We've been going to Tootsie's for a number of years now. Usually pretty solid food but this last time, well, the bacon...NOT fully cooked. Eeeww. On both of our sandwiches. Need that crispy bacon, please. Service is pretty solid but yeah, that intercom is a bit unnerving as it sounds like she's really shouting at us. Ambiance is not much more than a tree lined wait line so not much to say there. Nice that the place got new paint job of late so it's looking good. Will NOT pay the price for those onion rings, though. Way too high on that and not worth it. We'll keep going, though, as we love to support local, small business. read more

This cute little pink drive through is essentially a locally owned McDonald's. They have smash burgers, chicken burgers, hot dogs, plus local items like lavender lemonade and locally caught fish and chips. We tried a bacon cheeseburger, a grilled chicken sandwich, and the french fries. I mean this is in the best way possible, but it essentially tasted like a fresher McDonald's. The chicken sandwich came with a whole wheat bun which I appreciated. I has the potential to be great. Its local an the staff was friendly. The food is average and you can either walk up or drive through to order. My issue was the food was cold. and the drinks, ( fountain types ) were packed with ice so very little soda. Another big draw back the do not have WIFI for customers. There's no better fast food burger in town. Their drive through has been consistently busy for as long as I can remember. They have great diversity on their menu, even including a breakfast selection until 11. I'm always a sucker for one of these guys or a double bacon cheese burger with a large seasoned fry. He said the burger was very good and the fries were perfect. Nice and crunchy on the outside but still soft in the middle. I ordered the apple, carrot, and spinach juice. It was yummy and refreshing. I went though tootsie's for the first time today, I am very unhappy with the service I got not to add the fly that we found in our water cup. I hate to be that person but when we had gotten our food they forget 3 of our fries and one of our hamburgers. We went back they fixed what we they had missed and it was okay but then after seeing the fly in my water I am very unsatisfied with the their service and do not think I will be back again. and the girl they had at the window acted like we had hid the bag of fries trying to get more. :( Which was very much not the case! read more

I was so not impressed at all, the prices definitely do match the quantity or quality of the food. The burger patties were thinner than McDonald's, the large order of fries is the same size as McDonald's small...lol it'scrazy but true, I would hate to see there small...lol I was shocked, talking about where's the beef. BYOS: BRING YOUR OWN STRAW If you plan to get a shake -- which they are good shakes and plenty thick -- bring your own straw. Even if it's a standard McDonald's straw, it will still be a thicker straw than the straws at Tootsie's. The bill for two adults was over $20, and at that price range it is not out of line to expect thick straws that do not instantly crush when sucking up a shake. Since it costs more to eat at Tootsie's than McDonald's, DQ, Jack in the Box, or any other fast food chain in Sequim, I want a straw that equals or surpasses the quality of the straws at those places, please. By paying more I expect more, and if Tootsie's won't give more for the customer's dollar then they should lower their prices accordingly, and maybe try smaller portion sizes with the lower prices. Considering the faded-pink Tootsie's building has only become more faded in the 3 years since I've moved here, and the same eyesore banners have been draped across the side advertising gluten-free options and smoothies for the same 3 years, and one side of the reader board has gone untouched announcing the same message for 3 years, it makes me wonder where the money goes when prices and wages have only gone up in the same span of time. The money doesn't appear to be going back into the business, as is proven to me by the building's appearance and their straws which fail to match the caliber of their shakes. Low-quality straws take away from the food-enjoyment experience, and I want to enjoy my food rather than fight with it or wait for it to melt. Of course I'll continue to go when the mood strikes because the food is good though it is hit-and-miss, and the quality is comparable to Frugal's in Port Angeles though not exact, and the service is friendly depending on who is working, and it is a local business that I want to support for the sake of being a good community member who supports local business; but mostly because there are no other options in Sequim for old-school drive-thru burgers and shakes that aren't from a fast food chain, that I know of anyway. Tootsie's wins my repeat business by default for having no competition in their niche marketplace; and it causes me to wonder if no competition may be seen by management as no reason to make the business better. 2.5 stars because I have experienced better, but for having no other competition in city limits it's relatively a-ok. I understand that everything cost money but when you nickel and dime people it just makes the overall experience not as enjoyable. I love their dairy free smoothies, and I love their western burger! However I have two kids who are constantly disappointed. First I got them the kids hamburger meal, and it was a bun and a patty... that was it... so we tried the grilled cheese next, and they used hamburger buns, flipped inside out, and cheese that was barely melted. We had to come home, and add meat, cheese, and condiments to turn it into a sandwich; by that time my food was cold. I use to make a point of stopping here every time I'm in town. Then I moved back and was happy to have a great local burger place nearby. But they have raised the prices to an outrageous point for a drive through. $10+ for a bacon combo is unacceptable when nearby I can get the same thing for $7. I have no issues paying that price when sitting in a nice warm restaurant with quality ingredients, can have a beer, relax and chat with friends. But for a drive through stand that was modeled exactly from Frugals in Port Angeles, Tooties has priced itself right out of business eventually I'm afraid. read more

I would give them 3.5 stars, but I round down... The customer service here is stellar. They are always friendly, fast and thorough. The food is decent. You can order your fries seasoned - I suggest it, they are pretty good. I usually get their grilled chicken sandwich. They use wheat buns - I'm not sure if they are whole wheat but it's good. They used to have a great ranch dressing, I think they may have changed it since the last time I was there around Christmas time. That was a bit of a bummer but the consistently good fries and chicken sandwich makes up for it. read more
