This place is a great venue. The drinks here are good. The food & service was ok. The burger was terrible. The quality of the meat was not good at all. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a frozen patty from the grocery store. The pulled pork mac & cheese was a generous portion & the pork was a little on the salty side. Pork belly burnt ends were ok, but the appetizer portion was small. It was great for kids to run & and play, but many were unsupervised & throwing rocks at each other. They also had a food truck offering their own items. My advice is to get the food from the food truck. read more

Just left out first visit to the Northside. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff is incredible and the food is insanely good. We got asked several time how our food was and if we needed anything. (You can tell how much everyone working there takes pride in their job) My kiddos enjoyed the large space to run around which gave us parents some time to relax. We will definitely be back!!! read more

This is an outside venue with a nice bar and seating area. It has a large screen TV for sport events and also has entertainment. In addition to the food available from the venue, food trucks are also available. This is a family place with lots of children so be prepared to share the area with plenty of families. read more

So excited to have The Northside so close to home. A friend and I came on a Sunday afternoon, so it wasn't busy, which was nice. They had live music which is awesome. We shared the pulled pork nachos and they were so good. I didn't care for the first cocktail I ordered, so the server took it off the tab and let me order another one. It was a spicy margarita and it wasn't bad. The cocktails could be better. The service was great and the whole venue is just such a cool vibe. I'm curious to see how they'll do when the heat and humidity arrive. Having some misters may be good. Or if they can think of a way to have more shade. read more

So I've now been to this place twice and we absolutely love it, there is plenty of shade to avoid the heat and fire pits to ward off the cold. The drinks: in my opinion are delicious, I've tried 4 so far and liked them all, the prices are reasonable and service is fast. Both times I went was a busy weekend evening and I didn't notice any slow service people commented about. The food: they offer limited options like nachos, potatoes w/ pulled pork, burnt ends-I have yet to try these since it's only available until sold out but the nachos are huge and definitely a bang for your buck. They offer rotating food trucks- they are slow and still trying to figure out how to handle the crowds so be aware it takes time. Ambiance: lots of places to hang out and plenty of seating, kids are allowed to throw a ball and be kids on the turf. In my opinion this is a prime example of how to open a business and run it successfully, the owner exes walks around and checks on you. Thanks for bringing such a fun spot up north! read more

There were two food trucks when we went and we only were able to try one. It had some great tacos! The burnt ends from their own restaurant were seriously like meat candy, the staff were friendly and just awesome folks, and of course it is hard to beat outdoors with live music. :) I recommend but either get there early or see where their shuttle will pick you up as the parking is very sparse. read more

We came out to visit them the other weekend. Very nice inviting place and lots of seating, lots of kids and good service. Was still quiet opening but Megan was very nice and personable. They are now offering trolly service in some areas to help with the parking situation and I know you have to plan in advance to get on there schedule. It is kind of tight and small suggest carpooling or Uber. We had the Nashville hot chicken truck and man o man awesome. Glad took his suggestions of going medium since runs hot and spicy. Have not been during evening hours yet but it's always lit up. Looking forward to going back since so close as well! read more

I took my family here for lunch one weekend. The overall layout has lots of potential. I enjoy the turf and large lawn chairs and the food was pretty good. There is 1-2 activities for kids older than 4 maybe. My daughter is one and could only walk around. The wait for service was a bit slow and same for the food. There isn't much shade in their main area, only at the dining options. I'd only go back if they added more toddler friendly activities and more shade. It would also be nice for them to have adult size jenga, darts maybe, cards, etc. I wouldn't call it super family friendly, in my opinion. read more

This is our second time here. Service was incredibly slow. Took over an hour to get our guacamole. Had to check on items several times. Drinks were not well made. Mac & Cheese was horrible and was not eaten. Loaded potato were a mess. First visit was much better. Its was a beautiful day to sit outside and a great place to gather family. I think this place is a great concept but still having growing pains. Food is ok - average overpriced bar food. I like being outside with live music. My biggest problem was that the entire place is overly family friendly. Maybe more kids than adults when we were there on a Friday night. Children running all over the place, yelling etc... I get it because I have kids but would be nice to have an adult area. We probably won't be back for a while. read more

Great Service. Very friendly staff. Awesome outdoor area with great seating and TV. Drinks are over priced. The food was not good. Jumbo hotdog was just a regular hotdog. If you are expecting a Costco dog this isn't it. The Chicken wrap was marginal. For 15.00 would expect a really good wrap. Missed it by a mile. The bowl with chicken was terrible. Rice was reheated and the chicken was like chicken jerky. Left over from the day before I'm certain. I eat everything and I didn't even eat 1/3 of this. Do not order it. It's really bad and it was $17.00. We did let our server know. They did not remove it from our bill. Will not be back. read more

Unorganized. Took my wife, adult son and self. Surprise! Was told we must be members after walking in and getting table. Was told to go to entry booth and fill out papers, but no one was in booth on our entry, or after going back to booth, so we left. Worked up a sweat running around attempting to get our membership, but no one in booth. It started getting hot, the place was not organized, so we went to a nearby restaurant ten minutes away, food was wonderful and they were organized. read more

My husband and I have really been wanting to try this place. We decided to give it a try on a beautiful Saturday night. The weather was perfect so this was a great place to be. The service was great. There were people cleaning and checking on us the whole time we were there. We each had a couple of drinks and just shared some nachos because we weren't very hungry. The nachos were really good and big. We barely finished half of them. The shredded beef on them was so good. My husband was just drinking bourbon but I tried two of their specialty cocktails - the Rockwall Sunset and a Rockwallian (espresso martini). Both drinks were really good. The atmosphere was perfect. It wasn't packed but they had a good crowd of people. There was plenty of room and seating available. We had waited this long to go because we thought it might be too crowded but now I wish I would have gone sooner. We will definitely be back -probably this week. Folks, I'm not one to write a review but wow ! This is not the first time I've been here and what a shame and a waste of what could be an amazing thing. The staff of young kids I assume are employed by the transportation company behind them are not friendly and appear to only be there for free drinks. It's sad as I've used the transportation company and thought they were amazing.. The food is whatever you get and it was just disappointing. I love the venue and was asking about having a wedding there but quickly scratched that off the list. Maybe I picked 4 bad days but I am honestly wondering if anyone feels the same way. read more

This is neat new spot in Rockwall. It's a cool place to hang outside. They have live music and you can bring your kids. There were 2 food trucks available and I ate at one of them, SmokeyD'sBBQandsoulfood. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. The best BBQ I have ever had, 10/10. Food was good. Limited options and then 2 food trucks. Service is slow, due to not having enough workers. Wouldn't recommend watching a game here until they fix the internet. Came for the elite 8 games and the service kept dropping so didn't get to catch the end of regulation and OT. Plus hard to see the big screen unless sitting straight on. It's a new place so hopefully they'll work the kinks out, because it'd be a fun spot to be outside. read more
