This store was one of my favorites but it has become congested and hard to navigate due to so many extra aisles made of product. Went to take my mother in law to the bathroom and had to move the bins to get through. When we got to the bathroom it was filthy! Water all over the floor and toilets a mess. One would think it would be a health code violation having food sit out in the open where kids can touch it, people can sneeze on it, etc. it's been weeks since the door on the self serve donut display has been completely missing. I visit this store about every 6 weeks when I come in town from Rowlett. Very clean, yet set up opposite from the store I frequent in Sachse. I believe stores should be set up the same. Easy to get around and find things However, the store is clean, neat and BUSY! They have it going on at this location. Late night self check line guy "blike" is lazy rude and incompetent. He dresses sloppy and acts like he's trying to remind everyone he's paid by the hour, NOT by the customer. He seems to spend the last hour before closing (at 1am) getting ready to leave, with regular PA announcements that customers should finish up starting as early as 12:15. Fortunately I get to go shopping on the way home from my job, and apparently blike is the new regular guy. Oh and BTW, half of those do it yourself lines(the only ones open at that hour) now close at 12:30 and if you want a hand basket you'll have to walk outside by the locked doors and get one.. that's where he puts them, not by the late night entrance. read more

One of the cleanest, well stocked, and friendliest grocery stores I've visited. I'm pretty angry at some if the negative reviews for this particular store. Mostly because I believe those reviewers have never shopped at at grocery store in a 'bad' area of town. I invite those individuals to visit the Walmart in Balch Springs. Maybe the Carnival grocer that once was in East Dallas. I don't think this Kroger is trying to replicate Central Market or Whole Foods. They have one if the largest selections of vegan and organic items then most grocery chains. I praise them greatly for the effort they are making with the vegan and organic items. Ok, I have had to collect my thoughts to post about this Kroger. Let me start off with the positives. THE EMPLOYEES are the best part of this store. ALWAYS friendly, ALWAYS helpful. Seriously, I have never had a bad dealing with any of them. So, what I am going to say about the store itself, has nothing to do with the employees. First off, this is not Kroger's fault, but there are only 3 stores to choose from in a city that is busting at the seams with people. I live close to Jones Elementary and there is not a grocery store even close to me on my side of town. Yes, there is a Costco but I am a single mom and do not need vats or huge boxes of any product. I could go to the Tom Thumb ALL THE WAY DOWN 205 but that is more out of the way than Kroger. Just the fact that I have to drive to that side of town for a few items, annoys me before I even walk in the door. Again, not Kroger's fault (but part of the big picture of my frustration). Second, the parking is absolutely asinine. The store itself got bigger but parking remains a nightmare. Does not matter the time of the day you go, the parking is nuts. Crazy crowded. Too many businesses crowded around, the fuel center, it is just a mess. Last, any my major complaint is with the food selection. You expanded the store but didn't expand hardly any of the organic selection. We have to choose from the same produce every week. Can we not get in organic corn?? Have you even looked at your organic packaged green beans? Unacceptable!!! IF organic strawberries/blueberries/blackberries are in stock, that is a lucky day. The selection of organic produce is sub par. Also, you expanded the "healthy" section of the store but what I really only see is that you made a larger "healthy" chip and soda/sugary drink selection. If we are to only have one store on this side of town, I wish it were at lease a Kroger Select. read more

