First off let's talk about the vibe starting out in the parking lot. Valet. The gentleman there was great. The host was pleasant and our server OLIVIA 2 (The Real Olivia) was great. We appreciate you during our first outing here. I talk a lot and I know you had a lot of tables so I appreciate you talking with us more than you probably had time for. We got to meet the GM. My husband discovered Wade's Landing by chance. He happened to be driving by and noticed the new restaurant. It was the valet service that caught his eye and peaked his interest that it might be a place we would enjoy. The inside of the restaurant is decorated simply, yet nicely, in warm, welcoming colors. The staff is primarily made up of respectful young people who have been trained well in customer service. They were a bit understaffed on a Sunday afternoon, which made service a little slow, but we were in no hurry and I completely know what it's like to work with not enough people, so I have no complaints about that, although there were several tables near us that weren't happy about the slow service. We got cocktails to start and they were good. I wanted the cocktail with the peanut butter tequila, but they ran out of the tequila, which was a little off putting, but The Grind and Day Drinking were suitable options. We ordered the deviled eggs appetizer and the presentation was lovely. I appreciated the smooth texture of the yolked stuffing, but there was absolutely no flavor to it. No seasoning at all. It did have a tasty bacon jam garnish, which helped, but I definitely wouldn't order them again. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The food looked tantalizing enough, the chicken was fried well with a good crispy batter and a moist center. But again, the flavor was lacking. A little seasoning would've made all the difference. The waffle was okay. My husband had the French toast, which was a little soggy, but he said it was good. We will give it a little time, let them work out the kinks, and we may try Wade's Landing again...maybe for Happy Hour or dinner. read more

The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I Love their soft lighting and tasteful decor. The music wasn't too loud so you could have a conversation without having to yell. We were celebrating our anniversary and they had a cute vase with flowers and a personalized note saying Happy Anniversary. We were given complimentary glasses of champagne too, a very nice touch! The service was exceptional throughout the evening. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, ensuring that everything was perfect without being intrusive. The staff worked seamlessly, and we never felt rushed during our meal. The food was equally outstanding. Our dishes- Miso glazed salmon and The Landing burger, the appetizer- the million dollar deviled eggs as well as my cocktail- 'It's 5 o'clock somewhere' were beautifully presented and full of flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. Overall, this restaurant delivered an excellent dining experience with wonderful service, a comfortable and sophisticated atmosphere, and delicious food. Went here for dinner. Ordered an app and the waitress suggested that it was too small for 2 people and we should probably get something else. I thought to myself that's not really an appetizer then but ok let's order another. It came out and was pretty good and was plenty for 2 people so it felt to me like she was trying to get me to order more than I needed to. Then order 2 dinners one was the tuna tacos the tuna was over cooked and dry. Had some 2 drinks each which were ok but way over priced so total bill for 2 people was $200. I feel like for the quality of food service and overall ambiance it wasn't worth $200 I won't be back personally. This should have been maybe $120 ticket for what we got in my opinion. read more

This place has a cool atmosphere, and a rustic look to it. It is somewhat small, with half of its dining outdoors (with a covering). I came on a wet/rainy day so I didn't particularly love that part of it. The staff were friendly and the service was decent. Their menu had several appealing options, but most of our party (myself included) complained about the lack of flavor in the entrees. I had the Chicken Parmigiana, which came out looking amazing! The pasta was tasteless, unfortunately, and the chicken was one ingredient away from being great. I did, however, enjoy the preparation. The chicken had a prefect level of crispy and it was a decent cut as well. I wouldn't mind coming back to try out other items. read more

I'm giving 5 stars even though the Ceviche was bland and lacking. There was an abundance of shrimp but no heat or seasoning. We ended up squeezing lemon over it and added salt to help, but again, needed some heat as it had zero. Otherwise, "Olivia 2" was an exceptional server. Very attentive and personable. We had the Fish and Chips, Grilled Salmon and blackberry ice cream dessert. All were wonderful! Really impressed with the Fish and Chips. It's hard to find cod F&C around here. The portions were impressive and hearty. Well worth the price. Everything was cooked perfect. Love the atmosphere. Lots of windows but not glaring or bright with the tint. The wicker lights give a soft amber relaxing light that I prefer so I was very comfortable. Cocktails were tasty and authentic. Such a cute place although kind of small. They do different specials each day and Thursdays ladies get a free bottle of rosé! The service was great and the people were truly wonderful. The place was decorated so nicely for the holidays. The happy hour is very limited. We only tried the apps but the deviled eggs and boom boom shrimp were good. Very welcoming restaurant with friendly staff from the front of the house to the back. We had great service and the manager even stopped by to check on us. I had the broccolini which was grilled with Parmesan and capers and lemon and very tasty. They initially came out cold however, our server quickly took them back and they came out piping hot. My husband had a turkey burger, which she loved with a Side of Truffle fries Which actually came out cold but again they quickly fix that. Place so nice I've been there way more than twice! Went there on a whim just to try it out and now it's my go to for as many meals as possible. I live an hour away if that tells you anything. Just spent a weekend "staycation" in Rockwall, visiting from Ft Worth, with some girlfriends this weekend. Started Saturday with brunch at Book Club Cafe. Asked our server to recommend a local bar close by. He recommended Wade's Landing. We sat at the bar and had some delicious cocktails! Irish coffee and Mexican Candy marg were delicious. Great and friendly service. Ambience was super cool. It was a cold and cloudy day and it felt so warm and cozy inside. We liked it so much that we made resi for brunch this morning. We came in for our mid-week date night and ordered the pork belly, chicken Parmesan pasta, miso glazed salmon, and a crème brûlée. While the pork belly appetizer was good, everything else was well above par! The flavors, textures, and composition of the chicken Parmesan, salmon dish, and crème brûlée were all absolutely spot-on. The food has been really good, the service not so much. We made a reservation for our anniversary and they still wanted to seat us in the back nine even though there was open booths inside. I once ordered spinach artichoke dip and got a cheesy dip that had no spinach or artichoke. The special that night was beef stew that was more like caldo de res. Not thick and rich at all. Was it tasty? Yes but do not beef stew. I get the creative licensing but seriously? I may try another two times to be fair and should this happen again... I say of all this as if they care what I think. Whatever! In my experience you should try a place for yourself. We don't all have the same taste. read more
