Fresh bagels and a very good salted caramel latte! Quiet and relaxing atmosphere for reading or working or chatting with friends and there's also a view of the street below. Service was quick and friendly!

My husband had me put in order for my birthday breakfast. Was so excited to get the lox open face sandwich. He even told me not to worry about the price of $16 dollars. Well, I got an untoasted (asked for double toasted) bagel with plain cream cheese ( asked for dill), two small, dry ferment smelling/ tasting tomato slices, and small amount of capers (that's fine but with the rest, it just upset me). I am really disappointed. I've had this sandwich before after the delivery of my daughter and this is not the quality we received then. I'm upset my husband paid $16 for this out is out 65$ order. On top of it, my husband just let me know his sandwich was gross and the strawberry cream cheese we bought for my 4 kids is liquid like yogurt. None of them ate it. I just feel like I wasted our money because I wanted a special birthday breakfast. Won't make that mistake again. Edit to add- it's the day after and the only thing I've eaten today was the dill cream cheese we bought (8oz) and I am VIOLENTLY ill. No one else ate it and no one else is sick.

Amazing shop, amazing staff, definitely recommend. I've never left a review in my life but I felt this place deserved one. The staff was excellent, played and engaged with my one year old and made him feel so special. Food was great and kitchens were so clean and organized. I really appreciate when places have good sanitation.

Native New Yorker here, checking out the bagel scene. Small but mighty bagel shop if ever I saw one! Bagels available: Plain, everything, Asiago, Asiago jalapeños, sesame, cinnamon, cranberry nut, onion, garlic. We were just stopping through and got The Revi to split. OMG, this bagel sandwich is da bomb. Tender juicy slices of pastrami, avocado, spicy mustard - we got it without cheese (for the hubs and they were super accommodating). I almost turned around the car to get a second one. The hubs also got an apple scone (not your typical flavor!) and it was pretty stuffed, full of flavor. We got a 1/2 dozen bagels to take home, I'll be back to try some of the cream cheese flavors - chive, dill and garlic, strawberry...

I had not been over here for 2 years, I guess because the parking lot controversy after Siren Rock opened next door. Very bad joo-joo with the setup of the existing lot. Well, for 2024, it was a nice surprise to see that The Bagel Lady has expanded in size, with a coffee shop attached for evening customers!. Bonus: Jax Comedy House! A tiny stage, with small tables & chairs, good for a small crowd to enjoy a solo act, maybe a duet. Size, does not, matter, how you use it does. I saw this on a bumper sticker! Back to bagels: The Bagel Lady is the actual owner/operater here, you are buying from the source, the good stuff. I got a delicious smoked salmon Lox on an Asiago Bagel, but I left off the onions & capers. Very fresh, very delicious, very good. Could not hang around for a pastry, but they were looking at me LOL The pecan braid looked too good, and chocolate-iced cinnamon rolls were calling me! More on the menu, I will have to visit soon. Note: The Heath, Texas location, about 7 miles due south from Rockwall, will close in 2 months at end of their lease. A business decision had to be made, Bagel Lady Heath will be saying Hasta La Vista, Baby.

Still good, just a bit too crispy. Service: Friendly, but they dropped the ball at the end. Both drinks ran dry, I sat there forever waiting to pay, and my bottomless coffee was not exactly bottomless. A refill or faster checkout would've made a big difference. Prices: I walked out $30+ lighter, just myself. Breakfast/coffee/tip. The vibe is classic hipster cute with nice decor, but it gets surprisingly loud in there. When we checked in, we were told the wait would be about 40 minutes. While we waited, we watched five different parties--most with groups of three to five people--get seated before us. I know they didn't have reservations because two of those groups actually asked us how to check in before they were seated. After waiting the 40 minutes we were originally quoted, I went back to ask why we still hadn't been seated. Instead of an explanation or an apology, I was simply told, "It's going to be another 40 minutes." I truly don't want to believe this was a race issue, but I can't ignore how the experience made me feel. Came for breakfast for the first time today and life CHANGED…read more If you've ever been confused by the question of what you'd pick as your last meal, look no further than the sourdough breakfast panini. The amount of flavor in that sandwich from the perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, to the shredded Gouda, grilled sourdough bread, tomatoes slices, and arugula will blow. Your. Mind. And once it's blown, you'll then get to pop one of the maple waffle fries that come with it in your mouth (and completely remind me of funnel cake!) and you will feel like life is complete, you have no regrets, and if it all ended today you would be able to die a happy human. Finding flavor like this (which I've only found in a few local spots like Zanatas or Fable and Fire in Rockwall) is an absolute diamond in the rough find for Fate! And after meeting the chef, Michael Shelley (who worked previously at a five star restaurant in Cali and has quite the illustrious history - go look him up!), you'll understand why flavors that you'd only expect to find down in Dallas are blowing your mind sitting at Red Dirt Social in Fate. (He also shared with us that the panini is a special recipe he created while working as a a private chef for a family and they would order it just about every other day. Trust me, I now know completely why.) My partner got the breakfast tacos and they were a totally different and just as delicious flavor palette. Packed with eggs, potatoes, bacon, veggies, and pepper jack cheese. The portions are HUGE. Where else can you find this much flavor in this much food?! I love the great seating options and the lowkey setup of picking your own table, ordering at the front when you're ready, and having it brought out to your table. Only complaint was on my partner's double chai latte where the beans were painfully over roasted and the smoky flavor overpowered the chai entirely, but some extra barista lessons needed aside, we're IN. This will for sure be our new breakfast spot (let's get honest, there aren't that many truly unique and good ones out this way if you want more than your typical diner style eggs, bacon, and pancakes) and we'll be bringing friends from out of town here as well! What a gem!

We sat down at our table at Red Dirt Social to visit for 10 minutes - and the manager (or owner maybe?) commented how his space was built just for this reason - to relax and enjoy time. We never felt rushed, or felt like they wanted our table. That was refreshing! The space is lovely - truly! It was bright, open, minimal decor and it all worked beautifully together. Someone out real thought into decorating this space for people to gather and relax, and it showed. I ordered the pats (oatmeal) with fresh fruit and it was perfect! All the fruit blended well together for my oatmeal. I enjoyed every bite. I cannot wait to bring my husband back to see how much Fate has grown and to eat here once more. It's worth it!

Don't get the steak if you care how it's cooked…read more I ordered medium well, it came out medium rare. The waiter asked if I would cut into it to check other parts. I refused because I just needed to jiggle it with my fork and knife to see that it was underdone. They took it back and it came back half medium and half slightly over medium well. What's killing me is that I was told that they had checked it the second time and I could see several cuts on the steak (that's crazy that the chef/cook had to figure out doneness that way). But one of the openings in the steak was clearly medium, which he later affirmed. So, I'm not sure what they checked before! The non-bloody parts of the steak did taste good, though. So, if you don't care about doneness, go for it. Also, they had weird plating on the steak. Go for the board or go for plates but this awkward plates on a cutting board means you delicately try to not knock anything off. Pro tip: scrape it all onto the board The calamari was tasty except the plate was half fried zucchini. Slick move to get $16 out of me for a tempura plate. Otherwise, service was pretty slow although the restaurant was maybe 1/4 occupied. I had my doubts since the spot a couple doors down had a one-hour wait. Should've trusted my gut.