ugh. this place thinks it is central market or whole foods or a similar upscale grocery store. which it is clearly not. where do i start? 1) their "organic" section. a total of 3 small rows. really? really? what day and age are we living in? their organic produce is grotesquely overpriced. Super Target in Rowlett = so much better (and unfortunately, so much farther away). 2) overpriced and limited vegetarian section. wow, i am so glad i can buy an Amy's frozen meal for SEVEN dollars! Central Market, which can be pricey, is cheaper than this! a 4 pack of Morningstar corndogs for $6.50? i don't think so, bitch. 3) expensive sushi. i could go across the street for sushi at shogun, which is far better, and cheaper. oh wait, i do. no more dried out sushi for me. 4) crap wine section. WAYYY overpriced, and too much of the same thing. while looking for a pinot grigio, i kept wishing i were at World Market. the same bottle of rex and goliath wine, which is normally 3.99ish at World Market, is 5.99 at this scammy, failure store. 5) rude customers/inept employees. i agree with cathy h., who reviewed Kroger before me... everyone is in such a hurry. good luck with not getting run over in the parking lot. i was even in the card section today, and some bitch hit me with her shopping cart. didn't even say she was sorry. additionally, the employees do NOT understand how to pack the reusable bags. they'll load 2 milk gallons, pudding, wine, and bread (??) in one bag, and a bag of chips and birthday cards in the other (happened today). then you're stuck standing in the heat, hoping some soccer mom doesn't run you over as you rearrange your items in the parking lot. don't even get me started about the parking lot. i have knee problems and a handicap placard, and the last thing i feel like doing after a long grocery trip is wandering around in search of a cart return. fail. i sincerely hope a higher end grocery store with coincidentally lower prices (Kroger's are consecutively higher than Central Market/Whole Foods; REALLY? really? no.) comes to Rockwall in to give this place a run for its money. read more

I like this Kroger, I can find everything I need here. The only complaint is the parking lot is terrible to try and navigate. We are vegetarian and they have a nice selection of products for us to try out. It could be better but not bad. This is the only grocery store I go to in rockwall. read more

I work at the new Kroger on Goliad, I am a selector for clicklist, so I know that we are out of certain things that I needed for the week. I went to this store and I needed Nolan Ryan's beef for stir fry and it was not on the shelf, but I know the meat department can cut more. The guy told me to come back in ten minutes, I was still shopping so I didn't mind waiting. After I was done getting my other groceries I went back the the meat department and It still was not on the shelf, I asked the older women who was behind the counter was very rude and condescending. She kept cutting me off and refused to even check if my order was filled. I will just stick to the store I work at because at least I know that the people who there put there customers first and always make sure they got what they wanted. read more

Krogers bakery use to one that you could count on for a quality custom sheet cake, design and services... Not anymore. I ordered a cake that was to have a editable transfer on it but was never told the size of the transfer was limited in size. I ordered a full sheet cake to serve 50 people for a party and when I went to pick it up is when I found out. The transfer was the size of an 8x10, problem was the cake was twice that size. It really look as if a child did it. You would think someone in the bakery would have called or better yet when the order was placed said it won't cover the whole top, Nope nothing. Ended up going to Costco..... Will never trust Krogers again for any special event! Awful customer service! read more

Hands down the best grocery store in Rockwall. While not perfect, the new location has always had a good selection of products and is well organized. The beer selection is actually very good for a grocery store. The biggest plus for me is that the produce is the next best thing to Whole Foods/Central Market that you can get here. Parking is a nightmare, again because there's no competition. We usually have to go to Central Market to get organic items and great looking produce, meat,cheeses, fresh fish, air-chilled chicken (that means the chicken is not dropped in a vat of bleach, it's put in a refrigerated room to kill bacteria. This store is such a dump...literally. Everytime I go there the front entry is dirty and trash is everywhere. Trash is all over the parking lot and sidewalks and no one from the store cleans it up. It really makes for a bad shopping experience. Hopefully when Tom Thumb opens it gives them some competition and they will clean up their act. The produce is terrible. I go to this store 2 or 3 times a week after work at nite. Only the self check is open ( why stay open late if you can't pay someone to check people out) the people they have in the self check line are AWFUL! Never offer to help scan your big items, always on their phones and start announcing they're closing at 1 am at 12:15am! Apparently they have no management at nite who cares! Also the guy who stocks the frozen food is just rude! I think I've had one stocker the whole time speak to me and not just glare at me. What happened to customer service? Beware of the packaged meats like Top Sirloin in the 2pk. I bought what I thought was 2 nice steaks but because you can not see the second steak you just trust that it's good also. Bad mistake! They hid a very bad looking fat steak under the nice one. This is not what I expect from Kroger. I contacted the Kroger main office and all the did was say we are sorry. My mom and I shopped there yesterday since they had the 4Xs fuel points when you bought gift cards and the guy checking up out was less that mediocre. The gal who was helping people with gift cards, Karlee, she was awesome but man, the checker was awful. No personality, just rushing through. We had to go to customer service because my mom was over charged for all of the cards she bought by $100. We love this grocery store so this really disappointed us. read more

