Not sure what to say, but I liked their cold noodles! The soup base was really cold -- nice and slushy.

First of all, I eat and make Mul Naengmyun at home all year long - whether it's winter or not. This restaurant is the Best Naeng Myun place in ALL THE LAND! The chik Mul Naeng Myun is awesome. Knowing this place is the ONLY good thing that came out of my previous marriage! So i still go there - i just need to look side to side first to see if the ex's fam is there LMAO jk!! I DON'T CARE CAUSE IT'S THAT GOOD! i usually take new people here often and I even had a girlfriend who told me not to tell her man that I brought her there because he loves Mul Naengmyun and she wants to introduce him to this place. LOL! IT'S SERIOUS PEOPLE! You gotta get the Hae Mool Pah Jun (Seafood Pancake) with your meal to balance the hot with cold - which I love! Also love the Yook Soo (Korean beef broth drink) they give. This place is located next to hahm ji bach. I never really noticed it until my friend took me. I tried naengmyun before but I didn't like it too much. Surprisingly, I think I like it here! Of course it's probably better because it's their specialty. They have a good variety of banchan, I especially liked the mushrooms, but I'm a mushroom addict to begin with. The samgyupssal was good, too. We had the thinner slices and 2 orders gives you 6 slices + doenjang jjigae. The only thing negative thing is...it's hard to hear each other in here since the table is wide and the sounds bounce everywhere. It feels chaotic even though it wasn't that full. read more

I came here with my friends for dinner and the place is very clean, the staff is very friendly and the food is very diverse and delicious. I had Gam Ja Tang which means "Potato and Pork Soup". Every year when the winter ice thaws and the first hint of warm weather is in the air... I crave a cold bowl of mool neng myun! This place has the best neng myun in town. The noodles are chewy, the toppings are flavorful, and it all swims harmoniously in a delicious bowl of ice cold broth. I get sad when the seasons change and it starts to get cold out... it means I have to get my last bowl of mool neng myun for the year at kum sung and say, "farewell... til next spring!" read more

The broth is very flavorful and with just the right tartness, and I actually love the crushed ice in it. Great for a hot summer day! They have excellent maneul sam gyup sahl (garlic pork belly), and their haemul boochim (fried seafood pancake) is huge and crispy and chock full of seafood. Service here is great. Lots of good side dishes. Had the halabuji kimchi bulgogi. The meat is delicious and the kimchi really tastes like it's been aged, which is good! The soup in it is refreshing too. Been to other Korean restaurants in the Flushing area, and I recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area. And they give the Korean yokurt drink for dessert, a nice way to feel refreshed after a big meal. read more

This place has been my family's go-to for the classic K-BBQ & Naengmyun for over a decade. I went today for the first time since COVID19 and the outdoor dining was awesome. The food is phenomenal as usual, honestly I thought maybe the whole outdoor dining might ruin the experience but didn't have to worry about that at all! The waitresses are always kind and attentive (and they always offer more banchans!! Bless them ). We always go for a choice of meat (our fav- duck/LA Galbi/Samgyups (pork belly) and naengmyun (A MUST! especially when eating BBQ!). Today we couldn't decide so we got the BBQ duck then another extra round of Samgyups and can't forget the naengmyun (today I got Bibim naengmyun and the bf got Mul naengmyun). I started to take pics of everything but by the time we were at the naengmyun stage, we were too busy eating- Can't wait to for our next visit! This is one of my favorite Korean restaurant in Flushing. My always go to items on the menu are: - Hal-Ah-Buh-Ji Bulgogi (Grandpa Style Bulgogi): It's sorta like Shabu-Shabu but thousand times better as it's not water down. I loved the cooked kimchi with this dish and the wasabi dipping sauce. They go perfect together with the meat. I also pour the soup over the rice. - SaeKoMi NaengMyung: Perfect combination of Mool (water) NaengMyung and Bibim (spicy mixed) Naengmyun. If you are like me and can never choose between the two, this is the perfect one for you. However, if you want straightup Mool NaengMyung, I think Mapo has the best one. read more

Went there for a dinner with my friend, and had LA Galbi. Side dishes were completely dry and seemed as a leftover. LA Galbi was not as juicy as I expected. I dont understand why there are so many good reviews honestly. I did not feel welcomed by their staff at all. read more

