The service is the worst ever. The kid checking you out litterly laughed in my face when we asked for something on the sale ad..... he said No .. I only scan. I am a frequent shopper at Kroger. Carts are all in the parking lot, not in the store. Floors are not clean. Usually only one or two cashiers working and they may or may not be friendly. Watch the ground meat...it may be brown. Front end employees yelling at each other...and don't ask anyone to help bag your $100 of groceries at the self-check. They won't do it. Almost an organized mess but it's not organized just a mess. I'm confused as to how a place doesn't have normal business hours for customer service. We were in this place at 5:30pm checking out on a Monday and were told that customer service was closed and would reopen at 8am. I replied 8am until? The woman replied "until they feel like closing" *insert confused face emoji". That coupled with the lack of assistance while shopping and needing to inquire about certain product location is a Fail Fail. I found myself walking around with a couple of the elderly finding items on their list with them as they couldn't find any help. Restrooms at the store needs some serious cleaning and upgrades. I do not like to write negative items on any business. The store is well organized for groceries but lacking a little here. The staff is great here. Always willing to help. The food is fresh if you buy prepared items. They lent and fuzz on the vent needs to be addressed. The paper towel machine was broken and the paper towels were wet on one and due to being exposed to the counter top. This is a management area that needs to be addressed. This store has gone WAY downhill since they opened. This always happens, it seems. Generally, the Deli people won't wait on customers. The items aren't often stocked. This store is poorly managed. Motorized carts are old and NEVER charged up. Good luck finding a charged one if you need it!! They are also slow to retrieve the carts from outside. Very nice Kroger store in upscale toney Rockwall, Texas. Just one mile south of IH30 if you are travelling through east of Dallas area. The deli dept employees are very pleasant and helpful. The dept is clean and tidy, despite this being a popular store. Your choices can be rung up here, and nobody cares if you are nibbling in the aisles, just keep your receipt. I give kroger a 3 star review due to they discontinue items without letting people know. Some of the cashiers are very rude and the lines are very long and they don't always have baggers have had issues with the online ordering and pick up such and I have not received all my products because they could not be found. I love that the vegetables are fresh but sometimes there is some rotten ones. The store is kept decent and clean. Overall I like kroger but it does definitely disappoint some times. read more

Man walked around the store without a mask, checked out, without issue. I went to customer service and asked if masks are required. They said yes. I told them what happened. He said that they can't force people to wear them. I said, you can deny them service. He said, yes a manager could. I asked, does that ever happen? He said no. So...masks are not a requirement at Kroger, and I will be shopping elsewhere from now on, and encouraging all to do the same. read more

This store has really poor customer service. I often drive to a location that's further from home for better service. I'm pretty sure they only stay in business because the Rockwall area's grocery stores are spread out, making shopping at a competitor inconvenient. Here's my most recent example, but not the only bad experience. They rarely have enough open lanes to support the number of customers in the store. Some days they even encourage customers to use self checkout instead. This is not my preference, but I've finally given in because I don't want to wait in line for 5 minutes or more. This means I sometimes have to lookup items because they don't have bar codes. This is normally not a problem. Yesterday, I was attempting to buy a bulk bin item and there were no pens to write down the number. I thought "no big deal" I'll look it up at checkout. I was wrong. I couldn't find it. I pushed the button to ask for help. The lady comes over and starts trying to clear the help notification saying it's going off for some unknown reason. She had no intention of actually helping me. It goes downhill from there. I explain I can't lookup the item and she gets snotty with me saying they don't have lookup for bulk items and I was supposed to write down the code. I said there was no pens over there so I don't have the code. She pulls out a pen and just holds it out at me. I asked if she expected me to walk back over there and get it. She then gets more snotty and says she doesn't know what they are. So I told her what they were. She starts grumbling about how people steal the pens as if it's still somehow my fault that I didn't write down the number. read more

If you don't go shop on Thursday and stock up like it's the second coming, you're pretty much effed. You want lettuce? You're effed. You want half an half? You're effed. You want Horizon 1%? Guess what? Effed. I would rather pay $4.50 for a half gallon of organic milk instead of $3 for regular. But I have to buy the fuckin' $3 gallon milk because they never have the Horizon milk or half and half in stock. Why. Whyyyyyyyyyyyy. People in Rockwall are friendly. I'm finding that this particular Kroger is constantly busy, no matter what time of day you go. I shop here every Sunday, and it can be a pretty frustrating experience. The parking is ridiculous, but the most frustrating thing of all is going to an aisle to pick up something you buy every week, only to find that it's out of stock, or they no longer carry it. I don't know if customers are just buying things up before I get there, or if Kroger just doesn't stock enough product, but it makes me not want to shop there anymore. For example, I was buying fresh mint in the produce section, and now they don't stock it. Why? Luckily, the check out line moves pretty fast, but they need more baggers. I'm giving three stars because the prices are good, and I like the coupons I get in the mail. I know they are building another Kroger on the north side of Ridge Road. Hopefully this will help the overcrowding situation. read more