Pharmacy sucks. I have had trouble with refilling online, in person, and with automated phone system. More than a lot the pharmacy screws up and my prescriptions aren't ready. Latest fiasco was I called in on a Saturday, came on Wednesday to pickup and they still needed 30 minutes because of their screwup. There was also the time the head pharmacist wouldn't give me a flu shot until the next day because she didn't want to do one then, even though the sign said no appointment needed! I love Kroger. The groceries are fresh and staff super helpful. The prices are some of the best for groceries in Rockwall.

Local grocery store, good location with average parking. The store is always clean and well stocked. Prices are what you'd expect, more than Wal-Mart but less than Central Market. Workers are friendly and they have most of the items we use. Wish their meat & seafood selection was a little better. Seems to have gone downhill a bit after the recent remodeling. If you're really looking for a well marbled steak and you only have one place to choose from, go to CM or a butcher/speciality store. read more

I have been increasingly disappointed with Kroger Ridge Rockwall. Items not stocked, not enough staff, and parking is dreadful. I have complained many times to the new store manager but it goes nowhere. I have complained to Head Offices and it goes nowhere. SO now I take my business to ALDI a block away, Aldo to Walmart. When i am in Dallas I go to Central Market for some items. I find I have actually SAVED money. Obviously KROGER doesn't care. read more

I love this store!! It's mega close to home, the staff there is every department is friendly and seem like they are happy to be there. They have a great beer and wine selection and the prices on everything is comparable to WalMart who seems to be getting rather proud of themselves. Combine the prices with the uploadable coupons you can do online on the Kroger card and they prices get better. read more

Parking is a bit of a problem but the west side over by Massage Envy is usually available. The store runs out of certain high demand items more often that it should. All of the food and produce is excellent with the exception of the seafood, which is nearly all frozen. As a result, I have to drive all of the way to central market every week. There is a Whole Foods opening in Rowlett in the next year. Thank goodness. read more

This store is GREAT! The reviews on here crack me up...I can't believe some people on here....I got a good laugh! Let me tell you what I think is incorrect and somewhat ignorant statements from some of our friendly neighborhood reviewers! For those that are complaining there aren't enough organic and vegetarian foods available, (apparently only three isles), that is way more than any other small grocery store will ever have. Suck it up and go to a specialty store for your special diet next time...get over it! Yes reviewers, the sushi is more expensive at a grocery store than if you go to a sushi restaurant, you are paying for convenience, get over it! I guess I am surprised to see so much Kroger hate going on. I agree that it is always crowded, but it's a lot better than Wal-Mart! This grocery store has the best variety of any other grocery stores in Rockwall. No, it's not as good as Central Market- it's Kroger. I think they have done a pretty good job with the produce. If you have a Kroger card, you can get some great deals in there! Plus, sometimes if you bring in coupons, they will double them. I think it's a great store. Its a nice clean store but i give it 1 star because it takes forever to get checked out. They expanded the store but they didn't add check out lines. Even the self check and 15 items or less is always slow. They even have a sign that says fast checkouts. Its frustrating enough to wait. I sure dont want to read that sign while I'm waiting. Rockwall doesnt have a good place to buy groceries. Walmart is not good. Tom thumb is ok but small and far north. Target doesnt have much. Costco doesn't have everything. read more

Moved to Heath last year and have found only Kroger to be close enough to shop. Well to say the least the parking is horrible! The place is always packed since they have no competition. (Please build an HEB) I went on Tuesday to pick up some of the buy 10 save 5$ deals. I found out that they had taken off the sale prices for the next weeks sales which meant the "selected" sale products were not identified. This resulted in NONE of the products I guessed at being on sale really being the selected items! A wasted trip which I left at the cash register. I love HEB and miss my store in Houston. This store is over priced and will over charge if they can sneek it by you! Warning be a smart shopper. read more
