breakfast partners had. I had their homemade hash with two eggs and it was WONDERFUL! I would highly recommend it. Voted best breakfast at our table. Fun funky atmosphere. This is not your mother's 'Dennys'. read more

Yearly Girls trip and we always stop here for breakfast. Service is quick even if there's a line out the door. What a delight! Order pretty much whatever you want. Staff is polite, friendly and professional. I had a scramble of 2 eggs, spinach, bacon and cheddar cheese. They didn't skimp of spinach like a lot of people do. Potatoes could use a little paprika or smoked paprika, a little bland but still very good! It wasn't busy, but they only do fresh so breakfast took about 10 minutes. I will definitely be back. read more

Food was great but the service was slow and the lady at the cash register was rude. My name is Alexa and one of their Amazon Alexa's went off and I noticed, turned around thinking someone was talking to me, and the lady at the counter acted like I was a crazy person. She looked at me judgingly and said, "Seems like you might need a little more of something..." implying maybe I needed meds or alcohol or something? I don't know what that meant but it made me feel really bad for getting confused. Not to mention it took forever for our food to come out. Won't be going back! read more