I used to come to this place often because my parent knows this owner, but even though i know her, honestly this owner is very stingy. When i went here last time with my 2 other friends, we ordered some BBQs, saekomi naengmyun and bibim naengmyun, but the server only took gave us BBQs and bibim naengmyun, and i told her we ordered saekomi too, but she was like "oh my bad" and didn't do anything. That is not the reason i write this tho. The total came out $140? and we wanted to split with credit cards into 3, but the owner says they don't accept the split for some reason. What she said was it was crowded during that time and cashier doesn't have time to do split charge. But the cashier wasn't doing anything but just staring at us. Atmosphere: since i'm korean i understand their atmosphere, but most of the customers were 50s korean people, and they were drunk and noisy. They yelled and threatened other people too. read more

Came here with a friend from out of the country on a rainy day and was immediately greeted when walking in by the staff members and a lady who seemed to run the business. We were sat at the table next to her table while she was slicing up some chives. She was kind enough to give us recommendations and even gave us a complimentary jigae with our meal. Moreover, when our BBQ came out, she took a break from her task and came over to show us different ways to eat the grilled meats which we heartily appreciated. thank Jesus i finally found a place that makes GOOD nengmyun (cold noodles). people just don't know how hard it is to find good neng myun in NY. i've tried BCD, ham ji bach, mapo, some other neng myun house next to mapo, san soo kap san, korea spoon, wonjo, and countless other places. NONE of them know how to make neng myun. NONE. when 2 of my friends suggested this place, i really went with low expectations. i felt like i needed to give up on finding decent neng myun in the city. OMG. there's a reason where there's only 27 reviews for this place. it's because all the moms and dads eat here and you KNOW old school taste buds are right. THIS PLACE IS BOMB DOT COM. i've come here at LEAST 5 times in the past month and i'm just so addicted. the mool nengmyun is simple, clean, nice deep broth color, noodles served perfectly, and oh my geez.. it's just THAT good. i wish their bbq was better. their kalbi, one portion, is 3 strips of kalbi and often times they either give you fatty pieces or torch the crap out of it so you're left with charcoal. they also charge $19.99 for that. RIDICULOUS. i can buy a package of kalbi at h-mart for $23 and get a helluva lot more meat than that. i want to give it one less star for their other menu items but damn yall, this place is for nengmyun and honestly, no other place can compare. it's just SO damn good. read more

After the first chopstick full of cold noodle, I felt tingles happiness going through my body. This was it! The taste I have been looking for! I wasn't impressed. We came here because our usual go-to spot for dinner was closed on Mondays and their infamous yellow awning was enticing. That was about it as far as amusement. The portions for the duck bbq were so small! We couldn't believe it. At HanJoo, we're usually stuffed to the gills. We ordered the portion size for "two" (and by two, I mean two toddlers) and we were scraping the grill for as much meat as we could get. Did I mention the duck meat was laden with fat? I think I came here and made a mistake. The food was incredible don't get me wrong, but what we ordered definitely didn't suit our tastes. We got some cold, spicy noodles and it came with a variety of side dishes and a small cup of broth which was fantastic. Unfortunately for me and my friends, none of us could handle spicy food so we slowly devolved into just ingesting pure ice water to alleviate the fiery pain elevating from our stomachs up. Love this place during the summertime. Chik (arrowroot) naengmyun is delicious. Nice rich broth. Firm noodles. A little spotty as far as toppings. Sometime I get one small piece of meat, other times I will get a few pieces. For $10 I can't complain. Have also tried their hot pot dish of baby octopus and pork neck bones. Well, I didn't grow up with Korean food, so I'm probably not appreciating the nuances. We tried the arrowroot noodle in beef broth. It was quite refreshing on a warm summer evening. A little less refreshing was the $11 price tag. While it tasted good, I can't say that it tasted much better than other arrowroot noodles in a broth at other places. We also tried out their green tea pork belly, which was a bit different. But I guess I'm not really a fan of grilled pork belly -- it seems to lose the melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Definitely prefer it Chinese or Japanese style. But the seafood broth was good. Makes me wish I had doenjang jjigae instead. The side dishes were pretty decent, but not enough quantity-wise. I suppose we could've gotten some more, but it was hard getting the waitress' attention. (Three groups just came in, so it's somewhat understandable).
