Eeee ahh ohh hey! I don't know how to put this review into words but I will try really hard :p. Off the bat when I walked in this place it has all the feels of West Fort Worth. Yeah, like the slums of West Fort Worth back in 2015 when I first discovered it. Smoke filled, cheap beers, random people, friendly but it's the wild, Wild West.... Am I welcome here or not? Yes, I am. ;) lady bartender tender called me baby, sweetheart and all the good things your ex called you back when you were still together haha. Lady bartender next to us where we sat at the bar have the same exact purse I was carrying that night. It has all the mixed emotions of a girl who had broken up with her bf but they still talk on the weekends feel. Lol Come here! It's friendly but smoky. I was in town from San Diego visiting family and this was the bar closest to me. It is hard to get a read on the vibe from the outside, but once I came in, lots of space, fully capable and friendly bartenders. Dollars stapled to the ceiling with messages from years gone by, most of them saying how awesome the bartenders are. You must present an ID no matter your age because technically, it is a members only bar, but that's just a formality.... Unless you forget your ID. Have a great time! read more

I still CANNOT believe we have a legit dive-bar only 5 miles from our house, that we had never tried!! This pkace is so far off the beaten path that you will never stumble upon it by accident. Use a good GPS, or follow a regular to this hidden gem. Pool-tables, karaoke, kitschy interior with $1-bills tacked or taped onto every surface - this place is Dive Bar Heaven! Friendly bartender. Also, by the time we left, we knew a couple of regular patrons - and they had filled us in on every aspect of this treasure! It operates like a Private Club; they scan your driver's license the first visit. If you start a fight; you are permanently banned (we saw this rule enforced) - this probably keeps a lot of 'riff-raff' out of their hair. The regulars raved about their burgers, so we'll have to try those next time. (Chips if you meed a side, no fries.) Smoking is allowed, so plan to wash your clothes after you visit. Came on Valentines evening 2020. Great decision too!!This is such a great, fun little hidden dive bar. We always go with a group that comes here often so they know everyday and makes the experience so much more fun!! They have karaoke and you can dance and play shuffleboard and have some amusement games too. The only thing I would complaint is the cigarette smoke is like a thick cloud inside. After doing a Google search, this place popped up as a "cocktail bar". Let's be clear, unless you consider Jack & Coke a cocktail, this is NOT a cocktail bar. I'm an occasional cigar smoker, and was told this place allowed smoking. Yes, they do allow smoking. The ceilings are so low you can reach up and touch them, and the smoke is so thick you can barely get through it. With 10 people smoking cigarettes all around me, I was told I could not light a cigar, right after being told that the best bourbon or whiskey they had in the place was Crown? If you're only looking for a beer and/or well drinks, and if you're okay with the smoke, then this place is ok. It has a decent crowd of regulars who all seemed pretty nice. The staff was friendly other than the rude manner in which I was told that I could smoke a pack of cigarettes but not a good cigar. Did not stick around long enough to try the food. This place has been a neighborhood staple for many years, with lots of long time regulars. But don't let the 4+ stars fool you. This is not a nice cocktail bar, this is a smoke-filled dive bar, and sometimes those are fun and cool places . I'd say try this place out, but keep your expectations in line. read more

You want a small known but not known dive bar? This is it. The drunks in the back were able to give perfect directions to this hidden place. It was an after the other bars kinda visit. They had friendly bar tenders. A karaoke DJ and a door man. Make sure you bring ID as it's considered private ( like Unicard days...) The drinks were poured right and a decent price. It's kinda like "Cheers" Everybody knows your name....I have been a patron of this bar for a few years now. It is in walking distance to my house. Be prepared for loud DJ/Karaoke, but it is good, fun music every time! The DJ is an absolute hoot! And he keeps the party hopping til 2 in the mornin....(Seriously!). It is rather smoky and they could stand for some updating on their ventilation system. But hey, there's cheap, STRONG drinks to take your mind off of your eyes burning out of your head...LOL! The crowd is very diverse just as everyone else has mentioned. And OMG! let me tell you, they have the BEST burger in town (in my opinon)!! Great little watering hole right behind Waterview in Rowlett. Always a good, diverse group of people here and everyone is respectful for the most part. The crowd seems to get younger as the night gets later which is definitely alright by me, but the age ranges from early 20's up to 70's. Drinks are pretty strong. There are only two pool tables and a shuffle board table. I really wish the place was bigger but it's still very fun. Karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights. Service is excellent-Shirley and Morris are great bartenders. Drink prices are about average. Surely wish they were cheaper, but I could say that about most places. If you don't like smoke, I advise you to stay away. Due to the small size of the place (it's more like a small frame house), the smoke can get very thick. I find myself smelling like smoke for a few days afterward, and yes I do shower! Parking is not great at all and the later it gets it becomes worse. What an awesome little bar! Went with a friend for the 1st time last Tuesday for lunch. We both agreed we'd be back and soon. The hamburgers are delicious! I had some concerns about reviews I read saying the place is "smokey" as they remain cigarette friendly. I'm sensitive to 2nd hand cigarette smoke and I was not bothered at all by the folks at the bar smoking. It would seem their ventilation system is extremely effective. I also read a concern regarding their parking lot and motorcycles. The parking lot is fine, it's hard packed not loose gravel and they even have an area right by the front door reserved for motorcycles. The lady behind the bar was super friendly. Got bothered by lots of people making low key racist jokes and also some not so low key racist jokes. All 3 of us are Asian American. Was very disappointing. This place it great on Tuesday night. $2 Tuesday means $2 domestic beers and $2 burgers. $2,50 if you want cheese on it. Our jet boat club has been meeting up there every Tuesday night for a couple of month now and don't see that changing anytime soon. Peanuts are free and the tradition is to just throw the shells on the floor. You can still smoke inside this place, which adds to the dive bar theme. Some people complain about that. I'm a non smoker myself and have been around the block a time or two. The smoke in this bar is nothing like back in the 80's when you could barely see the other side of the bar. Imagine a neighborhood honky tonk with a biker, yuppie, redneck, and at times, hot chick vibe. That's the Ramblin' Rose. My go to watering hole for nearly 15 years. Used to ride harleys with the owner back in the day. While there have been some renovations over the years, its still a dive bar but its more than that. I can meet my harley bros there for a cold one, play pool after a day of fishing on the lake, have guys from work over to talk shop, and every now and then do a little dancing and try to get into a friendly old school bar brawl. If I could leave less than one star I would, the bouncer was extremely rude while checking IDs and cussed my sister and I out. She snatched my sisters ID, who is 22 years old, out of her hand and told us to get the fuck out.
