There is a certain energy in a restaurant when people trust it, and Creekside has that. We started with the crab and shrimp dip, which came out hot, creamy, and loaded with flavor. It is one of those appetizers that everyone at the table keeps going back to without even thinking about it. For dinner, we ordered the Red Snapper Alexander and the chicken cutlet parmesan, and this is where the night really took off. The red snapper was cooked perfectly, topped with sautéed shrimp in a white wine sauce that added flavor without overwhelming the fish. The balance was impressive, and the presentation matched what you would expect from a much higher priced restaurant. Then there was the chicken parmesan. As Italians, we do not say this lightly, but this dish stood out in a big way. Creekside blends Alfredo and marinara into a creamy, well-balanced sauce that takes a classic and elevates it. The chicken was lightly breaded, the mozzarella was fresh, and every bite delivered. We awarded this dish our Best of the Best for Chicken Parmesan, and that is something we reserve for dishes that truly separate themselves from the rest. Service was excellent throughout the night. Our server Erin was attentive, knowledgeable, and helped guide us to some great choices. One small note, the fish and chips did not quite match the level we had experienced on a previous visit. It was still good, just not at the same level we had come to expect. That said, it did not take away from what was otherwise a fantastic meal. If you are looking for a place that delivers an upscale feel without the upscale price tag, this is it. Great for date nights, family dinners, or just a night out where you want consistently good food.

The bar seating was plentiful I have to applaud the bartender for letting me try a wine first before deciding on it. The ambiance is very upscale but the menu is very affordable. I look forward to trying more items.

The restaurant was very clean (even the restroom) and comfortable with a small yet relaxing bar inside. Outside seating is covered from the sun with a small artificial grass area for the children to play. The menu has a nice choice of options with many specials. And a separate beverage menu to choose from as well. Our server Madison was great (so was the gentleman that seated us) attentive, upbeat & knowledgeable. We ordered two pies. The CBF on a gluten free crust. The pizza crust had nice texture & the chicken had a nice smoky taste but, overall a little dry. Definitely needed more smoked mozzarella & farmhouse toppings. I had the straight fire pizza & it was good but, I would prefer for the topping to be a bit more done. The toppings (especially the jalapeños) were still pretty fresh, barely cooked & because the crust is so thin, if you fire it too hot, the pie becomes well done and the toppings are undercooked. So, we're going with a 3.2 overall. Will definite try again. Enjoy!

The staff is always friendly and pleasant, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy working here. There are plenty of seating options: a cozy bar area, three separate dining rooms, a large patio with its own bar, and even picnic tables out back. I think the upstairs may be reserved for private events. Every time I visit, I end up ordering the same thing because it's just that good--the Naked Chicken three-piece. Absolutely delicious! I'm also glad they now offer two sides with your entrée for a small extra charge. The mac & cheese and green beans are both amazing. I've tried a cocktail or two, but usually skip them since the portions are small for the price. Overall, this is such a fun, charming spot with consistently great food. Definitely one of my go-to favorites! Add it to the Love List

Brick and Bones Backyard is a blue house on the corner of Main St. in Rowlett, Tx, that has been transformed into something magical. This Mexican-Inspired "chicken shop" is offering fried & rotisserie chicken, classic cocktails, and live music in a rustic setting. The menu is diverse and offering all things chicken that is brined 24 hours, fried and can be order breaded or naked( for the gluten-free in you). They also have rotisserie chicken, tenders, sandwiches, salads, bowls and wings, along with unique sides. Poblano mashed potatoes, habanero mac n cheese, mexican corn, etc... often garnished with fresh radish and cilantro around out the menu, with top notch service to boot. Mi marido ordered the breaded fried chicken, mexican corn and poblano mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken was well seasoned with a great crunch. The potatoes had good flavor, but were barely warm. I can imagine their greatness heated. The mexican corn on the other hand was the real elote deal! The fresh snap of sweet corn, dosed with cotija cheese and spices lives up to the hype! Sweet, spicy, savory, it hit all the flavor profiles. I had the naked chicken with an order crinkle fries(faves) which was greatly appreciated for it's gluten-freeness and flavor. However, it was abit overcooked. Which left it thready and a little dry. The sauce that accompanied it, was needed, but shouldn't have been, while the fries were fresh, but undercooked. The concept and flavors make Brick & Bone standout on the chicken front. Better execution can make it a cut above the rest. Check It Out!

We had a reservation, which is recommended because the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night in May. We opted to sit on the patio because the weather was gorgeous. I am not sure if the patio is climate controlled in the summer or not. But on that night we were there, the weather was mild so it was very pleasant. They have happy hour on Saturdays so I started with an IPA on tap and the wife had a Prosecco, also for happy hour prices. This is a tapas restaurant so I will try to remember all that we had. Manchego cheese board: excellent. The crisps and jam were perfect with the cheese. Potato torilla: excellent. The flavors melded very well and it was very tasty. It's filling so keep that in mind. Ceviche de jalapeno: excellent. Not too spicy, the shrimp and seafood was fresh with no fishy smell. The plantains were cooked perfectly, not greasy. Brisket on crostini: excellent. Forget the name but they are a winner. Brisket is good quality and the flavors come together nicely. Chicken skewer: excellent. They smartly use chicken thighs so the meat is juicy and tender. Tuna tartare: good. It actually was my least favorite. The quality was very good but it did not have much flavor. I needed some heat, some acid, something to give it a kick. We were absolutely stuffed and did not try dessert. Our server Marcellus was excellent. Very helpful and pleasant throughout. He never disappeared for too long. Overall, we had a great meal and will undoubtedly return here again.