Pharmacy review - Wake up people!!! I have been patient and kind with the pharmacy staff at Kroger (Rockwall) since the store opened their doors, but enough is enough! Turn over is common and so is a snail pace. Yesterday, we spent 20 minutes waiting in the drive thru to drop off a prescription.....we were the third car from the window. The new prescription was dropped off along with a new Rx I.D. card. The clerk said she will make a note to return the card. Today, we pick up the prescription without the card enclosed. They cannot find it and claim they will call us if they find it. In all probability, the card is lost for good, so I call the pharmacy when we get home and request they call my insurance company and have it replaced since they lost it. No reason why I should be inconvenienced by their error and besides who wants to hold for 30 minutes for customer service. I find the pharmacy is losing their ability to maintain good customer service with the growing number of customers. read more

I see some negative reviews, and I'm a bit surprised. But then again... Rockwall's got a problem: from what I think I understand it has experienced a lot of growth in the last decade. Lots of people moved out there and lots of stores were put in. But the glaring gaping hole is that there are almost no grocery stores. Albertson's went out of business, so now there is this Krogers, Wal-Mart, and Brookshire's. Not a plethora of options. However, I can't stand grocery shopping or Wal-Mart (not that I really enjoy any shopping there), and Brookshires is further away. So I've been going to Kroger, and I really like it. One of the most important things for me about the upkeep/building of my grocery stores is the lighting. Some lighting, usually kind of yellowish, can make all the food look so unappealing and blah. Here the lighting is bright and white. While I'm not sure how the prices compare to the other options, there is a Kroger card. Just tell the cashier you want one, you don't have to fill out the paperwork if you don't want to. But scan the card. I save on average 2-5 bucks each small trip. read more

This is the best grocery store in Rockwall. That's not saying much though, since you only have 3 other choices. lol This Kroger is by out home in Rockwall, and other than the parking problems and pharmacy wait times, I have nothing to complain about. It's an upscale Kroger (Signature) with a small organic section, starbucks and a cheese rack. Not that I care about cheese much, but they must have 100 varieties here, which is good for east of the lake. This Kroger also has a great butcher shop, I love to by my ribeyes here to cook for guests at my place. Produce is fresh and reasonably priced. It's funny to see the Heath crowd in here, because its a difference of about $100k a year in income VS many of the Rockwall crowd. This is the kind of place you will see a woman in workout clothes and yoga pants... and full makeup. The kind of place that a McLaren parks... in the Handicap spot. :) You will see it all here at Kroger Rockwall. read more

Kroger Pharmacy in Rockwall will not honor GoodRX pricing unless you call in advance and even when you do they make you wait along time while others go through the line and they only honor so many transactions a month. In other words they make it as difficult as possible to use Good RX in the Rockwall Pharmacy. They say they are losing money because of the app but they are a member of GoodRX. I just want everyone to know what to expect if you use the app in this store. They were rude to my wife and myself. This is what it says in the Good RX app help section: What do I do if a pharmacist won't honor the coupon? Some pharmacists may not be aware of the agreement they have to accept GoodRx coupons. However, they are contractually obligated to honor the discounts and we can generally resolve any misunderstanding. Please start by calling the phone number provided on the coupon. I too have shopped here since this location opened and the Albertsons closed. Back then they were so concerned with Walmart every register would be open Saturday and Sunday. Now after yet another remodel they only have seven registers and then you still have to bag your own groceries. Two days in a row there's been no carts, you had to go get your own. This Kroger on Ridge Rd in Rockwall use to be so nice & well kept. I went in the other day & there was trash all in the entry way. The floors were so dirty & unkept. I was so surprised the supervisor/manager on duty had this Kroger's so awful. The workers were in a corner congregating & laughing, which is ok but help the lil old lady passing by or offer to carry grandpas bag. Come on let's get it together people "pay it forward." I like Kroger. It has been a growing relationship. I first appreciated their reliable produce. I mean you know and I know that Wal-mart is not the place to get your produce (especially berries). Any-who, then I was psyched about the fuel points. I mean that is a bonus. Hello!....Fill her up on pump 8. But they have what you want and more. And it's true what the ads say, you really do get checked out very quickly. I never have a hard time like I do at Wal-mart. Don't misunderstand me, I still go to Wallyland, but Kroger beats them everywhere but price. Kroger is decent enough with the discounts from Rewards members which is free. I love kroger! I will not shop at another store in Rockwall. Their produce always looks great, the meats are always a good value and quality. The store itself is pretty and shelves are always well stocked. The ladies at the bakery sometimes treat me rudely, but maybe because I look like I am 17 and I ask for complicated things. This store was one of my favorites but it has become congested and hard to navigate due to so many extra aisles made of product. Went to take my mother in law to the bathroom and had to move the bins to get through. When we got to the bathroom it was filthy! Water all over the floor and toilets a mess.
