Loco moco - just like we had in Hawaii!
    Jodie C.

My husband and I came here for breakfast and lived it. They are currently having a Hawaiian themed special for breakfast so I ordered the Loco Moco. It's a ground beef patty on a bed of rice with a fried egg on top and then smothered in brown gravy. What could be bad about that! Nothing! It was delicious! My husband had bfast special of eggs (perfectly cooked) and homestyle potatoes thick cut bacon and a side pancake (blueberry). He said the pancakes were melt in your mouth delicious. The staff was so friendly that this place feels like you are at a friend's house. We both had the medium roast coffee and it was very good ( I judge a bfast place by the coffee so this was a strong start) Would totally recommend this place. They had great looking bakery items as well but I was too stuffed from my meal (which I took half of it home - so yay me! Get to have it for lunch too)

BLTA with a side of house made chips

The Riverhouse Bakery and Bistro is warm and welcoming. They make an outstanding corned beef hash and the biscuits are to die for! They also make an excellent BLT, I order mine on toasted sourdough with avocado and a side of house made chips, which are delicious (and addicting). Tho I've yet to taste everything offered in the bakery cases, I can and will sing the praises of the carrot cake and cinnamon rolls. Brava, Riverhouse!

We had an amazing breakfast at Riverhouse. The food was delicious and super fresh. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Place was clean and the music coming from the kitchen was fun too. We hope to come back next time we're in town.

    French toast breakfast

We finally stopped by for breakfast. It was very early when we arrived but people quickly stayed to fill up the seats by the time we left. My husband had the French toast breakfast (amazing brioche bread). I had the river house breakfast. Both were amazing. We took home some to enjoy later. We will make this a routine for sure

    Biscuits and gravy

Tried Riverhouse for the first time with my kiddo this morning, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! And this will become my go to breakfast spot in sequim. I grade breakfast places on the quality of their biscuits and gravy, and most places claim to make homemade gravy and just use the gross white packet sauce, but Riverhouse absolutely knocked it out of the park with their sausage gravy. Like WOW! I myself can make a pretty mean biscuits and gravy meal, but even theirs kick my butt. Hands down the best biscuits and gravy on the Olympic peninsula, and possibly even the state. This place is a MUST try. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to bring the rest of my family in for a meal. You guys are going to become the #1 place in sequim for breakfast.

Pastry case Cheesecake and bread pudding (the two things I've had) are amazing

The best little bistro in Sequim, hidden away on Bell St. Fabulous food. Perfect vibe.

Booked a special event dinner. Menu very limited and Price way out of line. Staff were formal in an unpleasant, less than welcoming way.

It's not large but there were plenty of tables and seats at the bar I honestly cannot remember the name of the drink I had but it hit the spot and wasn't too sweet (always a plus in my book) we also had the Trio of house made dips 3/5 which was chunky hummus, a dried tomato and walnut romesco and feta kopanisti with LOTS of pita bread. I really liked The In Between's logo and interior design, it felt like stepping into the Prohibition era. We ordered a drink each from the Seasonal Summer Menu and shared a hummus plate. The drinks were nothing extraordinary but pretty good, and the hummus plate was a great shareable snack for the two of us. However, the service was super slow and frustrating. The staff were overextended since they were taking on both the bartender and server roles, so it was very difficult to catch their attention. We ended up having to approach them while they were in the middle of making a drink after trying to flag them down for 20 minutes and failing. We were in a bit of a rush towards the end so this was not the best experience, but definitely a bar worth checking out if you're not in a rush and have a lot of patience!

Brussels sprouts are ubiquitous these days, known for…read moretheir hearty health benefits and delicious taste, but this restaurant truly did them right. They were perfectly fried with a crunchy exterior, all heightened by a lovely drizzle of honey. 5/5 Fried Chicken Sandwich - This sandwich was a monstrosity! If I were Sasquatch, I'd still be full after eating this. They practically put two fillets into one sandwich. The breading was flavorful, and the chicken was incredibly juicy and tender. I definitely appreciated the generous portion size. 4/5 Ahi Tuna - Deliciously fresh and simple. The tuna was lightly seared and served sashimi-style with a perfect rare interior. Being so close to the ocean makes you appreciate how fresh seafood can taste, and they deliver that here. It's lightly dressed with soy sauce and citrus to bring out the natural flavor of the fish. 5/5 Service & Atmosphere - The service was great, and we were seated quickly. Our waiter knew the daily specials by heart; he was quick yet succinct in explaining what the restaurant specializes in. I really enjoyed this place!

The bartenders are true mixologist and even have non/ alcoholic cocktails and 25 specialty bitters (dry jan anyone?) I enjoy all their appetizers every thing from, seared ahi tuna, bacon wrapped dates (you get 4 per order), crispy brussel sprouts are crack, they are so good. (balsamic vinegar goodness) Menu is somewhat small but they have a great Chicken sandwich that is perfection in crunch, best batter Ive had (since Oak in Seattle. I think it originally was the sister to Spruce but changed owners.?) The other star dish is pork schnitzel, tasty all around and I love the capers, the red cabbage side, it's not too big, so you can finish the meal. (which is perfect as I don't think it would carry well to reheat due to gravy) I can't forget to compliment the service. Our waiter checked on us often, gave suggestions when we asked, water always was refilled which we appreciated so much. Service is lost nowadays but not here! So come here for a small plate and specialty cocktails or craft beer night or a full meal. The only underwhelming item was the side of fries that come with the sandwich was meh, but they do have decorated ones you can order as side that might be more tasty.

We ended up getting two items on this visit: Cheese Stick ($2.75) - Chewy dough stick about a foot long. The dough seems to be rolled in cheddar cheese and then baked, giving distinct cheese nuggets randomly dispersed throughout. It has good cheese flavor, kind of tangy. Due to the rain, perhaps, all the crisp on the actual dough is gone, so it's just chewy throughout with no skin. (4/5) Cowboy Croissant ($2.75) - Tiny puck, less than three inches across - wish they offered bigger ones! Sharp cheddar, bacon with pesto. Great flavors that complement each other well. The croissant dough tastes a little on the sweet side. Good lamination. (4/5) Pane d'Amore serves some pretty good pastries.
