Smoak Town BBQ I stopped by Smoak Town BBQ after hearing great things -- and it definitely lived up to the hype! I ordered the one meat plate with brisket, mac & cheese, and beans. The brisket was tender, flavorful, and had that perfect smoke ring and bark you hope for in Texas barbecue. The beans were hearty and had shredded meat in them -- they were good, just a little spicier than my usual style. The mac & cheese was awesome -- creamy, cheesy, and the perfect comfort side. The barbecue sauce was spot-on too ~ rich, tangy, and full of flavor. The outdoor setup adds to the experience ~ picnic tables under a covered area, stacks of wood, and that unmistakable BBQ aroma in the air. It's got that laid-back, small-town Texas charm where everyone's just enjoying good food and good company. The lady who took our order was so sweet and welcoming -- a true example of Southern hospitality. She made the experience even better! The line wasn't long, and we didn't have to wait too long for our food -- a big plus on a busy day. They also have banana bread pudding, which I didn't get to try this time, but it's on my list for next visit. Overall, Smoak Town BBQ is a solid spot that earns its Texas Monthly Top 50 recognition. Great food, friendly service, and an authentic Texas BBQ vibe. I only give HONEST and TRUE Reviews from the Heart. Thank you for taking the time to read it & react to it.

"We followed the Smoak... and found BBQ glory at the end of the trail." TL;DR: Smoak Town BBQ brought the fire. Brisket, turkey, and pulled pork were all bark, bite, and beauty. The sides held their own. Hospitality was five-star, straight from the pitmaster's heart. Worth every mile and every empty stomach rumble on the road to BBQ salvation. This one smokes the competition. It's early on a Saturday morning. The truck's full of gas, the cooler's iced down like a Yeti in January, and I've got a few cans of Celsius riding shotgun. The mission? Four BBQ joints in one day, and Smoak Town BBQ was stop number one. The wife, aka my side dish queen, decided to sit this East Texas meat parade out. Said something about wanting to "catch up on work." Translation: she didn't want to be trapped in a brisket-scented truck with two grown men arguing over which pitmaster has the best bark. Her loss. My buddy Big D rolled up right on time, and we hit the road with the same focus as a pitmaster watching a firebox. First stop: Smoak Town BBQ, nestled in the heart of Fate. By 10:15, we were pulling into a food park that had more wood stacks than a small lumber yard. Official opening time was 11, but we figured a little Texas charm and hungry eyes might work in our favor. Pitmaster Cameron Haley greeted us like we were family showing up late to Sunday dinner. No hesitation. No fuss. He built us a plate that could've made a grown man weep. That plate? A trio of meat magic: thick-cut turkey slices that were moist and seasoned like Thanksgiving came early, brisket with a bark that crackled like campfire kindling and a center that surrendered like slow-simmered butter, and pulled pork so tender I thought about calling it sweetheart. Mac and cheese came creamy, beans came bold, and that homemade sauce? It was the kind of dark, tangy elixir you want to bottle and baptize your next brisket in. The setting? Casual. Honest. Covered seating and small-town pride hanging in the air. His sons were out "hunting frogs" nearby, which, let's be honest, is just elite-level prep work for future BBQ pitmasters. We cleaned our plate like it owed us money. No leftovers. No regrets. Just smiles and sauce-stained fingers. We shook Cameron's hand and promised to be back when we had time to linger and eat slow. This place deserves a second visit with the full crew and side dish queen in tow. 18th stamp in the passport collected. 32 to go.

We absolutely love Smoak Town BBQ! It's the best BBQ ever! We love the people, fun atmosphere, and dog friendly seating area. This week we ordered ahead for our game party. The wonderful crew loaded my car with freshly prepared food. The BBQ and sides were perfection! Thank you Smoak Town BBQ for making our party a huge win!

Brisket and Pork Belly Burnt Ends.

Exceeded all expectations! I had heard about this place a while ago and now regret I took so long to try it. The Pork Belly Burnt Ends are phenomenal and the brisket is delicious too!!! This is now our favorite BBQ place!

Haven't been here in a while but was craving some bbq. Got a two meat plate with two sides. Ribs were delicious and I'm still thinking about that potato salad. Service was quick. Got my food in less than 5 minutes. There is a large tented seating area with TV's. Maybe when the weather is in the 70's, I would stay. Was a bit too hot today. Definitely a good spot to have right in Downtown Fate.

My wife and I tried this place for lunch on a Friday and it was good. We got there around 1030 not knowing if there would be a line or not, and we were the first people there. We tried the 2 meat plates. My wife got the turkey and sausage. I tried the brisket and pulled pork. They had a special that day of PB&J burnt ends, but they would not let you do a 3 meat plate with it because it was a special order. It was $16.50 for 1/2 pound so I stuck with the 2 meat, but when I went to pick up the order they decided to let me try 1/4 pound of the PB&J burnt ends for $8.50. For sides we had the corn, potato salad, beans and mac and cheese. For the two 2 meat plates with sides and 2 sodas it was $67. We made multiple meals out of it. The sides were great. The corn had a sweeter flavor to it which I enjoyed. My wife didn't care for the turkey (weird after taste) but she liked the sausage. The pulled pork was tasty. The brisket was good, but a tad dry. Overall, it was a good lunch and it's definitely worth checking out. But, being so far away from Dallas, nothing stood out to make me want to make the trek again.

Double patty brisket burger comes with chips

This place is seriously amazing. We came on Wednesday about 12 as suggested for the brisket burger and wow just wow. They only do burgers on Wednesday and this is the day to come. It literally melts in your mouth. They could not have been any nicer too. It's a food truck with good parking and good seating. We will come back for the meats

Saturday 11am, Sep 28th. Second time here and awesome. Had the pork ends. Oh man! Corn had a cinnamon thing going on and the beans had a lot of heat. So dang good. $18 for wifey and I to share this.

Best bbq in the rockwall county! Friendly service, great food. It is an outdoor setting but it is enjoyable.

Smoak town is the best BBQ we've tried yet in the DFW area. If you're in or around Fate, you won't regret giving them a try!
